2 -2- Overview THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING COUPONPAQ SOFTWARE COUPONPAQ platform is the No 1 feature packed coupon distribution software on the market. It creates an effective incentive marketing solution for entrepreneurs and marketing companies. This is documentation only covers the admin module, for additional user guides visit us at couponpaq.com

3 -3- Admin Guide The administrator of the system is the owner or the company that leases or owns the coupons portal. S/he is responsible for setting up the system and managing all users, coupons and businesses and ensures that the site is effective for its members. The admin module is initially accessible at (change yourwebsite.com to actual domain name). The default username and password to access the admin module is admin for both fields. The first order of business when the admin initially logs in is to visit the setup page to setup the system to meet specifications.

4 -4- Included in the setup is Settings - here the admin can setup the general features of the portal including title, keywords, currency and also change the look and feel of the portal. Payment gateway- the admin can add the payment gateway to the system. The system is integrated with paypal Area- the admin can add targeted areas to the coupons from streets in a community to states and countries. Category and subcategory- these are the tags displayed on the right side of the main site. Subscription Packages- add these packages for merchants who want to add their businesses and coupons. To complete the setup the admin must change the default userid and password under members >> my profile. Instructions are provided in their respective areas.

5 -5- System Setup Configuring the system is done in essential and must be done before the system goes live. A user has to click on the setup link to access the system setup page. Start with the general system settings as documented below with screenshots of the new user friendly V8 design. Title & Search Engine Setup The title is what the user will see at the top of their browsers when they come to your coupon site. The search engine also indexes this title. For better ranking, ensure that your title will take some words from the domain of the site. Make it short. In the Keyword field enter keywords that describes the site, once again this is visible by the search engines and helps with ranking, separate the keywords with commas. Don't go overboard and write too much. Enter the description like the keywords for the search engine. The SITE ADDRESS/ FULL DOMAIN is used for some internal coding. Enter the full web address.

6 -6- Payment & Revenue Setup The payment and revenue setup section has information related to subscriptions. The PayPal sends the subscriber to PayPal after selecting a subscription to send an payment to the account, the subscriber is automatically approved if a payment is successful. (PayPal can be disabled in the payment gateway area) Merchant must enter the currency sign displayed with the pricing information on the packages page. Take a minute and enter the benefits of a subscription with our portal. This information is displayed on the subscription page as well as the Merchant agreement. Enter the company address--optional field and an agreement for your merchants to sign before registering to advertise. The default expiration is when ads should be set to automatically expire, it is overwritten by the subscription they select but is necessary for free subscriptions. Setting the system to auto approve paid members will give subscribers immediate access to add and list coupons into the database. For free packages the subscriber will not be sent to a payment gateway but directly to add a listing. If you want the general public to register before printing a coupon check the require login before print checkbox.

7 -7- If you don't want merchants to sign up check the hide merchant registration form and enter some instructions in the advertising tab for your merchants. Advertising Setup The advertising tab sets up the information advertisers see when they sign up, enter a promotional message, description of for your packages. To display a dynamic list of your packages enter *** in the form fields. Complete the what's next field and hit submit to update your merchants advertising sign up page.

Mobile & Social New in COUPONPAQ V8 is the mobile web app for shoppers and the integration with CLICKATELL for texting capabilities. Select a stylesheet and enter add a clicakatell account for texting or disable it.

9 -9- Note you can upload a logo for your mobile site visit look and feel section to upload the logo. Enter a twitter or Facebook link to connect with your site visitor and members. Locale Settings Get your locale 4 digit number and insert it. Enter a date format for the form entries. V8 is come standard with the English language. The multi-language version is going to be available soon.

