Additional Info Metal Framing Continuous channel framing uses a channel fitting with simple nut-and-bolt connection for quick, easy construction. This king-sized erector set is a comprehensive metal framing system that is used to support runs of conduit, piping, HVAC duct, racks, railings, and electrical raceway. Although not to be used as scaffolding, Superstrut is a simple building system that may be used with existing metal framing installations. Green-Urethane powder resin is applied to the steel after fabrication. The resulting chemical bond provides excellent resistance to chipping and peeling. Silver-Zinc coating is applied prior to fabrication by hot-dipping the steel coil at the mill. Pregalvanized strut is one of the most commonly used zinc finishes. Gold-0.5 mil electrogalvanized plating creates a cohesive molecular bond between the zinc and steel, providing excellent corrosion protection and extended life. Stainless steel-channel is constructed of corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and high strength, UV resistance, and endurance. Channels Roll-formed from 12- and 14-ga. low carbon strip steel. 1 side of channel has continuous open slot with inturned lips. Attachments are secured to framing member with hardened, toothed, slotted nuts that engage the lips. Half-slot (HS) channels have slots on back side. Accessories are sold separately.
