2 1 Documentation and Audiovisual B 6 Study and analysis of documentation systems used in the communications media. Special emphasis is given to the possibilities of Internet searching. Introduction to the information resources necessary to get to know the University and the bachelor's degree in Audiovisual. Visual Forms Analysis Op 4 A historical and analytical look at the systems of representation, from the Renaissance until the planet video. Study of the periods and variety of influences of the image and of the ways to construct audiovisual stories. Documentary Theory and Analysis Op 4 Analysis of the language, of the structure of the messages and of the inherent communicational functions of documentary spaces in the cinema, television and radio. Sound Track Op 4 Analysis of the different components of the sound track of an audiovisual work and of its expressive use. Historical development.
14 Theories of Itinerary Mass Culture Theory Op 4 Study of the different theories that have dealt with mass culture and the central role of audiovisual communication in the mass society. Transformations of the mass society and culture today. Intercultural Op 4 Analysis of the phenomenon of interculturality from the aspect of communication. Definition and characteristics of intercultural communication. Study of interculturality in fictional audiovisual stories. Explanation of the changes that interculturality brings about in the new context of globalisation. Audience Research Op 4 Study of the methods and techniques to evaluate the social use and the impact of audiovisual media and services. Programming Policies Op 4 Study of the techniques and strategies of making a television programme. Professional Deontology Op 4 Study of the areas of responsibility in audiovisual communication and of the deontological codes of the audiovisual professions. Audiovisual and Education Op 4 Study and experimentation of audiovisual languages and resources for education, and training in the use of audiovisuals.
15 Outside the itinerary Film Classroom Op 4 Viewing and analysis of classic and modern films in order to consolidate and broaden students' knowledge of the history of the cinema. Languages: Oral and Written Expression Op 4 Theoretical-practical introduction to the expressive uses of Spanish and Catalan. Students must follow one itinerary. Each itinerary consists of a minimum of 20. The remaining optional - up to a total of 40 - may be taken by students choosing a variety of s from the other itineraries, from within their own itinerary or from another. * Each student must choose just one of the five compulsory end-of-degree project models on offer. Each end-of-degree project model includes compulsory attendance at a workshop-seminar given during the fourth year by a lecturer-tutor, at which the projects will be discussed, the tools and methods to improve them will be offered and a systematic follow-up of their progress is conducted.
