ABSTRACT: Permitting to the reports of WHO, NCRB-social-government organization 35% Women all over the world are facing a lot of unethical physical harassment in public places such as railway-bus stands, foot paths etc. This device for the women security in public places which aims to provide the 100 percent safe environment. This system can be implemented as an android app application and using atmega8 based board. This system provides all required functionality and there is no need to buy and install different apps that possess different functionality. Hence the cost gets minimized as well as the memory requirement by the system is less compared to having many apps. Keywords: GSM, GPS, Bluetooth, Security, Wearable Device, Smartphone. [1] INDRODUCTION Introduction of our wearable safety band is a security device specially considered for women in emergency and in distress. It is simple and relaxed to use and carry with various functionalities. The numbers of smart phone users are rotating into greater in amount all over the world. 2 has many applications which is useful to people in which our wearable safety band will become one of those. It is a personal safety product designed to keep you and your friends safe 24/7. It is packedwith features for both everyday Safety and actual emergencies, making it an ultimate tool for all. This user-friendly application can be accessed by anyone who has installed it in their smart phones as well as who has our device. The intention is to provide you with fastest and simplest way to contact your nearest help. The basic approach is just on single click) to get the instant location and a message to the cops and the pre-set numbers, so that unfortunate incident can be avoided and to provide real time evidence for the action against crime of women. This device can also be implemented in future and can be embedded in jewelers, wrist watch, mobile phones etc., in order to make this device handy. This can also help police department to reduce the crimes, which are against women, and the evidence can be used to trace the crime such as 1. Attempted physical or sexual assault 2. Unsafe neighbours 3. Domestic violence. [2] EXISTING SYSTEM FOR WOMEN SECURITY Having this concern in mind many developers have come up with creative applications. Some of such applications are: Codes like *91# is used to provide emergency services, which will alert police control. Free mobile application 'Help me on mobile' to ensure safety of women was launched to assist those who need emergency. These applications need a single click to do this task. But when a girl is in trouble, there can be times that the girl is not capable of taking the phone and pressing button. A. SHE (Society Harnessing Equipment): It is a garmentembedded with an electronic device. This garment has an electric circuit that can generate 3800kV which can help the victim to escape. In case of multiple attacks it can send around 80 electric shocks. B. ILA security: The co-founders of this system, have designed three personal alarms that can shock and disorient potential attackers and hence safe gaurd the victim from perilous situations. C. AESHS (Advanced Electronics System for Human Safety) It is a device that helps track the location of thevictim when attacked using GPS facility. D. VithU app: This is an emergency app initiated by a popular Indian crime television series Gumrah aired on Channel [V]. When the power button of the Smartphone is pressed twice consecutively, it begins sending alert messages with a link of the location of the user every two minutes to the contacts. E. Smart Belt: This system is designed with a portable device which resembles a normal belt. It consists of Arduino Board, screaming alarm and pressure sensors. When the threshold of the pressure sensor marks, the device will be activated automatically. The screaming alarm unit will be activated and send sirens requesting help. The main drawback of these applications and services is that the initial action has to be triggered by the victim which often in situation like these doesn t happen. So the emphasis is to build a solution that works autonomously in situations encountered. [3] PROPOSED SYSTEM The proposed system is basically a one touch system which provides security to the womens,childrens or disables people who want to appproach for the nearest help. The wearable band is connected to our developed mobile application through wifi. In case when the button is pressed, the parents as well as nearby police will be receiving notification. Along with SMS, a voice call will also be sent as an alert to the police. Inorder to provide help to people especially women, in emergency situations, an emergency wearable device has been proposed. The button is the initial point and when it is pressed, the alert is sent to nearby police station by tracking location as well as to parents via voice call and SMS. The transmission and the receiving section can be classified as: Fig 1. Main block diagram Transmitter: The prototype system includes two independent systems working in sync with each other. The first is a wearable device, a wristband/watch and the second a smart phone application. The wearable device is built using GPS, Zig-Bee and GSM modules. On triggering this system the GPS data is acquired by the GPS module and is encoded into a valid Google maps link and sent through text messages to enlisted family, friends and the authorities. Receiver: Another message is send to the victim s smart phone which has an Android application installed on it. The application alert system is triggered upon receiving a message from the user's wristband. This application sends the location details to the server. The server calculates the distance and sends the location to the nearest police station and enrolled numbers. [4] SYSTEM