Flash-player-lite version: Acrobat Reader version: BIOS CMOS Upgrade Through Add-on and INI Files: This build has a separate BIOS CMOS Add-on for each platform containing the respective platform s latest BIOS and CMOS images (X50C and C50LE are updated with the latest BIOS) this Add-on can be installed through normal Add-on installation (Novell-addon-manager) and also through Wyse Enhanced SLE INI Files. Wyse RDP 7 Modifications: RDP bi-directional sound support. Ability to enable the use of local audio devices with remote applications is supported in Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows Server 2008 R2 with Remote Desktop Services Role installed. RDP NLA support. Other minor bug fixes. Notable GUI Redesign: System Information dialog box. The System Information dialog box is redesigned to show system information according to different information groups. It displays network interfaces in a drop-down list and dynamically queries and refreshes the GUI whenever a network interfaces state changes.

7 Release 11 SP1 Build User Administration dialog box. The User Administration dialog box is redesigned to combine the previous Thin Client Users and Password applets into a single dialog box. Changes in NTP Tab of Device Settings: The Synch button was removed as it is no longer needed; whenever NTP server entries are changed in the registry, the registry On Change action will now automatically trigger the NTP Server Sync.

8 4 Chapter 1 Support for Encoded INI File Password Fields for All Applications: This build does not accept plain passwords in INI files; all passwords must be base64 encoded (log in to the thin client, open XTerm, and then type regencode followed by the password in plain text). Wyse VDA Client Support for Wyse VDA Server v1.5: Wyse VDA Client v1.5 add-on supports Wyse VDA Server v1.5. ReadyMode Support for Wyse X50C Platform: With this build the Wyse X50C provides support for ReadyMode functionality with BIOS: 1.0G. You can use ReadyMode for easy login after thin client shut down. If the ReadyMode feature has been enabled (select the ReadyMode check box or use DisableReadyMode=No in the INI files - ReadyMode is disabled by default) and the thin client is shut down, the session ends, the power button LED is put in a state of OFF, and the thin client is placed in Standby mode to preserve power. Upon pressing the power button, the thin client exits Standby mode, and immediately prompts the user with the login dialog box. New Default Add-Ons in the Wyse Base Image: Cisco AnyConnect-Linux Add-on. VMware View Client is upgraded to version 4.6 (v4.6.0b366101). Additional Add-Ons Available: ELO_USB Touch Screen add-on. XORG_SWCURSOR add-on (enables software cursor on Wyse R class devices). Support for HAgent Auto Upgrades from WDM Server v 4.8.5: Auto upgrade for device HAgent feature is supported in the SLED11SP1 and current SLED11SP1MR builds. Additional Changes in this Release: DDC resolution is automatically set if no display setting is made in the INI files. Thin client devices correctly prompt for password when auto-login is enabled. Ericom PowerTerm correctly overrides the settings from the remote configuration filename. Proper unlocking for users occurs after changing the INI source option to Do not use INI files in the GUI. Mouse scrolling within an RDP session is properly consistent. Minor fixes related to drive mapping issues for ICA PN Agent. Encoding of all INI file passwords.

11 Release 11 SP1 Build Upgrading Upgrading steps are as follows (note that FTP upgrade options include no update, add-on only, image only, and base image & add-on): 1. At the server side, extract the Image_Upgrade.zip file to your image upgrade server (FTP, HTTP, or HTTPS). 2. At the client side, the image server details must be configured either through DHCP Options or by manually entering the server address using the INI and Upgrade Network Settings dialog box (Control Center > INI and Upgrade Settings applet). For details, see Administrators Guide: Wyse Enhanced SUSE Linux Enterprise Release 11 SP1. 3. After configuring the server details on the client, reboot the client device. For Delayed_Update Add-on Usage: 1. Install the Delayed_update add-on. 2. Enter the delayed update parameters into the FTP server path. 3. Reboot the client device. 4. After network connection, the delayed update parameters are downloaded to the client device, and then the image and add-on updates from the FTP server are downloaded. 5. After the updates are downloaded, a package icon is displayed to indicate the download is complete.

12 8 Chapter 1 Known Issues TIR55625: X50C - RDP sessions disconnect while playing media files through TCX Multimedia on Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 7. TIR56840: Fiber link network card interface displays eth1. TIR56844: Upon connecting to RemoteFX, the Windows Aero effect does not work. TIR56894: Video - Junk lines and grey patches appear after opening any window inside of an RDP session. TIR56897: TCX USB redirection - If a Microsoft Web cam is connected while in an RDP session (within 64-bit Windows XP Pro), an error message is displayed. TIR57503: TCX Issue on Z50S/D - Windows Media Player volume control is not functioning on a XenDesktop Windows 7 desktop. TIR57506: Bootorder INI parameter setting fails. TIR57575: Z50S/D hangs while playing Flash Player through Firefox Web browser. TIR57680: Not able to connect to a virtual machine that has RemoteFX enabled. TIR57698: ICA - When playing a media file (Mpeg1), if the Windows Media Player is minimized and maximized the video display is lost. TIR57718: R50LE - WLAN not connecting with a WUBR-507N(m)W adapter in build TIR57817: X50C - Device hangs with WLAN connectivity. TIR57841: VMware View issue - Two mouse pointers are displayed when a PCoIP session starts. One appears to be a local Wyse Linux Enhanced desktop pointer and the second appears to be a WMware View session (windows) pointer. TIR57842: The PowerButtonAction INI parameter functions properly, however, a dialog box displays prompting the user for instructions. TIR57882: X50L - WLAN disconnects after switching over to another access point (roaming). TIR58234: X50C: Synaptics driver crashes and causes Xserver to crash.

15 Release 11 SP1 Build BIOS Details Steps to update the BIOS manually: 1. Unzip the BIOS file and copy the extracted folder onto a bootable USB flash drive. 2. Boot the device from the USB flash drive (most C class and R class device users can also use the one time boot menu - press and hold the P key, select the USB drive option that is displayed for your BIOS version, and then press Enter). 3. Change directory to the respective BIOS folder. 4. Run the f.bat file, and when completed, reboot the device. 5. Enter the CMOS setup again and press the F9 key to load default configurations. 6. (Optional) Restore the boot order accordingly. 7. Press the F10 key to save changes and exit. 21 Release 11 SP1 Build Smart Card Support ActivCard is supported with: ICA and RDP clients on Windows 2003 Server (NOTE: Middleware used for testing ActivCard was ActivCard Gold Utility; reader used for testing was ActivCard USB Reader v3.0).
