Found in Brightspace Learning Environment Using Firefox or Internet Explorer 11, log in to Brightspace Learning Environment as an administrator, and access a test course with multiple modules. 3. Observe that, next to topic titles, the drop-down triangle icons are visible. 4. Enable High Contrast Mode in the internet browser. 5. Observe that the drop-down triangle icons beside the topic titles are no longer visible. PRB (Daylight) When users follow a quicklink from a long content file, the window scroll position is not reset. Found in Brightspace Learning Environment Log in to Brightspace Learning Environment as an administrator, and access a test 4. Click Upload/Create, and select Create a File from the drop-down menu. 5. Create a file that is long enough to require scrolling to reach the end of the content item, and insert a quicklink to a discussion forum at the end of the file. 6. Click Publish. 7. Click on the content item, and scroll down to the bottom of the file. 8. Click the discussion quicklink at the bottom of the file. 9. Observe that the screen does not reset to the top of the discussion page, and instead sees either blankness or a cut-off bottom of the discussion. PRB When activity links are updated in Content (such as names, restrictions), the updates are not reflected in Content Statistics. Observe that the old name and hidden state are still visible for the assignment submission folder. PRB (Daylight) Users experience a progress bar error when uploading files to Brightspace Learning Environment. 1. Log in to Brightspace Learning Environment as an administrator, and navigate to a test 4. Click Upload/Create, and select Upload Files from the pop-up window. 5. Select My Computer. 6. Click Upload, and select any file to upload. 7. Observe that the progress bar exceeds 100% before finishing the file upload. Brightspace eportfolio and eportfolio Mobile PRB Users are unable to cancel a file upload process in eportfolio. 1. 5 3. Click Add, and select File Upload from the drop-down menu. 4. In the pop-up window, click Cancel. 5. In the Add Artifact Upload a File screen, click Cancel. 6. Observe that clicking Cancel does nothing. Grades PRB Users encounter an error returning grade values if the grade value has an associated release condition that has not been fulfilled. Found in Brightspace Learning Environment Log in to Brightspace Learning Environment as an administrator, and navigate to a test 2. From the navbar, click Grades. 3. Click New, and select Item. 4. Choose any grade item type. 5. Create a grade item with a release condition that the current user does not fulfill, such as a quiz attempt or assignment submission. 6. Click Save and Close. 7. Observe that this grade object is visible in the user interface. 8. Using the API test tool, run the following API for the course: le-(version)-(orgunitid)-grades- 9. Observe that an empty array is returned. 10. Navigate back to the grade item, and remove the release condition. 11. Re-run the API mentioned in previous steps, and observe that the grade is returned. HTML Editor PRB (Daylight) Users encounter an error when giving a style attribute to an image in the HTML Editor. 1. Log in to Brightspace Learning Environment as an administrator. 45

6 4. Click Upload/Create, and select Create a File from the drop-down menu. 5. Click Insert Image, and insert an image. 6. Highlight the image, and select Insert Attributes. 7. Give the image a custom style that is easy to observe, such as float: right; padding: 10px;, then click Create. 8. Click Publish. 9. Observe that the Attribute set for the image reverts to style=max-width: 100%. PRB (Daylight) Users encounter an error when inserting a hexadecimal value into a table color cell. As a workaround, include a hashtag in front of the hexadecimal value in order for the color to be recognized. In the new module, click Upload/Create, and select Create a File from the drop-down menu. 5. Insert a table into the HTML Editor. 6. Click the table, and select Table properties from the pop-up menu. 7. Under General, set Border to Under Advanced, set Border color to FF Click OK. 10. Observe that the table border is black and grey. 11. Click Publish. 12. Observe that the table border is still black and grey. 13. Click Edit HTML, and in the Table Properties menu, under Advanced, ensure that a hashtag is inserted in front of the color value so that the color reads #FF Click OK, and observe that the table border is now red. PRB (Daylight) Users that edit a quiz question encounter a javascript error if Cancel is selected before finishing the edit. In the dialog box click Yes to verify that you want to continue. 7. Observe that a javascript error appears. PRB (Daylight) The Autosave function does not function for users modifying content files using an ipad mobile digital device. Found in Brightspace Learning Environment Using an ipad mobile digital device, log in to Brightspace Learning Environment as an instructor. 4. Click Update/Create and select Create a File from the drop-down menu. 5. Create a file, then click Publish. 6. Re-open the file and make a modification. 7. Click Cancel or navigate away from the page. 8. Observe that the Autosave prompt does not appear. Navigation and Themes PRB (Daylight) Navbars set up in Login Page Management use the organization s theme, rather than the theme associated with the navbar in Login Page Management. Found in Brightspace Learning Environment Log in to Brightspace Learning Environment as an administrator. 2. From the navbar, click the ellipses [ ] and select Manage All Course Navbars. 3. Click Create Navbar. 4. Create two different themes with different left logo images. 5. Apply the first theme to the navbar of the organization, and apply the second theme to the new login page navbar. 6. Click Admin Tools, and select Login Page Management. 7. Under Advanced Settings, click Change, and set the navbar to the new login page navbar created in previous steps. 8. Click Update. 47

8 9. Navigate to the user login page. 10. Observe that the navbar uses the organization s navbar icon, rather than the login page navbar s icon. Widgets PRB (Daylight) Users enrolled only in past courses encounter an empty message error when attempting to view present or future courses in the My Courses widget. As a workaround, do one of the following: 1. Access Brightspace Learning Environment using Google Chrome. 2. Refresh the browser until the proper My Courses widget message appears. 1. Using Firefox or Internet Explorer, log in to Brightspace Learning Environment as an administrator, and access a test 2. Create a student, and ensure their access is limited to past courses. 3. Ensure the student is only enrolled in one single 4. Impersonate the student. 5. Access the My Courses widget, and observe that the current and future courses message does not display. 48
