4 What's New in GRAITEC Advance PowerPack 2019 News 1: Compliancy with Revit 2018 and Revit 2019 The 2019 version of GRAITEC PowerPack for Revit is compatible with both 2018 and 2019 versions of Autodesk Revit. This also includes the BIM Connect plug-in, which can be installed separately from the PowerPack. All commands are available and fully functional on both versions of Revit, as is the content provided at installation. This version of PowerPack adds the possibility to install only certain elements, such as Family Manager, Link to excel and Watermark Manager. 2: New Section Box Starting with the 2019 version of GRAITEC PowerPack for Revit, a brand-new Section Box tool is available under 3D Views tab, allowing users to swiftly manage the section box extends in real-time, with a simple mouse scrolling. Fig 1.1 New Section Box tool In 3D view, users can activate Section Box tool simply by clicking on it under 3D Views tab. Once activated, user can choose the desired plane to cut through i.e X,Y,Z, by clicking on drop down icon (Z plane is on by default). 5 What's New in GRAITEC Advance PowerPack 2019 Users can define the cutting step for the section box, by determining the value in Cutting Step box. By default, it uses project units, but symbol units are recognized by the command (m, cm, mm etc.) as well. Fig 1.4 Modify Cut Step In addition to that, the new section box tool gives user flexibility to Reverse Plane with a single click, cutting the section in inverse direction. Fig 1.5 Reverse Plane With Section Box tool, modelling becomes easier and efficient, giving users more flexibility and control over the model in real-time. 5

6 3: Link to Excel Link to Excel tool from 2019 version gives users more control over data management, from Excel spreadsheets to Revit and vice-versa. While importing an Excel file back to Revit, make sure Show Preview before importing back to Revit is checked under Syncronisation tab. After clicking the Import button, the Import Preview dialog box opens with various options regarding changed data and actions to be taken (i.e if user wants to keep changes made in Excel or keep Revit data). In addition to this, it allows users to modify values in Revit, Excel or both, as required. Fig 2.1 Link to Excel import preview Excel Filters The new version of Link to Excel tool allows users to choose visibility filters in Excel, giving the possibility to filter elements by their corresponding parameter values, henceforth, giving an opportunity to manage the Excel sheets quite easily. 7 What's New in GRAITEC Advance PowerPack : Element Lookup Element Lookup command has now an additional functionality: it lets users Save the set of search results as a Selection Set, which later can be used to define visibility filters. Users can now look for an element using filter rules (=,!=, <, <=, >, >=) and save the Selection Set as shown below. Fig 3.1 Element Lookup save option Now, the Selection Filters appear in Add Filters tab under Visbility Graphics, with the same filter rules that have been defined above. Desired patterns and lines can be added to filtered elements. Fig 3.2 Element Lookup creating filter 7

8 5: Family Manager New updates in Family Manager allow users to save and load the desired Family Configurations as XML files. While adding a new folder, users have the possibility to Remove the backup files from the folder and load just relevant files. The much requested Rename Option for folders is also added in this version. Fig 4.1 Family manager new options Family Manager dropdown menu has two updated options: Remove Backup files and File Updater.

9 What's New in GRAITEC Advance PowerPack 2019 Remove Backup Files allows users to delete backup files created by Revit from a selected folder. 10 6: Model Lines A new improvement allows users to choose the desired Line style as shown below: Fig 5.1 Model Line line Style Now the users can easily define the default line style for the command, which can be filtered and controlled in the Visibility/Graphic dialog.

11 What's New in GRAITEC Advance PowerPack 2019 Notes 1: Add Parameters Additional parameters like Beam Elevation and others have been integrated in Revit, under Properties. Hence, these parameters are now hidden by default in PowerPack for Revit, starting with 2019 version. Therefore, in Add parameters dropdown list there are now five parameters by default. To activate more shared parameters, click under PowerPack Customization in Power Pack for Revit dropdown, click under Ribbon Customization tab and check the needed parameters in the Add Parameters dropdown list.
