SR7005 AV Receiver 2. AV7005 AV Pre-Amplifier 3. CR603 Stereo Mini Component 4. NA7004 Network Audio Player Purchase price of the AirPlay upgrade is $60.00 AUD. A separate upgrade must be purchased for each Marantz component owned. Only units purchased in Australia from authorized Marantz dealers can be upgraded. Check firmware versions on all devices and upgrade them if needed. New firmware will almost certainly be required. ipod Touch / iphone / ipad: ios or later itunes: Version 10 or later Marantz component: Firmware issued after 15 / 12 / (For reliability, use cable connection to internet for any firmware upgrades to Marantz components.) SR7005 / AV7005: Menu > Manual Setup > Option Setup > Firmware Update Checklist of information required to purchase AirPlay: 1. Model Number (E.g. SR7005, AV7005, CR603 or NA7004) 2. Colour of unit (Black or Silver/Gold) 3. Serial Number (located on the back of the unit or on the carton) 4. MAC Address (located on the back of the unit, or in the menu system) 5. Upgrade ID. For the SR7005 / AV7005 it is the 12 digit number located in the menu system. 6. Preferred credit card details (Only VISA or MasterCard accepted card number and expiry date) 7. Purchase receipt (with date of purchase, store name and store address clearly visible) 3. Fax on your information to QualiFi: 4. Upgrade to AirPlay: Fax or the completed form (page 2 of this PDF) to QualiFi with your purchase receipt. You will be notified by as soon as your AirPlay registration has been successful. You will also receive PDF addendums for your Marantz component s User Guide (Owner s Manual), which will give you ou instructions for operating AirPlay. After receiving your notification, go into your Marantz component and perform the upgrade to AirPlay. Detailed instructions are on pages 3 to 6. SR7005 / AV7005: Select MENU > MANUAL SETUP > OPTIONS > ADD NEW FEATURE (AirPlay should show a Registered ). Select UPGRADE to install the AirPlay upgrade into your Marantz component. Upgrades may take 30 minutes or more to install. Page 1

3 Tip 2) If your receiver shows Latest in the update firmware field, then your receiver already has the latest firmware update. Please proceed from slide 6 to STEP 2 (Finding your serial # and MAC address). (Right) STEP 1 Page 3 Update to Latest Firmware (AV7005 / SR7005) (1/4) This step shows you how to update your receiver to latest firmware before starting the upgrade. Update from the On-Screen Menu (Press the MENU key on the RC or on your receiver) (1) Select Manual Setup. (2) Select Option Setup,. (3) Select Firmware Update. (4) Select Check for Update Press Enter. (5) Your receiver is connecting the server. (6) Shows if update is available and download time (7) Select Update Press Enter. (8) Select Yes Press Enter. (9) Starting update The On-Screen Menu shuts down automatically. (10) The front display shows updating status. Your receiver will reboot automatically when finished. Please do not turn off your receiver during update. Update may take longer than estimated download time. Tip 1) With a network connection, a Pop up menu will show and indicate that a new firmware is available when powering on. Press Enter to continue. (Left)

4 STEP 2 Page 4 Finding Your Serial Number and MAC address (AV7005 / SR7005) (2/4) This step shows you where to locate the serial number and MAC address of your receiver. You can check the back panel, carton box, front display or on-screen menu. See below. On Back Panel (Serial Number Only) Serial Number XXXXXXXXXX On the Box Serial Number MAC Address MAC : xxxxxxxxxxxx On Front Display Press and hold both STATUS key and RETURN key, and push ON/STANDBY on. Press STATUS key until front display shows Serial Number and MAC Address. Front Display Serial Number SR7005 U1B S/N. XXXXXXXXXX MAC Address ON/STANDBY STATUS RETURN *Ethernet MAC XXXXXX-XXXXXX On-Screen Menu (MAC Address only) Press the MENU keys on the RC or your receiver. Select Manual Setup, Network Setup, and Network Info. Network Info shows you MAC Address.

5 STEP 3 Page 5 Finding Your Upgrade ID (AV7005 / SR7005) (3/4) *) The Upgrade ID is a unique code for your receiver and is necessary for your upgrade. This step shows you how to find your upgrade ID. Finding Your Upgrade ID from the On-Screen Menu (Press the MENU Key on the RC or on your receiver) 1) Select Manual Setup 2) Select Option Setup 3) Select Add New Feature 4) Your receiver is connecting the server. 5) Your receiver shows Upgrade ID Your Upgrade ID (12 Characters)

6 STEP 4 Page 6 Upgrading Your Receiver (AV7005 / SR7005) (4/4) Thank you for your purchase! This step walks you through how to activate your feature upgrade. Upgrade from the On-Screen Menu (Press the MENU key on the RC and on your receiver) (1) Select Manual Setup (2) Select Option Setup (3) Select Add New Feature (4) Your receiver is authenticating (5) Select Upgrade Press Enter to start upgrade. The On-Screen Menu shuts down automatically. (6) The front display shows upgrade status. The unit will reboot automatically after upgrade. Please do not turn off your receiver during upgrade.
