4 1 Introduction 1.1 Definitions and Abbreviations Term/Abbreviation EHI HSP HSP-UT HW KIR SW Definition ETAS Help Desk International Hardware Service Pack HSP-Update Tool Hardware Known Issue Report For severe Problem Reports which occur after a release, ETAS has introduced the Known Issue Report to inform affected customer immediately. The current Known Issues of former versions can be found on the ETAS website: Software 2 Product Definition 2.1 Functions at a glance The Hardware Service Pack is a product for the firmware management on the ETAS hardware. This product consists of two components. HSP Update Tool Service Pack o LABCAR Hardware (LABCAR-FWP) o MCD Hardware (SP) The HSP Update Tool is the user Interface for the firmware update process. This tool enables an easy update of the firmware in the ETAS hardware and gives clear information on the current versions of the firmware contained in the hardware. The Service Pack contains the actual firmware, i. e. the files that will be downloaded to the hardware. These release notes are valid for the HSP MCD Hardware Service Pack. The content of this release notes, i.e. Chapter 3, can for each installed Service Pack version also be launched from the HSP Update Tool. 2.2 General Description System Prerequisites The following minimum system prerequisites have to be met: has to be installed. ECU adaption via 12 pin Erni and 7 pin JST connector Support of Service Based Bypass V2.1 and V3.1 when in FETK mode respectively connected to a ES89X. (min. SW requirements: ASCET V6.4.0 or INTECRIO V4.6.0) Support of Service Based Bypass V2.1 added. (SBB V3.1 was already available with initial version; min. SW requirements: ASCET V6.4.0 or INTECRIO V4.6.0) XETK-S20.1B ETK-S20.1 FETK-T1.0A Corrected Errors The following table contains all errors that have been corrected in this release. 7 3.2.3 Known Issues The following table contains known problems open for this release. Call ID Description Please assure that the ES581.4 device is disconnected when installing the driver. In case of connected device, the installation can fail without a clear message. Please disconnect the device and start the installation once again. CCP does not work if an old version of INCA i.e. V7.0.0 or older is used with HSP V and newer. INCA V7.1.x and newer works with HSP V and newer versions.
