N-1 or 1- N Remote Copy Configuration with below mentioned condition: In an N-1 or 1-N Remote Copy topology, 3PAR allows only one of the pairs to be bi-directional, rest of the pairs will be unidirectional. 3Par recommends not to use the uni-directional pairs for Disaster Recovery. So, one can configure Metrocluster or Continentalclusters only between the arrays that are in a bidirectional configuration within a N1 or 1- N Remote Copy setup 16. Support for Smart Quorum with Serviceguard A patch PHSS_44549 and Serviceguard Quorum Server A patch PHSS_ Support for configuration of asymmetric node count across sites using Smart Quorum in all Metrocluster deployments (including SADTA, CFS and SGeRAC). 6 HP Metrocluster 3PAR package will have impact if the HP 3PAR storage system is upgraded to any of the following 3PAR OS versions: MU5 Patch35 or later MU3 Patch27 or later MU3 Patch16 or later Upon completion of upgrade, it is recommended to get the certificate file or certificate exception file saved in the default location. HP Metrocluster for 3PAR supports only the default location of the certificate or certificate exception file. It is recommended to follow respective HP 3PAR OS software upgrade instructions guide to upgrade your storage system and CLI upgrade The following 3PAR features are not supported with Metrocluster with 3PARRemote Copy A.01.00: 1. Support for Synchronous Long Distance configuration 2. Support for Unidirectional Remote Copy configuration 3. 3PARRemote Copy volume groups configured with fail_wrt_on_err policy. The following HP Serviceguard features are not supported for Metrocluster with 3PARRemote Copy A.01.00: 1. Easy Deployment of Metrocluster Packages using Serviceguard Manager 2. cmdrprev command 3. Legacy packages 4. 3

The table will be updated when new versions are certified 2 Note: Support life for specific storage models (and associated microcode/software) may end sooner and will take precedence. Note: Metrocluster supports mixed clusters, where the cluster nodes can be HP 9000 and HP Integrity servers. The same restrictions/guidelines as Serviceguard will apply. Refer to the White Paper Configuration Rules for a Mixed HP 9000 / Integrity Serviceguard Cluster at -> Serviceguard 3 Note: 3PAR arrays allow a maximum of 16 to 64 SSH connections or 64 to 256 CLI connections based on array model and InformOS version. Prior to patch PHSS_43444 Metrocluster uses SSH for array communication and CLI from then on. Each Metrocluster package needs at least one SSH/CLI session. Please refer to your 3PAR array documentation for maximum supported CLI or SSH sessions. Ensure that sufficient SSH/CLI sessions will be available for Metrocluster packages during failover. Refer to the sections Managing CLI Connections to 3PAR array and Managing SSH Connections to 3PAR array in the manual for more information 4 Refer to 3PAR documentation to get information on supported versions of HP 3PAR Inform OS CLI on respective Operating Systems. 5 VM/vPar as a Serviceguard Package: It is not recommended to replicate Guest s/vpar s boot disk across sites as the boot disk on recovery site will have different WWID. So, it is recommended to have a separate boot disk image at each site with same Guest name. Any changes to the root disk must be manually synchronized between sites. 6 Note: HP Metrocluster 3PAR package will have impact if the HP 3PAR storage system is upgraded to any of the following 3PAR OS versions MU5 Patch MU3 Patch MU3 Patch16 Please refer the respective release notes for more details. 7 3PAR Inform OS version and only available on HP-UX 11i v3 and require HP-UX 11i v3 patch PHSS_ Asynchronous streaming remote copy mode not supported 9 Note: When using 3PAR Inform CLI Version 3.1.2, there may be a considerable increase in the failover times of the Metrocluster packages. This is owing to a known faulty behavior during client connections with 3PAR OS Inform CLI version This issue has been fixed in 3PAR OS Inform CLI version Customer are advised to move to 3PAR OS Inform CLI version To check if CVM/CFS and VxVM are supported with Serviceguard Metrocluster A for a given combination of array and Serviceguard versions refer to the HP Serviceguard Solutions Storage Support Matrix (HP-UX) in Also ensure that a given 3PAR Inform OS CLI version has support for both CVM/CFS and the Metrocluster solution (listed in above table).
