Best practice tip: Familiarize yourself with the areas of change by accessing the application. Version Deployment Updates to the RediStay application are released automatically to the RediStay servers. Persons logged into the application at the time of the deployment will receive a prompt advising them that a new version is available. If not logged into the application at the time of the upgrade, the new version will be installed with the next launch of the application. Key Features of RediStay PMS Release The focus of each version update is to achieve a balance between performance enhancements, brand initiatives, customer requests and defect corrections based on priority of the case and ROI. Performance enhancements refer to measurable return times in back end processes and/or front end form return. Both back end/database processes were examined for optimization as well as front end, screen return rates. Most used aspects of the application were targeted, e.g., front office functions. 3 2 Itemized List New Improvements/Changes in Property Management Application: Type Item # Title Description Concur Create new check box on DB where we can designate that the Universal CC/DB account is priority for GTD at PMS when other cards are present. When the box is checked, new reservations should have the direct bill as primary GTD in PMS Same CC Token When a cc is tokenized and the customer checks-in and uses the CC pin-pad machine, two tokens were on the account both ending in the same last 4-digits. GSRs didn t know which one was the new-card present token. Modification was made so that existing token is removed after pin-pad transaction. There should only be one token per card on reservation at any given time Verify CC New functionality introduced to validate credit card transactions at time of booking. A property setup item was created to enable channels for Verify functionality. Properties will need to notify XXXX when they want to enable the functionality and which channels to enable, CRS, PMS, redroof.com, Synxis, Booking.com, Expedia. Once enabled any transactions that came through the channel would be verified through Shift 4 to determine if it is a valid credit card. The transaction is subject to a regular transaction fee. If the card is returned as an invalid card, then the GTD of the reservation will be set to BAD. The property then can make the determination to hold or cancel the reservation following the channel guidelines (e.g., extranet) Sort on Mgr DNR Sorting for any of the column headers is now available on Manager -> Do Not Rent List screen Reset Password When user account was set to Must change password at next login, no prompt was provided to the user on their next login. Logic changed to advise user that their password should be changed Discrepancy with DOTN Corrected condition where when charges were added while reservation in a Reserved status, the charges posted in RediStay but did not communicate with Shift 4. Now when changes are posted in any status, the charge will post to DOTN. If a time out or fail occurs, a clean up process was created to Group Folio Boxes Corrected condition where group folio transaction boxes were out of alignment Tax Exempt & LC When a guest is using a Loyalty Certificate was posted, and the user presses the Tax exempt option, the user should receive the tax exempt pop-up box and the taxes exempted should reflect the appropriate taxes which were posted.

When the credit card receipt is printed after a payment is made, the company ID is modified to represent the actual Corp ID, not an internal application reference ID Extend Stay When attempting to extend a guest stay, GSR would receive error condition indicating room is out of order with dates applicable. The application was looking at arrival date which would throw an invalid error condition. The application was modified to look at the property s business date when determining the dates forward to review out of order. Edit icon available on paginated Recent Accounts form Program Rule addition for Member Source/ EXP RC Nicest Price Added view of reward transaction exclusion reason Contact Center Guest Middle Name now copied to new reservation when the copy function utilized. Corrected condition where fax number on group confirmation letters (GTD and Interim) did not display appropriately. Updated logic for branded credit card so that if a valid offer is present, the popup would not close if available. This should alleviate the timing issues where a branded cc offer does not popup automatically. Notification Schedule In an effort to reach all users to the application there are several notifications made: During the week before the update: The RediStay Launch Portal notification is updated advising of the date and time of the release. notification is made to all inns, RVPs, FODs, corporate office and Springfield contact center. The Day before the Release: An notification is made reminding all inns, RVPs FODs, corporate office and Springfield contact center of the release date, time and information about where to find details about the update. The RediStay Launch Portal notification is updated advising the release is the next day. A Fax notification is sent to the Night Auditor advising of the upcoming update. The Day of the Release: An notification is made advising all inns, RVPs, FODs, corporate office and Springfield contact center that the update is complete.

5 4 The RediStay Launch Portal is updated advising that the update is complete. The Week of the Release If there are any issue investigation/resolution for issues tied to the version, updates will be placed on the RediStay Launch Portal.
