1 Overview Welcome to Brandmaster, a tool that combines our former imagebanks, document banks, video storing systems and much more. We hope this system will become your one-stop-shop for all marketing needs, whether you re looking for images, brand guidelines or campaign material. Should you need any help, don t hesitate to contact our support through Lighthouse. Login The login page can be found HERE If you have trouble logging in, please contact support. The Portals Once you re logged in to the new site, you will see four drop down menus near the top of your screen. These help to organize our content so you can find what you need even faster. Assets This DAM (Digital Asset Management) menu will store all Helly Hansen assets regarding images, videos and documents. This allows all HH employees the freedom to work independently. Most users will have access to the assets menu, including the sports images and document bank. If you frequently work with Workwear, you ll see the workwear images as well. Brand This menu will include the brand guidelines, offering a look into the proper use of logos, colors and HH branded material. Sports Marketing A retail marketing menu focusing on campaign guidelines, buyer s guides and sell-in material for Sports. It is our goal that all seasonal campaign material will be available for viewing and downloading in one area, rather than going through the archives in search of assets. Workwear Marketing Similar to the Sports marketing menu, this area will provide campaign guidelines and catalogues for our workwear line.
2 The DAM System As a user, you will have access to the Imagebank and the Document bank allowing you to find product imagery such as Flat shots, action and detail. The Document bank will provide you with catalogues, guidelines, Campaign and POS material, Product Fact sheets for Workwear and much more! Finding Assets The easiest and most effective way to find specific styles or images will be by using the search feature. After entering the correct imagebank, which can be found in the Assets menu, you will see an area toward the top of the screen titled, Type your search Once you click that area, a cursor will appear and you can type the name or style number for the product you are looking for. You will need to press the Enter key in order to send your search request. You can type several search words at the same time. Be sure you clear your search before trying to find another product. You can do this by clicking the small X on the right hand side of the search term, or by pressing Reset search on the far right of your screen. NOTE: You will also see a search bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen. This is a Brandmaster system search bar and will take you out of the imagebank. In addition to a longer processing time, the system search does not allow you to group many images for download. We suggest you only use the DAM search feature when looking for images. Search Filters If you find yourself looking for images but don t have a style number or specific search term to use, a set of search filters are available. Priority Level Depending on your level of access, you ll be able to filter between our two content levels Green Customer and Sales Reps - Product Flat shots, HH visible action images and HH Visible Detail shots. Yellow PR - Product Flat shots, clearly HH visible action images and clearly HH Visible Detail shots. Categories Filter your search based on category, image type or season
3 Tags Filter based on the type of asset (example: detail image, action image, etc.) File extension JPEG, TIF, PSD, etc. File size Large vs. small files Orientation If you need imagery in portrait or landscape orientation Date Filter on origin date You will also see a button under Search filters labeled, Meta. This allows you to filter your search based on geodata, provided the asset is tagged with location, and will offer the option to filter based on postal code or country as a whole. Today, many of our images are not geotagged. Viewing Assets After locating the asset you re searching for, you can select it. By selecting it you also open a drop-down menu with more options on how to view the asset. By clicking on the preview image of the asset, you ll activate a larger preview to appear, allowing you to see the images closely before deciding to download or share it. To view the usage rights on an image, select the image in question and press the details icon from the preview window that opens when selecting an image. You will notice a section titled, Limitation of Use where you ll find our usage rights. If you are ever unsure of usage rights, please check with Jr. Marketing Coordinator, Jordan Paquet. Similarly, in the document bank, the preview window will allow you to scroll through a preview of the document without needing to download it to your computer. You can also customize how you view images by changing the View and Sort by menu; whether you would like to view as thumbnails or as a list, sorted by name, origin date, or other.
4 Saving Assets Single assets After selecting an image you would like to save, you will see a Download button appear on the preview screen. You will be offered a choice in image quality and format, allowing you to customize the size depending on its intended use. Downloading and selecting many images at once By holding shift, you re able to select more than one image at a time. After making your selection, click the Download button where you ll be able to select the format and size of the images you re downloading. Sharing images - We recommend you create a lightbox. Think of a lightbox as a personal folder where you can organize a selection of images. Via Brandmaster, your lightbox can be shared internally or sent directly to external addresses. If sharing a lightbox externally, the recipient will receive a URL link to the lightbox. Once they open the link, they will have the option to download all of the images from Brandmaster directly, rather than initially downloading them yourself and sending them via WeTransfer or similar. Sending an entire search result - If you re searching in the DAM archive and need to send an entire search result to someone, press select all to have the option to select all visible images or the entire search result. Once highlighted, you can use the share tab to send to another internal user or send directly to an external . Creating a Lightbox You will see a tab on the left side of your screen below the Search Filters area titled, New lightbox clicking this will open a dialog box allowing you to name your lightbox and include a description. Feel free to use names and descriptions that help you stay organized, and organize them for your needs.
5 Once you press Save you will see the lightbox appear above the View All tab on the left side of your screen. You are now able to search, select images and dragand-drop to your lightbox. When the images you would like to include are highlighted, you can drag them to the left margin preview of your lightbox to add them. Pressing open beneath this area will allow you to open your lightbox and view all of the images you ve added. Switching Between Lightboxes When adding images, you can change the lightbox you re collecting in by clicking the name of the current lightbox on the left side of the screen and selecting the new lightbox from the drop down menu. If you would like to see the images you ve already collected, clicking view all below the edit button will allow you to see all of your lightboxes. If you need to change the name of your lightbox, expiration date, or contents within, click the edit button. DAM Connect App A unique feature for Brandmaster, you will also have access to the DAM archives on mobile and app-based devices. After logging in, you will have access to your lightboxes in alphabetical order with the option to view images as thumbnails or as a list. Within your lightbox you can search for specific images, make a selection from your lightbox and it directly from your device and also download all of the images from the lightbox to be available offline.
6 Marketing Portal Brand The Brand portal also serves as the Marketing homepage. It will continuously be updated with content we see in high-demand, as well as newly released material. When clicking the Brand dropdown menu, found at the top of the screen, you will see subcategories including information about proper logo usage and advertising guidelines. Within Our Values users will find information regarding the company s mission, values and brand manifesto. Sports Marketing & Workwear Marketing The Sports and Workwear Marketing portals are designed to be a one-stopshop for our users that need access to such things as seasonal catalogues, Campaign- and POS material, as well as Product Fact Sheets and pricelists. You may not see both menus, as they are only available to users who have been granted access. If you feel you will need more access than you currently have, please contact support. In the dropdown menu s for both portals, you will see that they are organized in an effective, simple way. The Campaign Guidelines tab is separated by season and specific campaign title. All information you will need in regards to advertisements and activation assets can be found here with a direct download link below each asset.
