7 Select Web Server (IIS) 7 of 50

8 Select Add Features Select Next 8 of 50

9 Select.Net Framework of 50

10 Scroll down to Application Development 10 of 50

11 Select ASP.NET 3.5 Select Add Features 11 of 50

12 Select Application Initialization (optional but recommended for performance) Select Next 12 of 50

15 2 SQL Server 2016 Express Installation 2.1 Downloading the SQL Server Express Setup files Download ( ) and run the installer Click on Microsoft Corporation to check the Publisher and Certification Path. 15 of 50

16 Select View Certificate 16 of 50

17 Select Certification Path 17 of 50

18 If the Certification Path looks reasonable and the certificates are OK, select OK to close all the dialogs and then select Run. 18 of 50

19 Select Download Media so that you can re-use the setup files without downloading them all over again. 19 of 50

20 Select Express Advanced if you want the Advanced features (these features are not required by SAMLite). Then select Next 20 of 50

21 Wait for the download to complete. 21 of 50

22 Select Open Folder 22 of 50

23 Run SQLEXPR_x64_ENU.exe or SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe (if you downloaded the Express Advanced version). Click OK. 23 of 50

24 Open the folder and run SETUP.EXE 24 of 50

25 2.2 SQL Server 2016 Express Setup Select New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation 25 of 50

26 If you agree with the license terms select the checkbox and click Next. 26 of 50

27 Set the option as desired then select Next. 27 of 50

30 Set the directory paths as desired then select Next. 30 of 50

31 If you see the following error you will have to install the KB update. Ensure that your Windows installation is updated appropriately then try again (if you are using Windows Update you may have to run the update a number of times before Windows is updated enough). 31 of 50

32 Otherwise if the Feature Selection step goes fine you should see the following: Select Next unless you need to change things. 32 of 50

35 After this the Installation should proceed. 35 of 50

36 Wait till the Installation is complete. 36 of 50

39 Select Install SQL Management Tools, download the installer and run it Click on Microsoft Corporation to verify the Certificates, 39 of 50

40 Click View Certificate and Certification Path. 40 of 50

41 If the Publisher is Microsoft Corporation and the Certification Path looks reasonable and the certificates are OK then select OK to close all the dialogs, and select Run. 41 of 50

42 Select Install if you accept the conditions. 42 of 50

43 Wait until the installation is complete. 43 of 50

44 Select Close. SQL Server and Management Tools have now been installed. 3 Installing ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 Download the ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 installer from: Run the installer 44 of 50

45 Click on Microsoft Corporation to check the Publisher and Certification Path. Click on View Certificate 45 of 50

46 Select Certification Path. 46 of 50

47 If the Certification Path looks reasonable and the certificates are OK, select OK to close all the dialogs and then select Run. 47 of 50

48 Select Next If you accept the terms select the checkbox and select Next. 48 of 50
