Provide two classes named Square and Triangle such that each one of the classes extends the class Shape. 2. Create a Vehicle class that is an abstract class defining the general details and actions associated with a vehicle. Create Car, Truck, and Minivan classes that inherit the Vehicle class. The Car, Truck, and Minivan classes should include additional member specific to the type of vehicle being represented 3. Write a Java program that creates three threads. First thread displays Good Morning every one second, the second thread displays Hello every two seconds and the third thread displays Welcome every three seconds.(use both Runnable interface and Thread class). 4. Write a Java program that creates stack application as per user choice like push, pop, and show. 1) There is Input text box which take input number from user and push into stack if user press Push button. 2) If user press Pop button then top element is display in Output text box. 3) If user press Show button then all stack element is displayed in output text box 5. Write a Java program that creates sample calculator using Gridbaglayout and gridbagcontraint. 6. Write a Java program that demonstrate Jtable (use Gridbaglayout and gridbagconstraint). 7. Program to scroll the banner using applet 8. Write a program for Exception Handling Divide by zero error Null values 9. Design Database program for Employee database and implement INSERT, SELECT, DELETE, and UPDATE queries.

2 10. Develop a simple client-server application using RMI. 11. Write a Program to store user profile in database using Swing and JDBC. 12. Write a program to store and retrieve Student s information in database 13. The client program presents a simple user interface and prompts for text Input. When you click the button, the text is sent to server program. The client Program expects an echo from the server and prints the echo it receives in Another text field. 14. Create package A, B and C which contains classes X and Y resp. having Functions show & display resp. Import these packages in another package Named D with class Z having main function. 15. Create a Jtable to store information of resumes. Write GUI based java Programs for i) Insert new records in table. ii) To view record of given person 16. Create your own Exception My Exception and throw it when entered String is palindrome. 17. Create a University_Employee class that contains member variables for the employee name and salary. The University_Employee class should contain member methods for returning the employee name and salary. Create Faculty and Staff classes that inherit the University_Employee class. The Faculty class should include members for storing and returning the department name. The Staff class should include members for storing and returning the job title. (Show constructor chain). 18. Create a file writing application that reads file name and number of student from user. User enter student name and score for storing into file. If User enters score below zero then handle your own exception. If student s score is not a number then handle proper exception. All data must be write into file.

3 19. Write a Java program that implements a simple client/server Application for two way communication. 20. Create a WordCount application that displays the number of words, Number of lines and number of character in a text file named source.txt. And also write that result in result.txt. 21. Write a Java Applet program that works as a simple calculator. Add a text field to display the result. 22. Write a Java Applet program that works as a drawing objects (line, square). If user clicks on Line button then draw line. If user click on square button then draw a square. 23. Develop an applet that receives an integer in one text field, and computes its factorial Value and returns it in another text field, when the button named Compute is clicked. Handle exception if user not enters number. 24. Write a Java Applet program for Traffic light. The program lets the User selects one of three lights: red, yellow, or green. When user pressed particular button then that light is on and message is displayed in text box. No light is on when the program starts. 27. Write a program to maintain the Office Database using single inheritance. Superclass is Employee that contain the information as follows - Emp_id, Emp_name, Address, Ph_no, Da-10%, Hra-20%. Create three subclass of Manager, Officer & typist, each class having their own basic pay. Da and Hra are same for all three classes. 28. Write a program to maintain Student Grading Database using multilevel inheritance. Student is Super class, which contains roll no, name, address. Marks derived from Student class, which contains subject names and respective marks. Result is derived from Marks class, which contains total, grade.

4 29.Create a class baseclass having data member Num as number and functions getnum() and displaynum(). Write class derivedclass derived from baseclass with the data member Num and functions getnum() and displaynum(). 30. Create a Mymath package that will have following features. a. Trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant and cotangent) that accepts input in degrees instead of radians. b. Performs Statistical operations like min, max, count, sum and average. c. Performs Exponential operations on numbers like calculating log and power. 31. Create a class SString having data member one String. Write methods to perform string operations i.e. calculate length of string, compare string, copy string, concatenation of strings, convert to lowercase, and convert to uppercase 32.Create a class having an array of integers of size 10 as a data member. Write method to input array, if user input anything other than integer generate and handle IOException, if user input more than 10 values generate and handle ArrayIndexOutofBound exception. Divide all elements in this array using one number entered by user. If number entered by user is 0, generate and handle DivideByZero ecxception. 33.Write a class having two integer data members. Provide facility to add, subtract, multiply and divide these numbers. If addition goes above 1000, it generates TooLongAddition exception. If subtraction is below 0, it generates Negative Answer exception. If multiplication is above 5000,it generates TooLongMultiplication exception. 34. Write a program to take an inventory data from the user, write it into file, Read data from file & display it on console.
