2 FOREWORD Sound Leisure Ltd was founded in 1978 and entered the leisure industry in 1980 when it manufactured its first jukebox product, displaying it at Alexandra Palace in London. For over 25 years Sound Leisure Ltd has maintained its core principle, to manufacture industry leading coin and non coin play entertainment systems. As a private family owned and run company, it has gathered together some of the finest craftsmen and technical minds to be found anywhere in the leisure industry. It now has at its disposal a wide range of facilities, housed in its recently acquired 80,000sq.ft factory in Leeds. This has given a new home to its research and development, manufacturing, service, operations and office staff. Additionally a further 10,000 sq.ft are occupied by computer hardware and software development in Nottingham, UK. All jukebox computer software and hardware is developed in house. The combination of resources available across our sites affords us the ability to take products from concept to manufacture and final testing without the need for external contracting, enabling us to respond quickly to changes in demand with in the market place. Sound Leisure Ltd exports products globally and offers the finest after sales technical support via telephone and services. Additionally, regular training sessions hosted at our Leeds base allow operators, engineers and owners hands on access to our technical experts and the engineers and designers at the heart of our organisation. Over the years the company has strived to be at the forefront of new technologies demonstrating the world first digital audio jukebox in August 1988 and satellite delivery digital video jukeboxes in The company now employs over 150 skilled engineers, software, hardware technicians, cabinet woodworkers, spray shop and metal workers with most operations being carried out entirely inhouse at their 80,000 sq ft factory in Leeds. The company exports jukebox equipment all around the world supplying many well known blue chip companies (Pioneer Japan, Holland America Cruises, Harrods Department Store) also many famous film stars, football & sportsmen, royalty etc. In addition our equipment can be found in retail stores across Europe in stores such as: B & Q, Mc Donalds, Burton, Dickens & Jones, Arcadia and the BBC to name a few. We also operate CD and digital jukebox/foreground music systems for companies such as Mitchell & Butlers, W & D, Enterprise, Spirit Group, Taverna and Wharfedale, among others. The company has won many accolades for innovation and quality including best jukebox in Britain by UK s jukebox operators.

3 SOUND LEISURE TODAY Sound Leisure is a fully self contained Design, Research and Development and Manufacturing company, something we pride ourselves on greatly. We employ a wide range of highly skilled people, ranging from engineers, cabinet makers and computer programmers. The following is a brief description of the departments within the Sound Leisure organisation: Research and Development R&D is responsible for transferring design concepts into reliable high quality profitable products. As well as extending the Sound Leisure product range, R&D have completed many developments for external companies, resulting in products as diverse as air extraction cabinets and rodeo bull control stations. In many situations developments will utilise the skills of Sound Leisure s other internal resources, such as Electronic and mechanical Engineering, software and hardware development and cabinet design and manufacture. Our wide range of skills and experience ensure we remain unique as a one stop shop for product design, development and manufacture. Manufacturing Our recent relocation extended our manufacturing capacity to 60,000sq ft. Sub divisions within manufacturing include: Cabinet Shop Extensive woodwork machining facilities and a wealth of talent and experience ensure our jukebox products continue to be regarded as the highest quality products available. We remain the only jukebox company in the world still manufacturing a one piece cabinet for our range of nostalgia products (go to due to the complexities and skill required. The one piece cabinet however benefits from huge strength and structural integrity, and just as importantly it s the way the original products we re made. It s just one example of Sound Leisure s commitment to going the extra mile to provide the customer with the best experience possible from a Sound Leisure product. Metal Work Extensive facilities allow Sound Leisure to machine and finish the majority of components used in our products in house, giving us greater control over the supply and quality of them. Additionally maintaining this facility in house adds another valuable resource to the R&D department. Spay Shop Extended during the relocation to our new premises the addition of a new spray shop allows Sound Leisure to control the quality and final finish of a vital process in the production process. CD Tech and DigiTech Provides technical assistance to customers and owners of the 50,000 plus Sound Leisure machine s in the world wide market. Available via phone and they are dedicated to resolving on site problems quickly and efficiently. Software and Hardware Based in Nottingham, England the software and hardware division is responsible for the design and manufacture of all Sound Leisure s software, and the platforms on which they run. In conjunction with the R&D department they have undertaken external work for many distinguished clients including BBC, National museum of Wales, Arcadia, Scream etc. Additionally our Nottingham site is the location from which all the PCB components are manufactured. This includes the manufacture of boards used in our Amplifiers, video amplifiers, control boards and PC s etc.

4 SOUND LEISURE - THE ORGANISATION Sound Leisure s customer base and product range is so wide, to make it easier to understand exactly what we do we ve organised our port folio into 3 sections, which are: Sound Leisure: Manufacturer and Supplier of Digital and CD Jukeboxes to the leisure industry. 5 TIME FOR CHANGE Sound Leisure Ltd Operations are actively pushing forward the upgrade of CD Jukeboxes to Digital wherever possible because of the greater benefits to all parties, which are: Increased cash in the box Regular music updates Increased Interactive playability Reduction in mechanical malfunction In conclusion, the above benefits all go someway to giving the licensed house a greater chance of keeping the customer that little bit longer, which results in MORE CASH IN THE TILL!
