1 Client Scoring Application The new scoring application is a web-based system developed by Triple P to assist in the scoring of the many measures used in the delivery of Triple P. There are many advantages of this system. The scoring application is designed to be user friendly and to protect the client s privacy by not asking for information that would enable a client to be identified. Practitioners will also be able to update their details and print reports on individual clients. Organisations will be able to apply to have their organisation created within the application so as to be able to print reports that demonstrate deidentified information about the types of clients accessing Triple P programs and the successes of the programs undertaken with families. Although this Application has been designed with usability in mind it is understood that using a system for the first time can be difficult. This document has been put together as a simple walkthrough to assist those using the program for the first time. Step one. Navigate to the provider network and logon using your address and password. If you do not already have an account please create one following the instructions on the front page. (You will be given your password during your Triple P training program, or will have been provided one when you received your accreditation certificate) Once you have been authenticated, click on the Client Scoring Application menu item shown in the above image.

2 Step two. Logon to the scoring Application using the same address and password you used to logon to the Provider network. Step three.

3 To add or manage information about a client (e.g. change the details you have entered or update their questionnaires) click on the Add and manage child IDs link, you may achieve the same result by clicking on one of the organisations listed under this link. (What is an organisation?) Step Four Click on the green cross to add a new Child (or client). This screen also allows you to edit and delete existing clients (child Ids) and to print a report showing the results of Pre, Post and Follow up Questionnaires. Step Five.

4 Take care to select the correct organisation This is where you get to add details about the child you are seeing. It is important to select a response for as many fields as you can as this will make reports or exports more meaningful by including more information about the clients that you see. (If you are an agency that needs to collate information about the cultural background, socio economic details and specific information about the types of disorders or disabilities you work with, filling out this information will make your reports more complete and may assist you in future planning). It is important to remember entering data in these fields has being designed to protect the child and the family s privacy and any data that would identify the child such as free text responses cannot be entered. Click the save button to continue.

5 Step Six. Child ID Click here to the next step Once the data has been successfully saved, you will be presented with the screen above showing the child s ID number. It is important that you add this to your client records immediately as this is the only way to match the child ID with your client for future reference. Then choose Edit Child to go to the next step. Step Seven

6 Scroll towards the bottom of the view Client page and click on the Add family Member Link. You must add a family member in order to access the surveys. (Remember that while the child is listed as your client, you are actually primarily working with other family members typically their parents and you need to add a family member to score surveys.) You may also edit and delete existing family members in this screen. Step Eight.

7 Take care to choose the correct Level as this determines which surveys will be available. This is where you get to add details about the family member (e.g. Parent) you are seeing. It is once again important to enter a response for as many fields as you can to ensure any reports or exports include comprehensive details about the types of client being assisted by your parenting programs. When filling this out, it is important that you choose the correct Level (e.g. Group or Primary Care) as this ensures you have the appropriate surveys for the program you are using with the parent. (You can change this level if you begin a different level with the client.) Once completed click on the save button at the bottom of the page.

8 Step Nine Double Click here to start entering data. Now that you have entered a Family Member you can enter data to Show surveys and score the questionnaires (such as the Parenting Scale and the DASS). Once again scroll to near the bottom of the view client page and you will see the Family member you just entered Listed with the option to Edit, Delete and Show Surveys listed beside it. Double Click on Show surveys to start entering data for the questionnaires. Step Nine.

9 Click the Pre (before the intervention), Post (immediately after the intervention) or Follow up (1 6 months after the last session with the parent) links beside the Survey you wish to add data. Data may be added with the mouse or by using the tab and arrow keys.

10 Click the Save button to Finish. You may now close this window by clicking on the x in the corner of the window. Step Ten Click here to edit answers Click here for score

11 You will now see the survey listed as completed. Clicking on the completed link to the right of the survey name will allow you to edit the answers, while clicking on the name of the survey under Completed surveys will display a short summary of the score, as shown below. While printing the report for the client will give you the clinical categories, remember you will also find this information in your manual or participant notes from the Triple P training course. Step Eleven When you have entered all of the data for the parents and child, you might want to print a report of the scores for your feedback session. To view and print a full report of all questionnaires including cut off scores for the clinical categories, click on the Back to Child ID List Link

12 Click to run report Choose the Child ID you wish to report on and click on the report icon.

13 A Printable version of this may be viewed by clicking on the Print Version icon What is an organisation? An Organisation is logical way of grouping clients. By default, each practitioner or provider is assigned to their own private organisation. This organisation s name will be your name and is only accessible by you. Note: Data entered into an organisation can only be accessed by the member of that organisation; thus, any Child ID entered under your organisation can only be accessed by you.

14 A request may be made to Triple P though your organisation s coordinator to have a Multi provider Organisation created which would allow Child IDs to be transferred between members of this organisation and for the export of combined data for statistical proposes.
