1 Installation instructions for PX-Web This instruction is for how to install PX-Web 2012 R3 on a computer. Tip: When the installation is finished place your own database in the <installationdirectory>\resources\px\databases and visit the administration pages to generate the database description file and to make it visible for the end users. Prerequisites Make sure that the following components is installed and running properly o Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5 (with Service pack 1) o Internet Information Services 5.1 or greater (depends on the operation system version) Notice: To be able to install PX-Web it requires administrative rights to the computer.

2 Installing on IIS 5.1 (Windows XP) This instruction is for installing PX-Web as a virtual directory. Step 1 Extracting files Extract the PX-Web-2012R3.zip C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PXWeb Step 2 Configure IIS In the Internet Information Services Manager expand the Default Web Site and right click on the PXWeb folder. Select Properties.

3 Select the Directory tab and create a virtual directory by clicking the Create button. Select the ASP.NET tab and reassure that the ASP.NET version is set to 2.0 Step 3 Set rights Run the file below as an administrator C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PXWeb\set-rights-xp.bat

4 NOTE: If ASP.NET is configured to run under a different user account than ASPNET then you have to edit the set-rights-xp.bat file. Change ASPNET to right account. Example cacls C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PXWeb\setting.config /e /g %COMPUTERNAME%\NEW_ACCOUNT:f Step 4 Launch PX-Web In the Internet Information Services Manager right click on the Default.aspx file and select Browse. The Start page of PX-Web will appear. NOTE: To start the administration interface of PX-Web right click on the one of the aspx-pages in the admin folder and select Browse.

5 Installation on IIS 6 (Windows 2003 Server) This instruction is for how to install PX-Web directly under the default web site. Step 1 Extracting files Extract the PX-Web-2012R3.zip direct into the web root C:\Inetpub\wwwroot Step 2 Configure IIS In the Internet Information Services Manager right click on the application pool that runs the default web site and select Properties.

6 Select the Identity tab and make confirm that it runs under the Network Service account. Step 3 Set rights Run C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PXWeb\set-rights-2003.bat Step 4 Launch PX-Web Start your browser en type in the following address

7 Select FAO and No for Generate PX database and Language dependent. Then click on the Generate button. Type in the following address

8 Installation on IIS 7 or greater (Windows Vista, Windows 2008 Server and Windows 7) This instruction is for how to install PX-Web as new web site in IIS using the default HTTP port, 80. Step 1 Extracting files Extract the PX-Web-2012R3.zip to C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PXWeb Step 2 Configure IIS In the Internet Information Services Manager select the Default Web Site and stop it by clicking the stop button. Right click on Web Sites 1 and select to create a new web site. Set the name to px-web and set the path to C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PXWeb 1 Webbplatser in the image bellow.

9 Click OK to create the new site. A warning that says that the port binding is already assigned another web site may appear. If so is the case just confirmed with the Yes 2 button. Select the PX-Web Application Pool and select to view the Basic Settings tab and confirm that the ASP.NET version is set to 2.0 Double click on the Modules 3. 2 Ja in the image bellow. 3 Moduler in the image bellow.

10 Select to Add managed Module 4. As Name type in StateProviderModule and as Type select PCAxis.Web.Core.StateProvider.StateProviderModule. Confirm with the OK button. 4 Lägg till förvaltad modul in the image bellow.

11 Step 3 Set rights Run C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\PXWeb\set-rights.bat as an administrator by right clicking on the file in Explorer. Step 4 Launch PX-Web In the Internet Information Services Manager click on the Browse button when the px-web web site is selected. The Start page of PX-Web will appear. NOTE: To start the administration interface of PX-Web select the admin folder en then click on the Browse button.
