6 1.1 Product Overview 1 Product Description This device is a digital monitoring product designed for security. It has an embedded processor and operating system, combined with the latest technology in the IT field, such as video and audio compression / decompression, large capacity hard disk recording, TCP / IP network technology, solidified code in flash to make the system more stable. This device has features of DVR and DVS. 11 Instruction If there are several devices at the same place, remote controller will first choose a device according to the equipment number. 12 3 Installation and connection 3.1 Installation notes Check goods 1) Check to see if the equipment packing is damaged. Product packaging is made of protective materials which can cope with most transportation accidents. 2) Remove the equipment and hard disk plastic protective film and check for obvious damaging marks. 3) Open case and check for any loose parts on the front panel data lines, power lines, connection between fan power and the motherboard. 4) Note that the power supply cannot exceed the normal operating voltage range About panel and rear panel 1) There are detailed descriptions for all the functions of keys in the front panel and the various interfaces in the rear panel. 2) Carefully check the model number in front panel film to see whether it is consistent with the one you ordered. The label in rear panel is very important for our company's after-sales service. Please protect it well. 3.2 Install hard disk Install the hard disk. 11

16 4 Operation System Instruction 4.1 Boot / Login / Logout / Restart / Shutdown screen output / Shutdown Boot Remark: 1) Mare sure the access voltage matches with that of DVR and ensure the DVR GND correctly. 2) If power supply is not normal, DVR won t work properly, or even be damaged. Recommend to use regulated power supply. Specific Booting procedures: 1) Plug in the power, front-panel power indicator is red. 2) Open the boot panel power switch. The device starts, as shown below. Figure 4-1 For audio output, access an audio output device. If the host is powered, the device not equipped with a hard disk, or install the hard disk when the boot is not detected, after starting the video preview screen will display A hard disk is not hard to find in a dialogue box Login When the system is turned on and after system initialization, it will automatically display the login screen shown below. Figure 4-2 The defaulted User name is admin. Default password is blank(no characters). Just click the OK button to enter the DVR interface. 15

17 Valid password characters are numbers, letters, decimal points, * and #. Maximum 10 characters. Forgotten password? If you forgot your password, continuously press upward key 10 times. You will see restore default user. Press OK to enter the system. Then enter new password to replace the old one Logout Figure 4-3 To User log off process, right click to shortcut menu, select Exit System, click Logout to complete as shown below. The system will automatically logout the system within one minute of operation. When the operation starts again, re- enter user name and password Reboot If it is needed to restart the machine in process, click Reboot in the Figure4-5. 18 4.3 Boot Wizard When you first use the DVR, the system will automatically open the "Setup Wizard " interface guides after login, to lead user to the basic setups so that the unit is working properly. You can also right-click the mouse to enter and select Setup Wizard " setting (Figure 4-4 ) Mobile phone APP download Android client link and IOS client link is for Mobile APP download. See section 7.2 APP Installation Cloud ID: It s the DVR device network ID used for network surveillance. See section Network setup Enable Boot Wizard: When you click the box, the system will automatically open the "Setup Wizard" on the next boot. Click "Next" after setup.. Figure General setups (Time/Language) General setups as shown below (See section General setup ): Select PAL or NTSC standard according to your country TV signal standard. click "Next" button after setup completion. Figure Fast Network (one key to the Internet) 1) Click Auto.Config. The system is automatically configured to obtain an IP address automatic networking as shown below. (For more detail about the Network see section Network setup ). If network connection is successful, Network Status shows Healthy Network Cloud(P2P) shows ONLINE. 17

If PPPOE access, click manual configuration, enter PPPOE setups, check on, enter your user name and password then click OK Figure ) After setup is complete, the system will re-test online status. If this does not normally networking, operate according to the network status prompts. If networking is not needed, click "Next" Channel Mode Channel Mode sets analog and digital channel number and sets the automatic and AHD mode. Click Add IP camera, you can add IPC cameras. For specific methods see section Encode setup Figure 4-11 This operation like the Main stream Sub stream and Encode format can be set to achieve a key to copy all channels, which as shown below (See section Encode setup for more details) 18