10 -10- Payment Gateways The system is integrated with paypal, the admin can click on the edit icon next to the paypal to deactivate this payment option. Enter a payment gateway name and check the activate box, enter additional information the merchant will see if they decide to pay with the gateway. A link to the gateway is necessary. In V8 we have provided additional variables to send to your payment gateway such as the price and package names so an advertiser does not have to select a package twice. For example to get the package name the advertiser selected enter [pkgname] in the gateway link you provide. Target Areas The admin can add their target area, this area is selected by the merchants when they list and are searched by the shoppers when they want to find coupons. To add an area simply enter the name of the area and add.

11 -11- You may edit an area or delete areas that don't have listings. Categories The coupons portal comes with some categories and subcategories listed on the front page. The admin can add, delete and modify this. To add category enter the name and description and then submit. Scroll down to see categories added. You can edit a category and delete categories without listings. Click on the subcategory link to direct the admin to the subcategory area. Here the admin can add a new subcategory and modify the ones in the system. Subcategories listed can be filtered to display one available to just a category for quick editing.

12 -12- Additional Site Pages Add custom pages to your site, such as about your company, terms and conditions or privacy policies. Enter the title of the page and then proceed to entering page contents with the HTML editor provided. This page is accessible from the setup >> additional pages drop down link You can edit the page content using the edit icons next to the page display.

13 -13- RSS FEEDS Introducing the RSS feeds population. Add RSS feeds to populate the homepage and or to add as a shoppers resources. We provide 3 RSS links with setup, entering affiliate RSS can provide you with additional revenue. FAQ Provide a dynamic FAQ to support clients. Select the FAQ link from the setup menu, enter the question and answer below using the HTML editor and submit. Don't forget to select the user type the FAQ is directed to. General is available on the main site for shoppers. Merchant FAQ appears in the merchants area.

14 -14- Customizing Look & Feel Customize your sites look and feel from the look and feel tab in the admin The site has 9 default style sheets and the default logo. The default v8 is enabled to start. You may change it using the drop down for the other styles. Adding a Logo

15 -15- The admin can upload a logo. click on the Add a New Logo link below the displayed logo. A popup displays a field to browse and select a logo to upload. After upload the logo will be displayed below the form. If it is as you wish click on the close icon to close and refresh the site. Make sure you have saved all your settings before you close. Enter a link for your logo and then number of characters required for listing coupons. The google map key is set with google and is required for the dynamic mapping of the businesses. Click on the visit to get key link to visit google and generate a key for your website. Adding a New Style

16 -16- Admin may customize the application some more by creating a cascading style sheet (CSS). Click on the Add a New Style popups a field to name the stylesheet and upload your custom one. Multi-Image upload is used to upload images that are in your customer stylesheet. Here is a sample CSS You must have some CSS knowledge to edit the css or create your one. The main fields are the body field which has a background image for the whole site, the #logo div which positions the logo in the header, the #header div which tells the site the size of the header and position the information in the header information, the navtop div also positions the top navigation bar add background image and all the. The main table is for the content table through the site. Browse button is the black button on all the pages, paging bar is the bar that has the filter next and previous links for search results. The site box is what has the tags and the featured listing at the top. The table header has the orange bar for the coupons (now at the bottom of the coupon). The company-title attribute refers to the orange company name style on each coupon. link box are the light gray registration box and their header.

18 -18- Pricing Click on the price/packages link in the admin to setup the subscription packages for the merchants. Here you can manage your prices packages and have a quick overview of how many merchants signed up with these packages. To add a new price package click on the Add New Price link and follow the steps below. Here you can enter the package name, price (0) for free packages and assign the number of businesses a subscriber can list with the package as well as the number of coupons. The duration of each subscription such as 9.99 monthly. Admin can add a free trial to each subscription. For featured subscriptions check the respective checkbox near featured listings. Activate or deactivate subscriptions. A deactivated subscription remains in the system but can no longer be subscribed to as it is not listed with the packages. Tip, the admin can add as many listings from the administrator module, but to test the merchant module add a deactivated admin price and edit the profile to have this package. Note packages that have subscriptions cannot be deleted as it will affect the subscribed members. It can however be deactivated.

