5 X-Analysis 9.8 Data Flow Diagram Improved Data Flow Diagram - Bus Routing Block Diagram. Hierarchal Structure Chart A new diagramming feature Hierarchical Structure Chart is introduced. It offers a precise view of all the programs representing their control flow and call structure through neat, colour-coded bus routing block diagram. Copyright Databorough Ltd Page 2

6 Screen Activity Diagram A new diagramming feature Screen Activity Diagram is introduced. It offers a precise view of screen(s) activity through colour-coded bus routing block diagram. XA-Open (aka XAO) The link repository settings (DB2 details) are now saved to an AS/400 table instead of the X-Analysis Preferences page. Hence, the 'Repository Location' Preferences page is removed. The 'Ignore linked repositories' option is moved to the General Preferences page of X-Analysis. XA-Open can now be executed directly from within the X-Analysis session. It can be invoked using a new option called run XA-Open. The new option is available under the sub-menu Inter-Repository Options on the context menu over cross-reference library. 7 X-Analysis 9.7 XA-Open (aka XAO) Incorporated Zoom Source feature on *FILE type object for a COBOL application. Enhanced DB2 connection mechanism for Windows 7. Introduced 'Save source as database records' option for COBOL application. If selected, the COBOL source is saved in DB2 repository in the same format as that on iseries. All COBOL programs will go into QCBLSRC, Files to QDDSSRC and Copybooks to QCPYSRC. Included 'XA-Open' in Windows firewall exception list to allow DB2 XAO repository access to the users on LAN. Added X-Analysis Reference menu with X-Analysis features like DFD, OWU, UML, etc. on context menu on Java files in Program Explorer/Navigator views of Eclipse. The feature shall work if the application containing these Java files has been initialized using XAO. Enabled 'Add To Application Area with Related Objects' option for XAO repository. Introduced Change History feature for XA-Open cross reference initialized with non-svn source. Improved database creation logic so that initialization can be run with the DB2 instance owner details irrespective of logged-in user. X-Sanitize X-Cloak renamed as X-Sanitize. Source Browser Migrated Logic renamed to Business Process Logic. System Document The document header is set to have same value as the document title. A new page 'Document Source' inserted after Legends to show which X-Ref/App area was used for the document. It also notes the generation timestamp. The system document wizard is modified to add 'Select by Type' button to select all objects of selected type, while documenting app area or entire application. A new option is added for Field Annotation alongside the File Field Details in System Document Wizard. This allows user to select whether field annotations are to be included in document. Making the annotations optional generates the document faster. Function Editor Added 'Page Designer' option on Function Editor toolbar. This generates HTML and the related CSS in application folder. The files are opened in Eclipse to review. The user can opt to open these in Dreamweaver by setting the X-Redo Page Designer preference. X-Redo X-Redo Preferences now has 'Page Designer. User can select either Eclipse or Dreamweaver. Provided an option to Generate WAR/EAR in the X-Redo preferences. If the option is checked, the option to Generate WAR/EAR is shown in the context menu. 8 Miscellaneous Support added for X-Analysis to run on iseries with Code page 1026(Turkey). Support for Spanish characters. The user will have to select 'Spanish' on Database Language Translation preference on X-Analysis > Advanced preferences page. Legend added to Application Area Diagram. Added 'Source Scan' node on the Cross-reference and Application Area level. This scans sources as per specified filter and lists the occurrences of searched string in a view. Double click on the record in the view opens the source. French phrases updated for X-Analysis French UI. 'Generate Application' renamed to become 'Generate Programs. Generate Data Application' option added to build application using functions generated on database files. Changes made to allow a new prompt in 'Work with Programs' for Program Type. The user can separately list Programs with screens/batch programs/grid and non-grid Screen programs. Added Consolidated Rules (Program) sub-node under Cross-reference and Application area nodes. 9 X-Analysis 9.6 Work with Objects Dialog Made changes to modify the Work with Objects dialog to provide the option for showing only Screen Programs i.e. Interactive programs. This can be done by selecting Screen Programs check box when *PGM is selected as type. X-DataTest Recorder 'Define Interactive Test Process' and 'Run Interactive Test Process' are enabled only when the X-DataTest module is installed. Copyright Databorough Ltd Page 6

10 Source Compare Changes made to Source Compare option to allow user to also compare among various archived versions of member. XA-Open Source is now saved in the DB2 cross-reference instead of copying it in a shared folder. This results in simplifying resource sharing over LAN. Instead of specifying UNC path of other system, user needs to specify the machine name in Repository Location preference page while working with linked repository. Problem Analysis Changes were made to Problem Analysis window to display the Object s source creation date in place of Object s creation date. The time is also shown now for Object/Source dates. X-Analysis Preferences X-Analysis Preferences dialog is modified to show "Case-sensitive or greater than 10 character Password" in place of Case-sensitive Password". X-Analysis Preference is modified to provide the option for selecting the default paper size. Changes made to add a new Preference setting for PSC depth. Range of 1-20 can be selected. 16 Inverted Structure Chart Diagram Made enhancement to provide the new option for an Inverted SCD on a program object. Inverted SCD is a diagrammatic representation of how a program is being called by other programs. It shows the complete hierarchy of direct and indirect calling programs. Database Language Translation Database Language Translation is now enabled for English locale machines. Source Browser Source Browser to depict the Screen Read operations (EXFMT and READC) in bright purple. These lines shall be visible even at level 0 - Comments only. 17 Indentation now works for the DBCS applications. Indentation now works on the 64 bit Eclipse. Job Log Changes made to avoid the message box while submitting a job to server. The job log view opens directly, with the first line showing the job details of the last job fired. 18 Process logic now has new Level mechanism. Level 1 (default) shows all included code. Other levels show the 4 levels of exclusion (level1 exclusion with brightest color and 4 least bright). The right-hand side on the side-by-side view defaults to level 5 and does not change with levels on the left-hand side. 19 Japanese Support Japanese (Katakana) character set is now supported. Consolidated Rules Consolidated Rules display the Mnemonic names for File and Field followed by description in brackets. Consolidated Rules show Lansa enabled rules only by default. User can then select the toggle button on the toolbar to view all the rules. 27 Object List displaying *INTRTN objects Business Process Logic Metrics The Business Process Logic Metrics report displays business process logic data in metrics form - total lines, included lines, excluded lines, unmarked lines, etc. Window displaying Business Process Logic Metrics XA-Open Summary Metrics functionality now also works on applications based on any supported PC language, initialized using XA-Open. A new system tray icon for XA-Open is added. Implemented parsing of JSP/JSF(.xhtml) and XML in JAVA source. Handling of NamedQuery & NamedNativeQuery in JAVA annotation parsing. Application initialized using XA-Open now also support Application Areas. User can create Application areas, add/omit objects to them, and generate Application Area Diagram. 51 X-Analysis 9.1 Metrics Analysis Two additional columns are displayed to the Metrics Analysis screen. These two columns are Cyclomatic Complexity and Halstead. The Cyclomatic Complexity displays the total number of conditional statements used and the Halstead shows the total number of variables used. Specialized Analysis Specialized Analysis is a new refined form of Metrics Analysis which provides details related to source member in customized way. It displays business rules embedded in the source browser. A business rule summary, is also invoked which lists all the business rules available for the object. The option is available at cross-reference level, at application area level and also at individual level.
