8 OEM Vehicle Access Systems - Hyundai Future Access System Potential for vehicle access via NFC Hyundai have announce that they are in partnership with LG and are developing a system that will allow customers to lock / unlock the doors as well as monitor the vehicle status and store personal settings. NFC communication features: Unlock or lock the vehicle by tapping the phone against the NFC reader on the vehicle door (figure 12). Vehicle to automatically recognise user s personalisation settings, Adjusting the seat and mirror positions Adopting audio and radio pre-sets Navigation settings other user preferences Wireless phone charging. 9 OEM Vehicle Access Systems - Hyundai Proximity Control Smartwatch app with voice recognition Hyundai partnered with Station Digital Media to develop the Blue Link smartwatch app. Blue Link smartwatch app which works with both first and second generation Blue Link (Hyundai s proprietary telematics service) equipped models. Blue Link Smartwatch features (all voice activated) include: Remote Engine Start / Stop Remote Door Lock / Unlock Remote Flash Lights / Honk Horn Vehicle Finder Call Roadside Call Blue Link Figure 13. Hyundai Blue Link The Blue Link smartwatch app must be paired via Bluetooth to an owner s smartphone that contains the Blue Link mobile app. Remote functions can then be executed as long as the user s smartphone has a Bluetooth and cellular or Internet connection (currently being developed for the USA market).
