1 How to install HDRestaurant CS(Client Server)? HDRestaurant is a feature-rich, easy to use Point of Sale billing, inventory, and accounting management software available for a 30 days FREE TRIAL.The client server version can be installed on PCs with different hardware/software configurations subject to fulfillment of the Basic System Requirements as mentioned below: 1. Hard Disk Space: 160 GB 2. RAM: 2GB 3. Operating System: Windows 7 professional, Windows 2008 Server, or Windows Net Framework 3.5 runtime 5. Internet Information Service (IIS) 6. Windows Installer 3.1 NOTE: Please note that the list of requirements specified above are not exhaustive, and we request you to visit the System Requirements page before proceeding with installation. The steps to install HDRestaurant Client-Server are as shown below: Installation of HDRestaurant Server 1. Click here to go to the download page. (Copy-paste into your browser if the link did not work) 2. Scroll down to HDRestaurant for multiple cash registers and click on Download HDRestaurant CS. 2 (i) 3. Install Server: The installation of server is different for windows XP and higher versions of windows. For Windows XP a. Go to downloads folder and double-click on HDRestaurant -Server-Setup.msi file b. Click on Run. c. Click on Next. Hyper Drive Information Technologies Private Limited Page 2

5 (ii) For Windows 7, 8 and Windows 10 Enable and configure IIS (Internet Information Service) Go to Control Panel. Click on Programs. Click on Turn Windows features on or off. Select Internet Information Service & expand it. Select Web Management Tools & expand it. Select IIS6 Management Compatibility & expand it. Check the IIS Metabase and IIS6 configuration compatibility checkbox. 7 d. Type cd / and click on enter key to go to root folder. e. You would now need to go to the location where you have saved the HDRestaurant -Server- Setup.msi that you downloaded. You would need to enter cd till you reach the desired folder. f. Enter the name of the file HDRestaurant-Server-Setup.msi and click on enter key g. Click on Next to start installation. 10 L. Change Folder Permissions for server Once the installation is complete, goto C:\inetpub folder, right click on wwwroot folder and click on Properties Go to Security tab and click on Edit Hyper Drive Information Technologies Private Limited Page 10

11 Click on Add. Enter Everyone and click on OK. Select Everyone and check the Allow checkbox against Full Control Click on OK m. Restart the World Wide Web Publishing service Hyper Drive Information Technologies Private Limited Page 11

12 Start the run command (Win + R) and enter services.msc. Click on OK. From the list of services, find World Wide Web Publishing. Hyper Drive Information Technologies Private Limited Page 12

13 Click on Restart Service toolbar button. Close the window. 2. Installation of HDRestaurant Client 1 1. Open a web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, and navigate to the client download page: Server's IP Address>/HDRestaurantServer/Home.aspx For e.g., 2. Double-click on the downloaded file 3. Enter the server s address as Http ://< Your Server's IP Address>/HDRestaurantServer/ For e.g., http: // /HDRestaurantserver 4. Click on OK. 5. Enter details for registration of the Client application and click on Register. 6. Enter the key received on your mail. 7. Enter details for registration of Server application and click on Register. 8. Enter the key received on your mail. 9. You can now use the application in trial mode.