20 -20- Business Management The first page the after admin login is the business listing page, on this page the admin can list and manage businesses. The top of the page displays the login check information with IP and timestamp as well as a quick glance on activities in the system. On the lower part of the page the registered businesses are displayed with the most recently added business at the top. All the fields can be sorted from the sorting field above the table. The admin can use the search on the page to find a business. Use the quick approved/suspend checkmark to approve and suspend businesses on their respective rows. Click edit and delete buttons to edit and delete businesses respectively. The admin can display the deals/ coupons for each listing by clicking on the deals number and link in the respective rows. Adding a Business The admin clicks on the List Your Business Button to add a business. This directs the admin to the page with a form. All it takes to add a new business to the system is to complete the form. Select the Category and subcategory, then enter the Business Name, Contact , Website Address and Expiration date is required. Unlike the merchant section the admin can select the

21 -21- poster of the business to assign it to a registered member of the system. S/he can also set the listing to be featured or not without any package requirements. You can browse for a logo Editing & Deleting Businessses The admin can edit the business by clicking on the edit icon next to the business on the management. The admin is presented with a similar form to the add form where the admin can edit all the fields including category and subcategory of the business.

23 -23- Coupon/Deals Management Access the deals/ coupon management page from the menu bar. Click the deals link to open up the deals, hot deal and to export deals. The deals page displays all the coupons in the system, with the number of time each coupons has displayed and been printed. The coupons can be filtered by the businesses and expired coupons. Note each deal is listed with the VERIPAQ tracking code (this is a built in tool for authenticating the printed coupons coming from the portal. The merchant can further verify the status by visiting the widgets VERIPAQ page ) Adding Deals / Coupons Select deals >> add a deal link on the menu bar to add a deal. Similar to the business listing the admin is presented with a form to complete. As in the screen shot below, first a business is selected, then the promotion details. A picture can be added to each coupon, and a barcode can be uploaded as well. The barcode is only

24 -24- displayed after the print button is clicked in the coupon directory by the end users. The admin can also add a second security code to further secure coupons and deliver accurate prints. Take a note of the Numeric Savings Value field that is used to determine how much the buyer is saving when they add a deal to cart. Editing a business also presents the admin with a similar form as the one to the right and has the same requirements. Clicking on the delete icon will delete a coupon and its pictures of the server. Today's Deals Up to 20 hot deals appear in a carousel on the homepage for businesses with featured packages. To access this page select Deals >> Hot Deals from the admin navigation.

25 -25- Select the deals you want to appear and submit. The carousel below will reflect the deal. If no deals are selected the page home page carousel will not appear. Full Page Ads The full page ads are an additional feature for merchants with featured (premier) packages. Access this page from the Deals >> Full Page Ads drop down. The page presents a form to add a full page ad and lists ads in the system below for perusing. Simply completing the form and browsing for the image will add a file for a business. Note that each business can have only 1 Full Page Ad that can be linked to a landing page or the business' website The admin must delete an ad to add another for the business delete a special to add another for the business.

27 -27- User Management The membership management page displays all the members of the system. The admin logged in will not be displayed to prevent the admin from deleting this user. To access the admin profile the admin clicks on the my profile link. The members table displays the member s username number of listings and a link to get more detail on the number of listings. a search form is displayed above the table the admin can use this form to filter results or find a specific user in the system. Another useful too is the ability to sort the listings by their headers. Click on the header link to do this. by default new members are displayed on the top. Clicking on the listings header will enable the admin to see vendors who have listed in the system. Filter to get merchants only or other user types Clicking on the "Add a Member" link will bring up a form for the admin to add a new member into the system. A Screen shot is displayed. The admin can add a member to the system simply by completing the form presented. The required fields are username, password, name and . The username created must be a unique username. To prevent duplication the username is checked against the database in real time using ajax technology and a notification is presented if the username exists.