DETAILED 1. HARDWARE DEVICE The device can be activated by just merely pressing the emergency button once. This device gets activated and sends instant location with a distress message to the police pre-set numbers through a GSM module. the device looks like and when the emergency button is double clicked, the device sends both the distress message with instant location and records the audio of the incident. When the same button is long pressed it activated call to the police and sends message to the police instant location. The location is located using GPS.The audio is recorded using audio recorder and call is made from GSM modem respectively. This GSM Modem that is inbuilt in the smartphone accept any GSM network operator SIM card. 4 calls..we connect the device with our mobile (through WIFI), to find our location even if our mobile is lost which can be activated by clicking tracking your mobile button and the location of the mobile is sent to the pre-set number. Fig: 2 Detailed Hardware 1. ATMEGA8: The microcontroller used in this system is ATMEGA8 of the AVR family, which is a 28-pin IC and belongs to the mega AVR category of AVR family. It is a high performance, low power 8 bitmicrocontroller. It has advanced RISC architecture with 8K of in-system flash memory. 2. AUDIORECORDER: The audio is stored in the modulesinternal. 3. RELAY: The relay is used to switch between the GSM and the Bluetooth module. This is connected to thetx pin of the microcontroller ATMEGA8. The relay first connects the TX pin directly to the GSM thusenabling communication via GSM services. Then it switches the TX pin to the BLUETOOTH module which canthen be used to communicate to the receiver through the Bluetooth network. 4. GPS: The GPS module used in this project is used to establish a linkwith one of the 24 orbiting satellites and get GPS location coordinates. The GPS module is connected to therx pin of the microcontroller, the device then sends the latitude and longitude positions to themicrocontroller. 5. BLUETOOTH: This module enables communication via Zig Bee network. The module operates within ISM GHz frequency band with IEEE baseband. 6. GSM: The SIM900 transports GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900MHz performance for voice, SMS, Information,and Message in a minor form feature and with low power feeding. 2. SOFTWARE 1. Android application: The android application is used to pair the Smartphone with the module. This gets paired through bluetooth to the device. Software flow As the fig 3.Shows the wearable band consists of two application 1.Mobile application and 2. Web application. 1. Mobile application- the device consist of an android application which consist of registered numbers of parents and friend and authorities. The application consists of modifications such update the number, delete the pre defined number as well as insert a new number. Whenever the switch is pressed this registered numbers get the instant location and voice call of the victim. 2. Web application: the additional feature of the proposed system is that it also provides the location of the woman in the distress by the web application. When the button is pressed for a long time then the device gets connected to the web server finds the nearest police station and gives the detailed information of the victim such as the number, name and the location. [5] ADVANTAGES OF SYSTEM It is an all-in-one system. Hence no need to carry multiple devices. GPS tracking feature tracks the user lively when you are the move after triggering the emergency button. It capturesthe image, which can be used for further investigations. When the battery is running low, it automatically sends the location the pre-stored contacts. The above fig shows circuit diagram of wearable unit. The system uses ATMEGA328 controller with a Bluetooth module. 7 International Journal of Computer Engineering and Applications, Volume XII, Issue III, March 18, ISSN a single chip microcontroller pin no. 2 of the microcontroller is connected to the the transmitter pin of the Bluetooth module while pin no.3 (TXD) of microcontroller is connecter to the receiver pin on the Bluetooth module. The Bluetooth module has 6 pins which are STATE,RX, TX, GND, VCC and KEY respectively. Pin no.23,24 and 25 are connected to the switches which are on/off switches with respect to the ground power supply is designed by using bridge rectifier which is connected to the pin no.7(vcc) of the ATMEGA328 microcontroller. Figure5:- Hardware Of Wearable Safety Band and Android application snapshot [7] CONCLUSION The module set up used Bluetooth and GSM for wireless communication and GPS for locating individuals incorporated with a prototype device were successfully tested. Our primary goal of this project is to ensure every woman in our society to feel safe and secured. According to the survey in India 53% of working women are not feeling safe - Women is working in night shift (Bangalore- 56%, Chennai-28%, Hyderabad-35%, Mumbai-26%). In Overall 86% of working women in India, women facing hurdles are high in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune comparatively to other places. This safety band can play a major role by providing women a safe environment in all situations for example (detecting hidden camera, physical threatened, harassed, robbery, stalked). Implementing real time application and a device, we can solve the problems to an extent. With further research and innovation, this project is used as a small wearable device like watch. 8 government, so that courts accept the evidences. Women s security is a critical and social issue in today s world. The crime (molestations, robbery, sexual assault, rape, domestic violence) against the women can be now brought to an end with the help of real system implementation of propose model.
