1 Technical Documentation Connection of upload reader to a ComServer Moxa/WLAN Hardware: - Power supply plug 12VDC 0.5A - WLAN antenna - Port RS-232/RS-422/RS The connection of a RS485 bus to the ComServer requires the supply of a 9 pin socket. 2 Allocate IP address: Important: This way of assigning an IP address is only successful if the device has been set to the default IP address If the set IP address is unknown, the NPort Search Utility tool (see supplied CD) can be used to ascertain the corresponding device. telnet MOXA login: admin Password: moxa However, this interface is difficult to handle and hence it isn t described here. Only this interface can trigger a reset.

3 WEB Interface: The ComServer can be parametrised by means of the WEB Interface. In order to communicate with the WEB Interface and the ComServer, the following settings on the PC are required. Extras Internetoptionen Verbindungen LAN-Einstellungen Erweitert Enter the IP address or the IP range of the ComServer into the field The ComServer provides many setting options that are described in detail in the manual. Below you will only find setting descriptions regarding the upload reader. Important: Only one interface can be active at a time, Ethernet OR WLAN. If after switch-on the Ethernet cable is connected, the Ethernet interface is active and the WLAN interface is inactive. The WEB surface is started by entering the IP address into the browser.

4 With the account admin it is possible to read and write. The account user only enables reading. moxa By clicking on the Login button you can get to the menu surface. All modifications of the WEB surface are saved by pressing the button Submit on the ComServer.

6 Netwok Settings WLAN Settings Profile In order to log on to an AccessPoint, the WLAN is operated in the Infrastructure mode. By pushing the General button you can enter the network name (SSID).

7 By pushing the Security button you can enter the security features.

8 Serial Port Settings Operation Modes Real COM These settings are required for the TCP/IP communication. Serial Port Settings Communication Parameters These settings are used for serial communication with the BSTA. After setting the WLAN parameters it is necessary to make a reset of the ComServer. To this effect the ComServer is separated from the power supply unit and the network cable is disconnected.
