4 1. INTENDED USE The recorder of environmental conditions THBR is a system designer for monitoring environmental conditions for indoor applications. The system measures temperature related humidity of air and atmospheric pressure. All the meteorological data mentioned above are read and saved continuously by software. On the basis of measurements air density and saturation point temperature are calculated for every monitored room. Basic program functions: current (continuous) read and archiving of environmental parameters: atmospheric pressure, humidity, temperature, generating and archiving charts of humidity, temperature and atmospheric pressure versus time, the possibility of entering critical parameters of environmental conditions, which if exceeded the user is warned, printout of reports from measurements, language versions of GUI: Polish, English, German. Caution: 1. Due to the continual updates, there is a possibility of minor discrepancies between the contents of this manual and the program. 2. RADWAG takes no responsibility for the unexpected effects of program operation and possible consequences resulting from the wrong use of the program. 4

5 2. INSTALLATION 2.1. System requirements Minimal configuration: Processor INTEL or AMD 2000MHz or faster, 1 GB RAM, Graphic card SVGA (resolution at least 1024x768 pixels with 24-bits colour palette), Communication port USB, HD 50 GB or larger, Computer mouse, Keyboard, Colour monitor with resolution 1024x768, Operation System Windows XP/Vista/7, Environment Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0, Printer (A4), 2.2. Installation process In order to install the program put you installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. The THBR installation wizard should start automatically. If the installation needs to be started manually run program <THBR_Install_X.X.X.exe> in the main folder of the installation CD. After running the program the following dialogue window appears with the possibility of choosing the language to be used during the installation: Choose the language and press OK. 5

6 In further steps follow the instructions displayed in subsequent windows. Welcome window: In order to continue press Next. Window of creating shortcuts to the program: Options: according to your preferences tick choosen fields. In order to continue press Next. 6

8 Completing installation window: When the field View User Manual.PDF is ticked, after pressing button Finish a PDF manual to this program will be displayed. Caution: For the appropriate operation of the program the Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0. environment needs to be installed. The program installer check out the computer resources and in case of the lack of necessary components installs them automatically Program upgrade In case when a version of THBR program has already been installed and when a user starts the installation of a newer version of the program the installation process will proceed in a similar way. Follow all the appearing instructions according to point 2.2 of this manual. Notice! Before starting the installation program it is advisable to backup the folder where the previous version of the program has been installed. Default path: <C:\Program Files\RADWAG\THBR\>. 8

9 3. DEVICE SETUP The measurement unit of the environmental conditions recorder THBR is connected to a personal computer via interface USB through the cable accompanied the device. battery supply switch USB RS485 Measurement unit THBR There are modules of THB-2 sensors connected to the recorder. They perform measurements of temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. The modules of sensors communicate with the main unit via interface RS 485 so they need to be connected to the RS 485 socket as in the drawing below. 10 For the standard operation of the device the battery switch should be set to position OFF (to the right side). OFF Battery switch Connect the device to the computer after installing the software. In case of problems with establishing communication check the settings of communication port (see chapter 6.1). 4. STARTING PROGRAM The program can be run by pressing the shortcut icon on the desktop provided it has been created. You can also run the program from the Quick launch bar (option to choose during installation). 10

11 You can always run the program form the Windows START menu: START/Programs/RADWAG/THBR/THBR. 11

12 5. MAIN PROGRAM WINDOW The main program window is displayed after starting the program: 5.1. Description Title bar displays the name and program version and system buttons manipulating with windows. Function buttons accessing all options and program functions: Information window displays information on current measurements of environmental parameters. 12

13 Transparency slider sets the transparency ratio of the program window. Clock the place where the current date and time is displayed. Notice: If a computer cannot establish communication with the environmental module then the information window does not show any values. Check the correctness of the connection settings described in section 6.1, and the port USB Closing the program In order to close the program press button main window. in the title bar of the Closing the program is preceded by the dialogue window in order to confirm the action: 13

14 6. PROGRAM MENU The access to the program menu press button window. in the main program 6.1. 15 After setting the connection parameters press button in order to save the changes. Overlap Calibration is accessible only for RADWAG authorized services after entering the right password. 16 Fields: Archive measures - Ticking this field enables recording parameters in the program database. Interval [s] - The time during which measurements are saved in the database. Segregation time - Mode of segregating measurements in the database. Changing this option causes the system of creating files of database. Data can be segregated according to options: All together, Daily, Weekly, Monthly Notice: The change in segregating data causes creating a new empty database to which old measurements are not moved. Setting the threshold parameters allows for showing the reference levels for minimum and maximum values of measurements presented in the window together with the chart and report. The top and bottom limit of the parameter can be enabled/disabled by clicking on the right side of the choosen window. 17 Language Press button or enter the program menu according to section 5 of the manual and press button. In menu item Language you can set the GUI language, after choosing the language press Save and restart the program in order to apply the changes About the program Press button or enter the program menu according to section 6 of the manual and press button. Menu item About displays a window including name, version and license information concerning the program. Press Esc to close the window. 17

18 7. CHARTS In the window all measurements are displayed. In order to start the window with the chart of measurements refreshed in real time, press button in the main program window. Notice: After changing the bottom or top limit of the parameter described in section 6.1 of this manual restart the chart window to apply the change. 8. ARCHIVE In the window of archived measurements users have an insight into performed measurements of environmental parameters together with charts. Additionally reports from saved data can be printed. 18

19 In order to start the archive window press button window. in the main program In this window performed measurements can be viewed after selecting the appropriate database and pressing button. Then a progress bar is displayed. The button Print report is enabled after all measurements are subtracted from the archive. 19

21 Report menu In the window of reports, using the menu bar or item File, users can choose from advanced options. Menu items: Page Setup - Print Print Printout options e.g. type and size of paper, margins, page position. - Advanced printing - Printing the report on a default printer. Export Document - Exporting the report to a file in a choosen format (pdf, html, mht, rtf, xls, csv, txt, bmp, jpg, other). Send via - Sending the report by using one of a chosen file formats ( pdf, html, mht, rtf, xls, csv, txt, bmp, jpg, other). Exit - Closing the window of reports. 21

22 8.2. Measurements chart Overlap Chart allows for opening the window with measurements from the selected database. 22

23 8.3. Table of measurements On overlap Grid all measurements from the selected database are displayed The status of measurement can be displayed after ticking field. Measurement status: - Correct - Over the set threshold - Below the set threshold 23

24 In the bottom part of the window Count there is the number of all measurements from the selected database displayed. In the bottom part of the window there is the average value for each column displayed. On overlap Table the measurements can be sorted and filtered. Filtering Press button to choose an appropriate criterion of filtering. Sorting Sorting can be started after pressing the top bar of the column or from the menu. The sorting mode is signalled by the changing pictogram: Menu After right-clicking on a column an extended pop-up menu appears. 24

25 Items: Sort Ascending - Sort Descending - Clear Sorting - Sorts in ascending way of the given column, Sorts in descending way of the given column, Cancelling the sorting procedure for the given column, Group By This Column * - Groups the displayed rows according to the indicated column. Group By Box - Remove This Column Column Chooser - Enables the grouping field to which you can drag headings of columns, - Removes the column form displaying, Enables the adjustment window from which you can drag removed columns, Best Fit - Automatic column sizing, Filter Editor - Best Fit (all columns) Starts the filter wizard with advanced options, - Automatic sizing of all columns, Show All * - Shows grouped items, Hide All * Cancel Grouping * - - Hides grouped items, *) options enabled while grouping is active Deletes grouping, accessible after indicating a field of grouping. 25
