AV7005 AV Pre-Amplifier. CR60 Stereo Mini Component 4. NA7004 Network Audio Player Purchase price of the AirPlay upgrade is $60.00 AUD. A separate upgrade must be purchased for each Marantz component owned. Only units purchased in Australia from authorized Marantz dealers can be upgraded. Check firmware versions on all devices and upgrade them if needed. New firmware will almost certainly be required. ipod Touch / iphone / ipad: ios 4.. or later itunes: Version 0 or later Marantz component: Firmware issued after 5 / / 00. (For reliability, use cable connection to internet for any firmware upgrades to Marantz components.) NA7004 / CR60: Menu > Other > Firmware Update Checklist of information required to purchase AirPlay:. Model Number (E.g. SR7005, AV7005, CR60 or NA7004). Colour of unit (Black or Silver/Gold). Serial Number (located on the back of the unit or on the carton) 4. (located on the back of the unit, or in the menu system) 5. Upgrade ID. The digit Upgrade ID will be displayed after firmware update is completed. 6. Preferred credit card details (Only VISA or MasterCard accepted card number and expiry date) 7. Purchase receipt (with date of purchase, store name and store address clearly visible). Fax or your information to QualiFi: 4. Upgrade to AirPlay: Fax the completed form (page of this PDF) to QualiFi with your purchase receipt. You will be notified by as soon as your AirPlay registration has been successful. You will also receive PDF addendums for your Marantz component s r Guide (Owner s Manual), which will give you instructions for operating AirPlay. After receiving your notification, go into your Marantz component and perform the upgrade to AirPlay. Detailed instructions are on following pages. NA7004 / CR60: Press ENTER/MEMO twice; the down arrow to select Upgrade ; use the down arrow to select Yes then press ENTER/MEMO. Upgrades may take 0 minutes or more to install. Page

3 M-CR60 NA7004 AirPlay Software Follow the next three steps to perform AirPlay upgrade. STEP : Updating the firmware to the latest version. STEP : Obtaining upgrade ID. (This ID is required when purchasing/registering the upgrade.) STEP : Performing registration and upgrade. NOTE An Internet connection is required for the AirPlay upgrade. STEP : Firmware update Update your unit to the latest version. Press ON/STANDBY. When the unit is turned ON, it is automatically connected to the network. To ensure the successful upgrade, wait for minutes or more before proceeding to Step. Press MENU. The unit enters the menu setting mode and the menu is shown in the display. 4 [Menu] /6 [Menu] Timer Clock Network Other i to select Other, then press ENTER/MEMO. 4 upgrade procedure ENGLISH 5 Select Page 4 Check for Update, then press ENTER/MEMO. Check if your firmware is the latest one. () : New firmware is available. () : The latest firmware has already been installed. In this case, press o repeatedly to exit menu, and go to STEP - (vpage ). 6 Press 7 ENTER/MEMO. Proceed to the next screen. i to select Yes, then press ENTER/MEMO. The update starts. [Firmware Update] Yes [Firmware Update] Authenticating Do not unplug AC power cord duri... [Check For Update] () Update Available : go update 0 : return [Check For Update] () Latest Firmware 0 : return [Updating] min 50% System Do not turn the unit OFF or disconnect the power cord until the update is completed. When the firmware update is completed, the light of the display is turned OFF and the unit restarts automatically. NOTE If updating fails, the set automatically retries, but if updating is still not possible, one of the messages shown below is displayed. If the display reads as shown below, check the settings and network environment, then update again. Display Description Updating fail Updating failed. Login failed Failure to log into server. Server is busy Server is busy. Wait a while then try again. Connection fail Failure in connecting to server. Download fail Downloading of the firmware has failed. Even with a broadband connection to the Internet, approximately 0 minutes is required for the updating/ upgrading procedure to be completed. Once updating/upgrade starts, normal operations on this unit cannot be performed until updating/ upgrading is completed. Furthermore, updating/upgrading the firmware may reset the backup data for the parameters, etc. set for this unit. If the update or upgrade fails, remove and re-insert the power cord. Update retry appears on the display and update restarts from the point at which update failed. If the error continues despite this, check the network environment.

5 STEP : Obtaining upgrade ID An upgrade ID is required for the AirPlay upgrade. This ID is necessary when you purchase/register the upgrade. When the unit is turned ON after the firmware update and there is a more recent firmware available for Firmware Update and Add New Feature, a notification message is automatically displayed in the unit. However, you can also turn this function OFF in Update Notification and Upgrade Notification. If you turned the function OFF, proceed to STEP -. After Press the firmware update is completed, a notification message is displayed in the unit. When there is an upgrade available, AirPlay upgrade available! is displayed. ENTER/MEMO. The information is shown in the display. 7 STEP : Upgrade r registration is required for upgrade. After the user registration is completed, start the upgrade in the unit. Complete Steps to in STEP - (vpage ).
