4 Attend a virtual classroom session Attend a virtual classroom session 1. From the navbar or in Content, click Virtual Classroom. 2. Click a link to a virtual classroom. 3. Click Enter Meeting Room. Completing a video assignment You can complete presentations online using Video Assignments by YouSeeU. You have the option to record your video separately with an external video camera and then upload the video file to YouSeeU or you can use your webcam and microphone to record it directly in YouSeeU. You can use image files for your visual aids. For example, your presentation slides can be exported as JPEG images, or you can use a chart or graph made in Excel that is also saved as an image file. Note: If you are using the premium version of Video Assignments, you might see additional options while you are completing your assignment. For more information about the additional options, view the inline help that appears on the screen. Submit a video assignment 1. From the navbar or in Content, click Video Assignments. 2. Click the assignment you want to complete. 3. Read any assignment instructions or view any assignment overview videos. 4. Do any of the following: To upload a video from your computer, click Select Video. Navigate to the file that you want to upload, then click Open. Click Begin Upload. Do not close your browser while you video is uploading. Click OK. To use a video already in your video library, click Import from Library. Navigate to the file that you want to submit, then click Open. Click OK. To record a new video, click Record Video. On the Adobe Flash Player Settings message, click Allow. When prompted, speak to verify the webcam and microphone audio levels. Ensure that your speakers or headphones are on and not muted. In the video section of the screen, click Record. When your video is complete, click Stop. To use a video that you have stored in an online storage solution, click Transfer by D2L Corporation. All rights reserved. 4

5 Completing a video assignment 5. When you are ready to complete your submission, click Submit > Yes. Add slides to your video assignment Before you begin: Your slides must be saved in an image file format (example, JPG, GIF, PNG) before you can upload them. 1. Click the assignment that you want to add slides to. 2. On the Change Slides page, play your video until you reach a point where you want to insert a slide, then click Add Slide. 3. Navigate to the slide you want to add and select it. Your image file is then uploaded and attached to your video at that specific time. 4. Click Save. 5. Repeat the Add Slide process until all of your visual aids are in place. 6. Click Save > Finish Slides. Comment on a classmate's assignment 1. From the Assignments screen, in the Evaluation column of the assignment you are working on, click a classmate's assignment. 2. In the Student Results section of the screen, click the Play button of the video you want to watch. 3. As the video plays, to add a comment, click Add Comment. 4. When the video pauses, type a message in the text box that appears. 5. Click Submit by D2L Corporation. All rights reserved. 5
