1 CHAPTER 1 Windows XP More Skills 12 Move Data Between Windows You can open several application windows at the same time; they do not need to be files created by the same program. Having more than one window open on a screen at the same time enables you to move information between the windows, even between different applications. To complete this activity, you will need the following files: x01_job_fair (Word file) x01_statistics (Excel file) You will save your document as: x01_job_fair_your_name 1. Turn on your computer and follow the logon instructions. If you are saving your work on a USB flash drive, be sure that it is inserted into your computer. Follow the website instructions to download the x01_job_fair and x01_statistics files from the website to your USB flash drive folder. 2. On the desktop, double-click the My Computer icon. In the toolbar, click the Folders button. In the Folders pane, navigate to the files for this activity. Locate and double-click the x01_job_fair file to open the Microsoft Word document. 3. In the taskbar, click the My Computer button. Locate and double-click the x01_statistics file to open the spreadsheet.
