10 2. Wire List Menu 2.1. Create Wire List Create a New Wire List Creating a New Wire List This window allows you to create a new Wire List for viewing, editing or printing. Click on the Create Wire List Icon, or Click on the Wire List>Create New Wire List drop down menu. Wire List Entry Window You must enter a file Name during the creation process. This name will be used by the software to locate, edit and print the data contained in the Wire List file. The Description field is optional; however, it is very convenient for differentiating between similar file names. From this window, you are also asked to specify Special Features, Sleeve, Font and Alignment information. Starting with the Special Features, click to check your preference between Lanscape printing or Variable Length Printed Tags (the tag length needed to print only the tag information). Next, enter the Sleeve information - the Type, Color, Size and Length of the product you wish to print. Now, enter the information for the Font you wish the text on the tags to be printed with: Font Name, Font Style, Point size and number of Lines. Last, enter the Alignment information: Horizontal and Vertical. Some of these options can be set as defaults in the Tools>Default Settings Window. Page 8 footer text

11 After completing this window, you will have created a Wire List file in which to store your markers. The next step is to enter marker data for your Wire List. Clicking on the Accept button will bring up the Marker Entry window. You will notice at the top of the Marker Entry window's left side, the current Wire List data path name. Also, on the top left side of the window, your Wire List's Sleeve and Font Information are displayed. The number of markers is displayed in the upper left corner of the window (when starting out, this number will be zero) Add/Edit Marker data Wire List Entry and Editing This window allows you to add, delete and edit markers. footer text Page 9

12 This graphic shows the Wire List entry window and the beginning point for entering marker data. The data entry point (called the editing position) will always be in the upper left corner of your window. In addition to entering data, the user may change the number of copies of each marker. Entering data is accomplished by typing data into the marker - or by using one of the shortcut keys, then closing that line of data by using the Return or Tab keys, or the Add/Edit tag button. This will move the finished marker down one position and let you start a new marker. You may highlight text and right-click with the mouse to copy and paste data from previous markers. To use this method, the copy or paste marker must be in the editing position. If the marker you wish to modify or enter data into is not in the editing position, you may quickly move a label there by double-clicking the selected marker. You may quickly view and select any marker in this Wire List file by using the scroll bar to scroll among previously input markers. You may also move the scroll bar using the keyboard's up/down/pageup/pagedown arrows after the scroll bar has been selected. You may use the shortcut keys to perform the following actions: duplicate a line from the previous marker, increment a numeric value at the end of a line on the previous marker, duplicate the previous marker, duplicate the previous marker reversing lines, and duplicate the previous marker reversing information on the left and right side. Page 10 footer text

13 With the special shortcut keys, marker data can be entered much more efficiently. When you have finished inputting all marker data into the Wire List file, click on Print to enter the printing routine, or click on Exit to leave this window and return to the main SumiMark III window. The inputted data will be saved with either option. At the conclusion of this window, you now have your marker data inputted and stored in your Wire List file.