(See section HDD Setup for more details) Figure 4-13 If you do not start the boot wizard, right click mouse button - > System Setup - > General Setup to cancel Boot Wizard checked check box. 4.4 Access analog cameras and IP Camera added Operation Procedure: A. To access analog camera if display images are not correct, perform the following: 1) Right Main Menu " Channel mode " enter the setup interface as shown below: Figure

21 2) The system default is auto mode. Automatic identification of high-definition analog camera access. If the camera does not recognize AHD or CVI Camera, click AHD or CVI mode. B. Add IP Camera. 1) IPC and the video recorder must be connected to a switch in the same network through Ethernet port. 2) For the channel mode, pull the slider between analog channel(a) and (IPC)digital channel. Example for a 16 channel DVR: If you need access to 10 analog cameras and 6 IPC, then pull the slider and if click OK after adjustment. Restarting will be prompted. Figure ) Log into the channel mode after restarting, click Add IP cameras into the video management interface,as shown below (or right main menu, select Video Manager to enter the video interface), imitate this for other channels. Video manager menu is not displayed in the main menu, only after adjustment of the number of channels of digital video recorders, video manager menu will appear after restarting. You can enter the video management interface to add IPC If you select a digital channel, the IP camera will be added to the last channel IPC connection can be mixed with conventional analog and AHD and TVI and CVI camera IPC supports 720P/960P1080P resolution supports onvif 2.0~2.4 Version.. If the system cannot automatically obtain an input format, use the " Channel mode" manual setup For access of ordinary analog and TVI camera, the system will automatically recognize the camera, if TVI doesn t appear, make sure it conforms to TVI 2.0 standards. The current system does not support TVI 1.0 standards. 4.5 Screen polling (Auto switch) Operation Procedure: 1) Right Main Menu " System Setup" - > " General Setup " " Screen Setup " to enter the interface, as shown below: Figure ) Set the polling time (Auto switch time) respectively, 2,3,4,5,8,10 seconds 3) After setup, check the " Auto Switch" is Enable, the mouse click ok " Auto switch " on automatic polling, select the screen switching time, the interface will start 21

23 switching channel page at the set time, there are two kinds of screen 1,4 switching mode " Auto switch " such as checking the "Skip Video Loss " If there are no channels displayed on the screen, the channel screen polling will automatically skip this screen 4.6 Electronic zoom Operation Procedure: 1) Double-click any video channel on the main interface or on the preview or playback interface, you can use an electronic zoom mode 2) Hold down the left mouse button to zoom in or out part of the area of the image 3) Double-click the left or middle mouse button to exit screen electronic amplification Double-click to enter video channel interface for electronic amplification image On the playback interface, Electronic zoom must be used when playing video and is not available when pausing playback 4.7 Main menu Introduction Press the MENU button or the right mouse button to popup the main menu. The main menu consists of the following three parts: Figure 4-18 In the menu bar, select the corresponding screen preview mode. In the menu bar, respectively: Split Screen, system Setup, Video playback, Video backup, Color adjust, Channel Mode, Video Management, PTZ control, Manual record, Volume, Setup wizard, Exit system can directly enter the corresponding menu page. After entering System Setup, it contains General setup, Channel setup, Record setup, Network setup, System admin. 4.8 Video playback Right click mouse to select the Video playback as shown below: 5 Min/ 10 Min/ 30Min: It means playing the last 5 minutes/10 minutes/30 minutes of video Manual Search: See Figure

