3 1. Introduction: Before a fixed telephone network-modem can be connected to the IDL100, IDL101 or ITL104 the modem has to be initialized with a terminal program. The Baudrate of the IDL100, IDL101 or ITL104 as well as the one of the modem may not differ. The parity has to be selected as no parity in any case. As the IDL100, IDL101 or ITL104 neither have Handshake connections nor they support Xon/Xoff, these connections have to be configured in the right way and sometimes bridges are necessary with the D-Sub 9 resp. D-Sub 25 connector. Depending on the module type different cables have to be used. Currently the following modems are supported: Multi-Tech Systems MT1932ZDX / MT2834ZDXI US-Robotics Sportster / Sportster Voice 33.6 Fax US-Robotics Message Modem 56k INSYS HS MODEM TA-Type Modem144 INSYS HS MODEM TA-Type Modem ISDN MAGICXPRESS MX56VX ELSA MicroLink 56k Fun Siemens M1 Siemens M20 Falcom A1 Falcom A2 Different modems can be connected as well. But it is important to configure the modems with a terminal program in the right way. 12 In case a password (PIN-code) has to be defined: AT+CPIN=... Connection of a module of the series ISM100 (not IDL100, IDL101 or ITL104) Therefore an additional adapter has to be used where pins 2 and 3 have to be exchanged.
