2 2 WELCOME TO LAWLYTICS We re excited to start putting our years of law firm marketing experience to work for you. The first step is to develop and launch a stunning website, and that starts with your design consultation. After that, we ll continue to help you build a thriving web presence. As a LawLytics member, you have full access to all the resources and live support you need to develop a powerful content marketing strategy and dominate your competition. In this document, you ll find our initial recommendations for your website s design, as well as some topics to consider as we embark on the design process together. Specifically, this document provides guidance for 1. Choosing a design layout 2. Choosing a logo 3. Choosing imagery and colors You won t need to make any decisions until your design consultation, when we will walk you through each decision and answer all your questions. MEET OUR DESIGNERS Sophia Oliboni, M.S. Creative Director Sophia holds a Master s Degree in Web Development and is a design specialist here at LawLytics. A creative and accomplished web designer with 12+ years of experience in both print and the digital world, she has the solution to your design woes. Janelle Buchanan, B.F.A. Front-End Developer Janelle is a front-end developer with a background in graphic design. She is passionate about using her extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to craft beautiful and functional websites. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona School of Art.
3 3 PART 1. CHOOSING A LAYOUT Good design communicates a clear message. For example, you may want certain text to stand out to visitors, or you may want to make an emotional impact with a striking image. Either way, the key is to choose an arrangement of elements a layout that draws the eye to the message you want to deliver. Our most popular layout is the Priority layout, which offers the following features: Full-width image slider to capture attention and drive traffic to important areas of your site Accolade section below the slider to promote case results, industry badges, awards or professional stats Customizable practice areas section to highlight your specialties Mega-menu capable of showcasing and organizing a robust website with hundreds of pages See the following page for a detailed description of the major design elements in the Priority layout. Other popular layouts include Joinder and Guarantee, both of which offer unique benefits that your designer will be happy to explain to you. Keep in mind: You can choose any free layout you like. During your design consultation, we will help you choose images, colors and fonts that complement your firm s marketing and branding goals. You can opt for a custom-designed layout. 5 5 PART 2. CHOOSING A LOGO A well-designed logo builds trust. We ll help you choose a high impact, eye-catching logo that leaves an unforgettable impression. We offer three options: 1. We can incorporate your existing logo into the layout of your choice. 2. You can choose a free logo from our collection, and we ll customize it for your firm. 3. We can create a custom-designed logo for an additional charge of $1,200. During your consultation, your designer will go over these logo options with you and offer suggestions. 9 9 PART 3. CHOOSING IMAGERY AND COLORS Within milliseconds of seeing your website, visitors start to form an opinion about your law firm. Your imagery sets the tone of that initial impression. For example, a sympathetic image establishes empathy and trust, which can influence a visitor to reach out to your firm for guidance. A powerful image evokes authority, helping to convince potential clients that your law firm has more to offer than your competitors. Your color scheme also impacts visitors. Your designer will help you choose colors that complement each other and your imagery, or you can choose the colors you prefer. You can see some examples of color schemes in the graphic below. Before your design consultation, consider which types of imagery and colors would best suit your firm and marketing goals. If you re not sure, your designer will be happy to offer suggestions.