28 -28- To add a merchant the package field must be selected and the status must say active or free trial with an expiration that is ahead of the date. To add an admin user the ACCESS field must be changed to admin. you can do this also to change the default admin of the system. Add a new admin user, logout and login with this new user and then change the delete the admin presented with the system.

29 -29- You may review each member s details and listings from the membership page. Click on member details on the members page Reports The reporting tool enables the admin to access the performance of a campaign for each business. Login as an admin and click on the reports link at the top of the page. Select the business, the date range and click on the generate report button. A pie and bar chart is displayed below with the numbers. A detail print report can be generated in PDF format. The PDF is not stored on the server but must be saved on the computer or printed for archiving.

30 -30- Reviews New in COUPONPAQ V8 is the business rate and review module. Businesses can opt in or out of the ratings system. Access the administration of rating in they system from the menu bar. Here you will see a list of recent ratings.

31 -31- Select the business to filter above. You can edit the entire rating, review and merchant rebuttal by clicking on the edit icon. be Complete the form to edit the ratings/reviews. Note to delete the rating submit the button below.

32 -32- & Text Blast The admin can send s to all users who subscribe to receive mails in the system, or different user types of the system. Click on the Newsletter link to access the content editor enter a subject and compose the message. Click on the send button to send the newsletter. Newsletter is sent in HTML format, the message can be archived and reused at a later time.

33 -33- Similarly if Clickatell is integrated the admin can send a text message blast through their gateway to subscribers. Add clickatell gateway from the system setup page. Banner Ads The new COUPONPAQ V8 has 4 built in banners zones with the home page displaying 2 1 on the side and 1 below the page and the other pages displaying up to 4 banners. Banners on the site can be styled in the CSS stylesheets. Select Banner Ads >> Manage Zones to get started. The default page displays the banner zones and how many banners are in the zone Edit banners zones in the admin, select what type of ads is going to have, image, text or script ads. Select the option to show advertise link under each banners zone where a site visitor can read the advertise or media kit information associated with the zone.

34 -34- Click on Manage Banners to add and edit the banners to the zones. The page gives an overview of the banners and their performance. Select the Add Banners tab to add a banner. Here enter the name, select a zone will display the image field or text/script field to enter. Banners can be added to target areas and assigned to system users. Hit add banner button to submit.

38 -3- Merchant Guide Welcome to the merchant's guide of COUPONPAQ. COUPONPAQ V8 boasts a completely redesigned merchant interface and a simplified management area. A merchant is any one who registers and subscribe to a package added by the admin. Some merchants or advertisers advertise 1 or more businesses and manage them all from the new merchant suite Functions that can be performed from the merchant page includes managing added businesses and deals, adding and sending to subscribers. Adding or uploading a Full Page Ad -- only for subscribers with a featured package. Generating performance reports for businesses with a campaigns. Generating the embedding script to embed coupons on the merchants site and managing the merchant profile. This completes the admin documentation for COUPONPAQ V8. Visit for more options

39 -4- Advertising By default, new merchants/advertisers must register to access the merchant module (unless admin turns off merchant registration and provides alternate instructions). On the registration page the merchant selects a package creates a user id, agrees to the system agreement to sign up. Where payment is require the merchant will be directed to make a payment. All merchants have an inactive status until payment is received, except when the package is free. For free or reduced price trial packages the merchant will still be required to provide payment information before the account is activated. (the descriptive How it works and packages tabs can be edited by the admin) Note Some packages are featured and will give the subscriber some additional resources such as full page ads to their listing and being featured in a random merchant rotation and hot deals on the home page.

41 Business Management -6- Welcome to the newly redesigned merchant center. Here a merchant can get a quick overview of the campaign performance, manage businesses and deals or take advantage any of the built in marketing tools. Adding a Business To add a business or deal, click on the List Your Business & Deals button on the side. Businesses must be added before deals can be assigned to the business. The business information can be entered only once.