24 Operation Procedure: Right click mouse to select the "Video Playback" "Manual search" to enter file search interface, as shown below: Select video dates, and color numbers represent video data Select the channels that need playback, with up to 4 channels to playback at the same time Select video type Select time range Click Search Playback time line:the place with color on the Time line, means having video data, you can click this color time line to choose playback Click time Search Select video files and double-click to play directly or click File Playback to play Select video files and click Backup to copy the video file to USB drive. Move the mouse to amplify the image within the rectangle scope. If the left mouse button is held down again it will exit the amplify status. Note: 1) Digital zoom must be used when playing video, and is not available when pausing playback; 2) For playback, if right mouse button is clicked, it will exit the playback interface. 4.9 Video Backup Operation Procedure: 1) Right click on the " Video Backup" as shown below: 23

25 Figure ) Click the mouse to select the channel Number (1~16). It needs to be backed up. To back up all channels select " All". 3) The mouse needs to check backup record mode, / manual / time / move / alarm, system all types of video defaulted. 4) To modify the start time required to backup video files, click "search". 5) After the retrieval is completed, check the backed-up file. If progress bar "Video Backup" is 100%, backup was successfull. If USB does not have enough space, backup will fail Check the files to be backed up Backup with USB device must be FAT32 format 4.10 Color Adjust Operation Procedure: 1) Mouse click and drag the control channel to adjust hue, brightness, saturation and contrast. 2) Adjust three states: Default, bright, soft, as shown: Figure 4-21 setup a channel parameter is completed, can be set via a button " Copy to " all channels If only one channel is set, double-click into the channel, right mouse click to select "Channel adjustment ". Click "Channel adjust" is defaulted into the first passage 4.11 Channel mode (See section 4.4) 4.12 PTZ Control PTZ control supports two modes: RS485 and UTC coaxial control RS485 Mode First connect the PTZ CAMERA and DVR's RS485 port with the positive wire to positive wire and negative wire to negative wire (Note: Do not reverse the positive and negative wires). 24

26 Then set the PTZ CAMERA and DVR with same Protocol, Baud rate, Address code. For example, PTZ CAMERA Protocol is Pelco-D, Baud rate is 2400, Address code is 1, and connect this PTZ CAMERA to DVR's Channel 1, the DVR setting will be shown as below: Right- click into the "System Setup" - > "Channel Setup" - > " PTZ Setup" Select Channel 1 Select RS485 Address code Protocol Baudrate Figure 4-22 Then click? into the PTZ control interface, See section UTC coaxial control In UTC coaxial control mode, PTZ camera must support UTC function, the camera through the coaxial cable connected to the DVR VIDEO IN, and set it as shown below: Select UTC PTZ control Figure 4-23 Operation Procedure: 1) Right-click the shortcut menu bar " PTZ Control" to enter its control interface as shown below: Figure ) To adjust PTZ direction, click the " Up / Down / Left / Right " arrow keys 3) Click the " zoom/focus/iris " to adjust image scaling/focus/ image brightness. The premise is PTZ camera can support Zoom, Focus and Iris 4) UTC Menu: When you connect PTC camera through the UTC coaxial control, click UTC MENU to set the camera's menu If you want to control one channel s PTZ, double-click into the channel, right mouse click to select "PTZ Control". Click " PTZ Control" is defaulted to enter the first channel. 25

27 For example, to control the third channel PTZ, then double click on the third channel, let it display full screen, then right click the mouse to choose PTZ Control To call a preset Operation Procedure: 1) Right- click "System Setup" - > "Channel Setup" - > " PTZ Setup " : 2) Click "? Only one channel is set by operation above, if you want to cruise another channel, choose "Copy to All" and operate one-button add Record function Manual Record Operation Procedure: 1) Left-click on the shortcut menu bar "Manual Record" to enter the setup interface shown below: Figure ) Mouse click to select the required video channel. NOTE: 1) Currently, mobile APP support Chinese, English, German, French, Russian, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Turkish and other languages, the language on APP is the same as that on mobile phone system. 2) Support Android and IOS mobile system (Requires IOS 8.0 or later. Device information will be stored on the server after login. When login the account in another mobile phone, the added device will be displayed automatically, no need to add again.
