1 ME51n - Item Details ME51n Purpose Use this procedure to populate the ME51n/ME52n Item Details section. Trigger Perform this procedure after you complete the ME51n/ME52n Header and Item Overview section. Prerequisites Menu Path Complete the ME51n Header section. Complete the ME51n Item Overview section. Use the following menu path(s) to begin this transaction: Select Logistics > Materials Management > Purchasing > Purchase Requisition to go to the ME51n Create screen. Transaction Code ME51n Helpful Hints None Page 1 / 12
2 Procedure Create Purchase Requisition Item Overview section This field displays the Line Item that you are viewing. Use the arrow buttons to toggle between line items. Item Details section Use the Repeat On button to automatically repeat the account assignment on subsequent line items. After you enter all the line items in the Item Overview section, press enter and the Item Detail section appears. Page 2 / 12
3 Create Purchase Requisition Account Assignment Tab Account Assignment Category. (C, S, M, A, or P) Account Assignment Tab If the account assignment category is a C, complete/review the Account Assignment information: G/L acct R Enter the GL account number Example: Cost Center R Enter the Cost Center Example: c1410a Requestor R Enter the name of the Requestor. Example: Kevin Phone # R Enter the phone number. Example: Page 3 / 12
4 Create Purchase Requisition Account Assignment Tab Account Assignment Category. (C, S, M, A, or P) If the account assignment category is a S, complete the Account Assignment information: G/L account R Enter the GL account information. Example: WBS element R Enter the specially funded program number Example: 5 Requestor R Enter the name of the Requestor. Example: Kevin Phone Number R Enter the phone number. Example: NOTE: If you are using another account assignment category (F, A, M, or P), please read and follow the special training documents that will explain each process in greater detail. 5 Create Purchase Requisition Material Data Tab As required, complete/review the following fields: Material O If you are ordering from Office Depot, you can insert the material number into this field. Short Text R Enter a short description of the line item. Material Group R Enter the material group of the line item. Page 5 / 12
6 Create Purchase Requisition Quantities/dates Tab As required, complete/review the following fields: Quantity R Enter the line item quantity Delivery Date R Enter the expected delivery date Page 6 / 12
7 Create Purchase Requisition Valuation Tab As required, complete/review the following fields: Valuation Price R Enter the net price of the line item Goods Receipt Box: If the PR contains a good that is to be delivered, the GR box should be checked. Uncheck the GR box if you are creating a PR for a service. Page 7 / 12
8 Click Create Purchase Requisition Source of Supply Tab As required, complete/review the following fields: Fixed Vendor R Enter the Vendor you are ordering from. Purchase Organization R The Purchasing Organization should always be 1. Page 8 / 12
