1 Power IQ Version from Version These Release Notes contain important information regarding the release of this product, so please read the entire document carefully. We also strongly recommend you read the user guide particularly Chapter 8 Maintenance Tasks. Power IQ automatically creates a complete backup each day. The upgrade to release will delete backups that are older than 4 days. Power IQ archives a zip file of all daily sensor readings each day. The upgrade to release will delete daily sensor reading zip files that are older than 9 days. Applicability: This firmware release is applicable for both the Power IQ virtual appliance and the hardware appliance. Release Status: Power IQ Release is a Generally Availability (GA) English only release. Upgrade Instructions From Power IQ : Create a backup and save to your PC. Download the following two Power IQ Software upgrade bin files from Documentation note Letter A and B in red is just to highlight the difference in file names. power-iq-v a.bin power-iq-v b.bin The following is a video of an upgrade using the instructions below: Step 1: Install power-iq-v a.bin via the Power IQ GUI. Click Software Upgrades link. Browse for power-iq-v a.bin

2 Click Begin Import You will receive the following message: This is file 1 out 2 to You will receive the following message: System Check Successful You will receive the following message: An internal error occurred. Please notify Raritan technical support if it persists. Ignore this error and proceed to step 2. Step 2: Restart the Power IQ Web Console via the Power IQ GUI. Click Restart Web Console Click Yes to confirm. Step 3: Repeat Step 1 by installing power-iq-v a.bin again via the Power IQ GUI. Click Software Upgrades link. Browse for power-iq-v a.bin Click Begin Import. You will receive the following message: This is file 1 out 2 to You will receive the following message: System Check Successful You will receive the following message: Notice upgrade has been started. Wait 3 minutes and proceed to Step 4. Step 4: Install power-iq-v b.bin via the Power IQ GUI. Click Software Upgrades link. Browse for power-iq-v b.bin

3 Click Begin Import. You will receive the following message: upload Please wait with status bar going to 100% - Then verifying You will receive the following message: This is file 2 out 2 to You will receive the following message: Systems check Successful You will receive the following message: Notice the upgrade has been started. Wait: 10 to 30 minutes for the system to upgrade, shutdown and reboot. 5 CC-SG Compatibility: Release 4.3 Vendor Agnostic Power Control Release Vendor Agnostic Power Control with Configuration Sync Known Issues: There are two know issues with PX SNMP traps Both will be fixed in the next PX GA release. The following provides the current work around and the description of the impact. o We recommend that you perform all your outlet control operations from the Power IQ GUI, CC-SG GUI or the API. If you perform a power control operation from the PX GUI, the correct outlet will be switched but the event listed in the event tab will always state the name of outlet one. o We recommend that you include either the word Temperature or Humidity in your PX sensor label for your environmental sensors. If you don t, the event description might not be as informative as it could be.
