Get a regular schedule to meet with your supervisor, or anyone who green-lights projects/initiatives. Get a regular schedule to train your users (brown-bag sessions, or something more formal)

This is especially helpful in justifying your existence at budget time, and perhaps when asking for more staff. If you re not good at organization (most of us aren t), find someone who is and ask for their help.
