1 Congratulations on the purchase of the BT Micro Retail Your special edition of the BT Micro Retail is equipped to connect 2 PSTN lines. The accompanying documentation for the standard BT Micro details 1 PSTN line. This document is intended to guide you where additional information is needed using the 2 nd PSTN line. It is split into two categories: 1. Table 1 an addendum to the Fast Installation guide (supplied in hard copy) 2. Table 2 an addendum to the Owner s Manual (supplied on the accompanying CD) Table 1. Addendum to the Fast Installation Guide Page No Description Additional information for BT Micro Retail Notes 1 Picture and description of 1 line cable You will be supplied with 2 line cables (grey) Normal Telephone cables (grey) 2 Picture of the back of the BT micro illustrating the sockets only line 1 illustrated Your BT Micro Retail will have 2 sockets for Line 1 and 2 Instruction B- Plug the line cable (grey) into the Line 1 socket on the back of the BT Micro 3 Instruction D Plug the other end of the Line Cable (grey) into the connector of the splitter supplied with your DSL service. Plug the splitter into the BT wall telephone outlet. Plug the second line cable (grey) into the socket at the back of the BT Micro Retail Follow instruction D for Line 1. The first key is programmed as Line 1. BT Micro Retail first key is programmed as Line 1, second key as, third key as IP Trunk 1 and fourth key as IP Trunk Featurephone Basic Call Features Making and answering calls making an external call in normal mode Making an external call with Automatic Line selection programmed Featureline Operation Making an external call on a Featureline Press the Line key 1 for line 1 and dial the external number. BT Micro Retail press the key for either Line 1 or and dial the external number When the system is programmed for Featureline operation external calls are placed on Line 1 by BT Micro Retail has both Line 1 and programmed for Featureline. The normal mode, which is the default, a line access is digit 9 for Line 1 and dial 8 for an IP line. BT Micro Retail dialling 9 will seize either of the two PSTN Lines (Line 1 or ) BT Micro Retail the software will display Line 1 and all features and functions can be programmed on both lines BT Micro Retail the software will display Line 1 and these features can be programmed on both Lines.