42 -7- Complete the form as show below to submit a business. After a business is added the merchant can edit the business information from the merchant center. A merchant with a featured package has a badge next to the name.

43 -8- All the merchants businesses are listed on the first page after login, the merchant can edit the business by clicking on the edit business listing and change all the information added including the category and subcategory.

44 -9- Coupon/ Deal Management The deals center displays all the coupons and deals added by the merchant. If a merchant has more than 1 business advertised, s/he can filter the deals per business. Each deal is listed with the VERIPAQ tracking code (this is a built in tool for authenticating the printed coupons coming from the portal. The merchant can further verify the status by visiting the widgets VERIPAQ page ) Expired coupons are highlighted here.

45 -10- Adding Deals To add a deal click on the list your business or deals on the side navigation bar. Completing the fields as shown in the screen shot will add the coupons to the portal and instantly become available for potential customers. Managing Coupons Each coupon can also be edited or deleted by clicking on their respective links. The same form as the add form will be presented to the merchant to edit the coupon.

46 -11- Full Page Ads These are added benefits for merchants who subscribe to a featured or premier package. The merchant can upload a large brochure type image to be displayed with their listings. Only one image can be uploaded at any given time. To upload an image select the business on the left and then browse your computer for the image, enter the web site you would like the clicker to be directed to and hit submit. one the bottom of the page the specials are listed there with their performance clicks. The merchant must delete the full page ads before s/he can add another.

47 -12- Management This tab displays all the subscribers in the portal who have chosen to receive s from the business. Merchants can now add their own subscribers from a store list or generate and embed a subscription form on other sites to gain subscribers. To send an the merchant simply selects the send mail tab, then complete the form to send.

48 -13- (click on the Embed tab for more details on embedding a form) Subscribers are listed below the add subscriber form. To the right of the screen is the WYSIWYG mailer. Select the business adds a subject and then composes and sends the using the content editor.

Reports The new redesigned reporting module now offers a better perspective on the business performance including the impressions. Impressions is simply how many times a business has been shown to the shopper. Although shoppers may not click on a business, the impressions help promote the brand and build brand equity. To generate a report, select a business, select the chart type and the range of dates, then submit. The business impressions clicks and total deals printed during that time is displayed. Note that deals also have a separate impressions tracking which may be higher than the business tracking

50 -15- Print and click reports can be exported to PDF dynamically. A pie and bar charts are dynamically generated to show the performance. The merchant can get actual print reports on the detail clicks by clicking on the PDF icon.

51 -16- Reviews Shoppers can now rate businesses from the main site. The shoppers are advised to be fair in the ratings, and to keep them fair their ratings are also rated by other shoppers. The merchant can opt out of receiving ratings for businesses. (to opt out visit the listing center, >>edit the business and check the disable ratings checkbox) The reviews page lists all reviews for the business. for a merchant/advertiser with multiple businesses, you can filter the reviews by the business. Merchants are allowed a rebuttal, hit the add comment link below the review to add a rebuttal. Note shoppers can still change their reviews so working with shoppers can help solve any complaints.

52 -17- Account Profile Merchants can manage their web profile by clicking on the Account Profile link at the side of the page and then making the necessary changes to the form as displayed below.

53 Widgets & Resources -18- The widget and resource area includes generators to embed the coupons on the other sites, a VERIPAQ widget that can be embedded on the merchant site for employees to track the coupon validity and a barcode generator. Embedding Deals To embed coupons, the merchant can select the business, the width and height of the frame that holds the coupon, the width and height of the coupon itself and the color properties for it. Then click on the generate button to generate the embedding code. A preview link is offered to see the design of the coupon.

54 -19- VERIPAQ As discussed earlier the VERIPAQ validation widget is used to authenticate the coupons. Coupons that are submitted to the merchant should have a veripaq barcode on it to be authentic. The barcode can further be verified using the VERIPAQ form, place this form on your site for employees to authenticate the coupons received. Please note that keeping this strict policy will also help to track a printed coupon as the VERIPAQ is only available on the print page.

