Analyse the implications for design and development of using live data and database-driven content 2.1. Summarise key aspects of standards, conventions and guidelines relating to designing interactive media 1

Define the expectations and requirements of the target users for interactive media 3.2. Identify the nature of a client s business and the context in which an interactive media product is required 3.3. Use the results of user testing and other data analysis to inform the design process 3.4. Develop user personas, usage scenarios and user journeys 3.5. Define any third-party online services that could be used within interactive media 3.6. Report the impact of requirements for localisation on interactive media product design 3.7. Evaluate any opportunities and issues relating to adapting existing designs and structures 2

Devise suitable naming, coding and mapping conventions for documenting product structure 4.3. Specify functionality for interactive media 4.4. Determine how end-user features should operate 4.5. Produce designs that make optimum use of target platforms and available technologies for the intended purpose of an interactive media product 4.6. Liaise with colleagues to confirm that product architecture and user interface are suitable for the intended purpose of an interactive media product 4.7. Document specifications and designs in suitable formats and in sufficient detail to act as blueprints for product development

4 Unit Code: KA2/4/EA/009 ASSESSMENT INFORMATION Specific Requirements for Assessment and delivery of this unit. ASSESSMENT AND DELIVERY INFORMATION Centre devised assessment tasks should be approved by the internal verifier for the course before delivery takes place in order to ensure the assessment is fit for purpose and meets the standards required. Unit Summary In this unit learners will prepare and create interactive media to meet expectations and requirements. They will also gain an understanding of the standards, conventions and guidelines relating to designing interactive media. Delivery Requirements/Recommendations Assessment tasks will be devised to meet the needs of the learning group and to cover all the criteria. 4
