1 Tap on the BoardEffect icon to open the App: Tap the green Get Started button in the lower right corner to begin. To skip this welcome screen in the future, click the button in the bottom left corner. In the left panel, touch Tap to select a platform to display the Accounts menu. Platform accounts linked with your device will appear in the Accounts menu. To add a platform, tap + in the right corner of the Accounts menu. To delete a platform, tap Edit. Tap to select your platform and enter your password if required, displaying the MyBoardEffect landing page. MyBoardEffect is your customized dashboard with important information and upcoming events. Tap on the links from the MyBoardEffect page to View Meeting Book or RSVP to an event in one click. You can also open the Menu to access additional content from other boards or committees, or to view Files or your Directory.

2 Your platform Administrator will notify you that your Meeting Book is available for you to review. Open your App and scroll down so you can see the My Upcoming Events section. Find the Meeting Event and tap on the View Meeting Book link within the event. A list of Meeting Books that are available for that Board or Committee Workroom will display. The most recent Meeting Book will appear at the top of the list. Tap Download to Device to download your meeting book for viewing when you are offline. To find Meeting Books for another Board or Committee, use the Menu icon in the top left corner to choose another workroom. Tap View Meeting Book to open your downloaded book.

3 After you Download Meeting Book, a green View Meeting Book button is displayed. Tap here to open the meeting book. Note: when downloaded to your device, the meeting book is available for offline access. Your Meeting Book will open to the first page. Navigation tools are located on the far right side of the display, at the top (Navigation Panel) and bottom (Page Selection). 4 Select an annotation tool from the bottom left. Highlighter Pencil Strikethrough Sticky Note Free Form Highlighter Underline Use your finger on your screen to place the annotation, then click Done in the lower right corner. Example: Using the Highlighter: 1. Tap Tool at bottom left 2. Highlight: run your finger across the text to highlight 3. Tap Done at bottom right Explore the other tools: Type Notes With the Sticky Note Change colors Highlighter and Pencil When finished, Save your annotations by clicking the save button in the top right. Close your book (top left corner). Saved annotations sync between the app and the web portal.

5 From the MyBoardEffect welcome page, scroll down to your Upcoming Events. Tap to RSVP to upcoming meetings in one click. Click Export to Calendar to save the event directly to your icalendar. You can also tap Clear Response to change your RSVP, or Add Notes to your reply.

6 From the MyBoardEffect landing page, scroll down to My Polls & Surveys. From here, you can open the poll or survey in one click. Tap the name of the poll or survey, which will open the response window. Answer the questions by selecting or typing a response, and click Submit when complete.

7 After opening the App, you can reveal a left-hand menu to navigate into a Workroom to find your Meeting Books and other materials. Tap the Menu icon in the upper left corner to reveal the Navigation menu. This Menu icon appears in most of the App screens for quick and easy access to any area. Choose your Workroom from the Navigation Menu. Note that you may need to tap on a Workgroup first Workgroups are shown in bold and appear above the list of Workrooms. You can also use the Navigation menu to find resource files (Browse Files), view other members (Directory), and review your own profile. When you enter a workroom, the Workroom name will display at the top. The Workroom sections will display at the bottom of the screen. Tap to navigate to Workroom Home, Events, Files, or Collaborate.

8 Tap the Menu icon in the upper left corner to display the Navigation Menu. Select the Board or Committee Workroom from the Navigation Menu to access that Workroom s Home screen. Note that you may need to tap on a Workgroup first Workgroups are shown in bold and appear above the list of Workrooms. From the Sections bar at the bottom of the screen, select Workroom Files The Board or Committee Meeting Books available for download will display. Make sure the Meeting Books button is selected in the area just below the Workroom name. Tap Download to Device to download the Meeting Book so you can read and annotate when you re offline. A red Update button indicates that a book you previously downloaded has been updated. Tap to update your version your annotations on documents that did not update will be preserved. When the green View Meeting Book button is displayed, the book has been downloaded to your device for Offline Access. Tap to view your book.

9 Tap the Menu icon in the upper left corner to display the navigation menu. Select the Board or Committee workroom from the Navigation Menu to access that workroom s home screen. Note: You may need to select a Workgroup first. From the Sections bar at the bottom of the workroom screen, select Workroom Events. All Upcoming Events will be displayed for that workroom. RSVP to upcoming events by clicking the button next to Please RSVP. You can also tap Clear Response to change your RSVP, or Add Notes to your reply. If there are meeting books attached to the event, tap on the name to jump directly to the meeting materials. Click Export to Calendar to save the event directly to your icalendar.

Note: You may need to select a Workgroup first. From the Sections bar at the bottom of the screen, select Collaborate. Click the menu at the top of the page to change the displayed feature (Scheduler, Polls, Surveys, Discussions, or Tasks) 5 Tap the name of the survey, which will open the response window. Answer the questions and click Submit to send your response.