58 -2- Overview Welcome to the Shopper's guide. For the shopper, COUPONPAQ is a dynamic mobile accessible web portal that lists and catalogues deals and coupons from various merchants and or the admin of the site. Shoppers can use the user friendly site architecture to locate and access deals for shopping. Once a deal is located the shopper can, Print immediately (if short on time). Add to the print cart to print after the browsing sessions. choosing the option will cut down on paper, and will allow the shopper to compare deals and get the best deal available for a product. Or save the deal to a coupon book to printed at a future time. (this option requires registration)

59 -3- A registered user can opt to receive s from merchants they find or the admin. If the system is text capable the shopper can also opt to receive deals via text. And it is as simple as that. your members will start saving in minutes and they will enjoy doing it. Getting Coupons & Deals The main search on the site uses a simple keyword search that brings up all businesses with deals that fall in that keyword criteria. The shopper can browse merchants or categories also. The area drop down allow the merchant to get deals in the area, areas are stored for future visit and new deals in that area is present through the session. Once a deal is located the shopper can, Print immediately (if short on time), add to the print cart to print after the browsing sessions. choosing the option will cut down on paper, and will allow the shopper to compare deals and get the best deal available for a product, or save the deal to a coupon book to printed at a future time. (this option requires registration)

60 -4- Web coupons are web only and come with a coupon code, the shopper can click on the coupon code to visit the merchants store and use the coupon code for savings It's essential for the shopper to click on the print links provided to print the deals, printing outside of the print pages will not print deals with the authentic codes accepted by the merchants. Deals can also be shared with friends and family using the shared option presented.

61 -5- Clicking on more info will direct the shopper to the details page with redemption instructions and more. After a browsing session, the shopper can access the print page by clicking on the savings cart link on any page. The print cart can be manipulate like any shopping cart to remove contents not needed. A shopper is allowed 2 prints before the cart is emptied. A search or results page can be viewed on a list/ map or grid display.

63 -7- Coupon book The coupon book is a very handy tool for shoppers. Its likely while browsing that a shopper will stumble across a deal for a future purchase, printing that deal may clutter the shopper's space or might be misplaced. This is electronic coupon book becomes useful. The shopper can select clip >> add to coupon book option to add any deal to the coupon book for future access. The coupon book requires a one-time registration. Access the coupon book from the Shoppers >> My Coupon book link at the top of the page. Deals can be removed from the coupon book just as it was added.

64 -8- Ratings & Reviews Peer to Peer rating system is one of the primary tools for the platform. A shopper can rate and review a business after attaining their services for other shopping peers. With the review system, the shopper's review is also rated by the peers to keep the system fair. Merchants can also respond to the review and may work with the shopper to enhance their experience. Note that reviews can be modified in the my account reviews tab.

65 -9- Subscriptions Shoppers can opt to receive s from merchants they want or from the system administrator. To subscribe to a business' deals, visit the business details page (click on the business name after a search), then click on join mailing list link as displayed below.

Account Management Clicking the shopper>> my account link or the profile tab directs to a form where the shopper can edit the web profile as displayed in the screenshot below. Usernames cannot be edited

67 -11- Mobile Browsing The mobile web app is a convenient way to access deals on the go. Mobile phones are detected automatically and redirected to the mobile web app. (the direct URL to the web app is yourwebsite.com/mobilecoupons.asp) It features a similar search and browsing as the main site and compliments it. After a deal is found the code can be copied and used for mobile shopping or the barcode showed to a cashier

68 -12- at a store. Merchants policies vary, so shoppers must check with the merchant before dashing out with it. Included is the convenient call and mapping feature. Getting Help A shopper can access the help/support page for answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) or to contact the portal administrators.
