ADP Vantage HCM: Manage Time-Off Requests for Employees

1 Introduction When employees request time off, you will be required to approve, reject, retract, or edit those requests. You can also submit a time-off request on behalf of an employee. To submit a time-off request for an employee, in the Request Manager widget, click Request Time Off. Starting Point: Daily Tasks > Request Manager In the window, select an employee. The employee s time-off request appears in list. Select an employee and use the fields and buttons to manage the employee s time-off request. Copyright 2015 ADP, LLC. Page 1 of 7

Defines the HyperFind query to filter the list of employees. Defines the request type as time-off. Defines the status of the request as submitted, pending, or approved. Refreshes the data and displays changes. Opens the Time-Off Request Details window. Opens the Edit Time-Off Request window. Opens the Approve Time-Off Request window that includes details about the time-off request, the Comments field, and the Notes field. Opens the Refuse Time-Off Request window that includes details about the time-off request, the Comments field, and the Notes field. Opens the Retract Time-Off Request window that includes details about the time-off request, the Comments field, and the Notes field. Opens the Request Time-Off window that includes details about the timeoff request, the Comments field, and the Notes field. As part of the Daily Tasks wizard, perform the following steps to manage employee requests. Starting Point: My Team > Time & Attendance > Daily Tasks Step Action 1 Access the Manage Requests step. 2 Select the date range you want to review. This can be the current schedule period, the next schedule period, or a customized range of dates. 3 From the request type list, select Time-Off. Copyright 2015 ADP, LLC. Page 2 of 7

5 Step Action 7 To approve a time-off request, click Approve. The Approve Time-Off Request window is displayed. If applicable, in the Approve Time-Off Request window, in the Comment field, select a comment. In the Notes field, enter notes. Then, click Approve. 6 Note: If the employee needs to retract a request after you have approved it, you need to manage that for the employee. You can select the request and retract it on behalf of the employee, but that does not automatically remove the changes that were made to the schedule. You must edit the schedule as needed to remove or replace the pay code with a shift if the employee will be working. Note: When you act upon an employee request, the employee will receive a notification, which will appear in the inbox (Starting Point: Myself > Time & Attendance > Inbox). The inbox will take you to your mailbox, which contains two tabs: Tasks and Messages. Under the Tasks tab you will see anything that is pending your action such as an approval of something.
