3 / LIVE ENCODER SETUP Introduction Anvato equipment is designed for remote setup & maintenance, therefore the amount of manual setup is limited to connecting the equipment to the audio/video signal and to the Internet and opening the correct network ports. The rest of the setup is done remotely. Once the servers have arrived at your facility, please follow these steps: 1. Install the servers on the racks, connect power and network cables. 2. Configure your local network and assign an IP address. 3. Connect audio/video signal to HD-SDI port and run a self-check. 4. Inform Anvato that the server is available for final setup. Questions and issues can be sent to support@anvato.com. 1. Install the Server Please install the servers on their racks in your data center, then connect the power. Space Requirements Depending on the server you install, it will take 1U or 2U of rack space. You will use: Dell ReadyRails II sliding rails for tool-less mounting in 4-post racks with square or unthreaded round holes or tooled mounting in 4-post threaded hole racks. ReadyRails static rails for tool-less mounting in 4-post racks with square or unthreaded round holes or tooled mounting in 4-post threaded and 2-post (Telco) racks. Power Requirements Please connect two redundant power sources that can sustain peak 1100W power. Network Bandwidth Requirements The outgoing bandwidth requirements can vary based on the specific video streams that are required for broadcast, but as a general guideline you need 3 Mbps of uplink bandwidth.

4 2. Connect HD-SDI Audio/Video Signal Connect an SMPTE-292M HD-SDI signal according to the diagram using a BCN connector. Audio/Video SMPTE-292M video & embedded uncompressed PCM audio up to 8 channels are supported. Closed Captions Captions should be sent in the VANC space in CEA-708 format packaged according to SMPTE 334m. DID/SDID should be 61h/1h. Ignore Ignore HD-SDI Signal Input Ignore 3. Configure the Network There are two types of server configurations: 1U servers have 2 Ethernet ports. Both port 1 and 2 will be used. 2U servers have 4 Ethernet ports. Only ports 1 and 2 will be used. Ignore ports 3 & 4 which are reserved for custom configuration. 1U SERVER Ethernet Ports 1 & 2 2U SERVER Ethernet Ports 1, 2, 3 & 4 Ethernet Port 1 Configure the Ethernet Port 1 according to the table on the top of the next page.

5 Traffic Type Open TCP Ports Inbound Traffic: 22, Outbound Traffic: 80 for HTTP, 443 for HTTPS, 554 for RTSP, 1935 for RTMP, and 8080 Alternative Usage As additional security, you may introduce IP blocking for inbound traffic. In this case, please contact Anvato to learn which IP addresses you need to whitelist. Ethernet Port 2 Used for broadcast automation connection. You will most likely need a CAT 6 crossover cable to connect this port to broadcast automation equipment. This is a custom setup, therefore please wait for instructions from Anvato. Server Setup Upon server boot up, the server configuration software will automatically start and present itself with a menu driven interface. Your goal is to assign the server a Public IP Address and run a self test. This step should take less than 10 minutes including the server boot up time. In console, please select Setup Network. Then enter the necessary network information in the dialog, including the IP address. Make sure to assign a Public IP Address: You can now run a self test to verify that the network and video signal work as expected. 4. Contact Anvato After the self test, contact support@anvato.com and Anvato personnel will complete the remaining configuration steps. You are minutes away from live sreaming your content.

6 / APPENDIX Anvato servers can receive cue messages to automatically remove linear commercials and replace them with targeted commercials both on the server side or client (player) side. Anvato has multiple options to receive such messages from broadcast automation systems. This document explains the broadcast room integration options. Anvato must receive the beginning, and either the end point or the duration of the ad pod to automatically remove TV commercials and replace them with targeted commercials. Cue data can be provided to Anvato Servers in many ways. Here are some options: 1. SCTE 104 Messages inside a video HD-SDI Stream in VANC. HD-SDI decoder has a built-in SCTE 104 decoder which processes the multi part messages. These messages can carry the cue information in various forms such as slice begin/end, DTMF codes, Self Test, etc. 2. GPI (Contact Closure/On-off switch). In some cases broadcast equipment readily provides GPI output. In this case, a converter box to convert the GPI triggers to IP Commands is required. Anvato partners with JL Cooper Electronics that provides a suitable box (JL Cooper GBox) that has been tested with Anvato setup. 3. Serial Port Commands fed to the encoder through an RS232 Serial Port. For example, this setup is utilized frequently with Harris Translator. 4. IP Data Stream. Anvato provides a socket listener that can receive commands via TCP/ IP socket. 5. Audio Cue Tones which may be audible in an unused channel or inaudible inside main audio stream: a. Audible DTMF: From an 8 channel audio feed, provide a channel which contains the DTMF tones. The DTMF channel is decoded for audible DTMF tones and then discarded. Tones can be configured and mapped to actions. b. Inaudible tones in the (25/35Hz) range can be detected and mapped to cue actions.

7 Integrate with SCTE#104 Sources For customers who wish to integrate via SCTE Cue Messages, SCTE 104 messages should be sent in the VANC space according to SMPTE DID/SDID should be 41h/7h per standard. SCTE104 messages should be multiple_operation_message with opid = 0x0101 (splice_request_data). The message should fit in a single frame. The following fields should be supported: Field splice_insert_type break_duration pre_roll_time splice_event_id unique_program_id avail_num avails_expected auto_return_flag Description Cue begin should come with splicestart_normal or splicestart_immediate and cues should end with return with spliceend_normal or spliceend_immediate Can be zero, in which case the encoder will expect a spliceend command Can be zero After you ensure that your HD-SDI has the correct SCTE messages, please contact us. SCTE Cue tone reception test is done remotely by Anvato team. Integrate With GPI Triggers To integrate via GPI triggers, you need a GPI to IP converter box. Anvato partners and resells JL Cooper Electronics gbox that serves this purpose.

8 The gbox is a general purpose interface box that converts up to 48 GPI inputs and outputs to 100/10baseT Ethernet Interface. gbox pinouts are as follows: Pin Function 1 Ground 2 GPI (1) 3 GPI (2) N GPI (N-1) Connecting gbox 1. Connect gbox to Anvato Encoders via a crossover cable 2. Connect Broadcast Equipment to gbox via GPI cable Configuring JL Cooper gbox JL Cooper gbox is configured via the DIP switches on the back panel. Currently, there are two switch banks with 6 switches on each. The bank on the right is unused. All of them must be in off position (bottom). The switch banks should be configured as follows: This puts the box in server mode and disables passwords. Configuring Broadcast Equipment GPI Output Many GPI setup options are available from Anvato. However, the simplest setup is as follows: Program your broadcast equipment to provide contact closure GPI 1 (closing contact between Pin 1 and Pin 2) as soon as an ad-break starts and break the contact as soon as the ad break ends.
