3 General Overview The TG product contains 3 menus: User Menu, Setup Menu, and Testing Menu. The User Menu gives access to system functional setpoints, the Setup Menu allows the user to view device sensor information and add or remove sensors, and the Testing Menu allows the user to turn on certain interfaces for a limited time in order to test functionality. Each menu is comprised of a variation of 4 primitive elements: Categories, Sub- Categories, Items, and Values/Options. Categories can contain items and sub-categories, while Sub-Categories contain only items. Items contain only values/options. Values are either integer or decimal based numbers, which can be incremented and decremented. Options are multiple choice based values, which can be scrolled through and selected. An example of each is shown below in Figure 1. Menu Category Sub-Category Item Options User Menu Quickstart A Default 0-10V 0-5V 4-20mA 1-5V Outputs Out1 Setpoints V.HI. Fan Relay. Min On Time Value 0-10 (volts) (minutes) Figure 1: Example of how the primitive elements are used to comprise the menus. Here the Quickstart category contains an item A, which has a set of multiple choice options. The Outputs category contains a sub-category Out1 Setpoints, which in turn contains an item V.HI that can be set to any value between 0-10 (in volts).the Fan Relay category has an item Min On Time which can be set to any value between 0 and 120 (in minutes). Buttons Select button. Up button. Down button. Navigation and Selection Pressing or while viewing a Category/Sub-Category/Item advances to the next or previous Category/Sub-Category/Item. Pressing or while viewing a Value increments or decrements the Value. Pressing or while viewing an Option scrolls through the available Options. Pressing while viewing a Category allows you to view the items and sub-categories it contains. Pressing while viewing an Item allows you to view and modify the values/options for that Item. Pressing while viewing a Value/Option applies your selection and returns you to the Item view. Each Menu contains an Item, which will exit the current menu. Each Category/Sub-Category contains an Item, which will return you to the previous Menu/Category. Note: Some Values/Options do not require the button to be pressed before your change is applied. Assume all changes to Values/Options occur at the time or is pressed Analog User s Guide, TG Series Page 3 of A
