14 Digital Library Portal s Reality extended services as dynamic linking are only starting to be implemented the seamless way from resource discovery to searching and to the information itself is still lacking, but there are progresses need of more navigation oriented approaches to facilitate resource discovery before searching

24 Conclusions There is a wide range of digital libraries and digital library activities in Germany. But there are still a lot of wishes or needs: better integration of existing collections and existing projects portals which offer a seamless access from searching to fulltext new approaches based on browsing and navigation

25 Conclusions more user-orientated approaches and digital libraries offering personalized views more cooperation between the players, especially between librarians and researchers is needed to build networked systems and networked resources which make all advantages and possibilities of digital libraries sensible to the users
