3 Overview Checklist Entry is the main data entry interface for the Relius Documents ASP system. The data that is collected within this program is used primarily to build documents, but it can also be used to feed external systems for purposes other than document generation. This guide will provide details regarding the general functionality of the Checklist Entry program and the ways in which users can navigate through a standard data entry session 3
4 Question and Answer Data is entered within the Checklist Entry program via a question and answer format. All questions are displayed within what will hereto be referred to as the Question pane. Figure 1 There are three different types of questions that can be displayed within the Question Pane: Single-select available responses will be represented by a radio button. Multi-select available responses will be represented by a checkbox. Insert Only available responses will be represented by a text box. There are four different ways in which questions can be answered: Mouse-click position the cursor within the radio button or checkbox corresponding to the answer you wish to select and click to make the selections. In the case of a text box, click within the text box and type in the desired text. Click on the response again to deselect the answer. Any sub-selections that are tied to the deselected response will also be removed. Tab and spacebar use the tab key to place focus on the desired response and press the spacebar to select the corresponding radio button or checkbox. You may also use the tab key to place focus within a text box. To deselect an answer, place focus on the response and press the spacebar. Any sub-selections that are tied to the deselected response will also be removed. When using this selection method to answer singleselect question types, the system will automatically bring you to the next enabled question in the checklist. For any other question type, press the Enter key to proceed to the next enabled question in the checklist. 4
5 Letter and number keys you can select radio buttons and checkboxes for the current question in focus by pressing the letter or number key corresponding to the desired response. For example, when viewing question 1.1 with available responses of w and x, you can select the x response by pressing the X key on your keyboard. View Commentary & View Exclusion Logic Checklist Entry is equipped with a feature that allows you to view any pre-defined commentary or exclusion logic that may be associated with a particular question. Commentary can be defined as additional information that may help you answer the current question being viewed. Exclusion logic can be defined as the combination of checklist answers (or non-answers) that will disable responses for the current question being viewed. When either of these options are available, a button will be provided in the bottom right of the group box for the current question being viewed. Figure 2 5
6 View Commentary use this button to see the commentary that has been associated with the current question. Commentary is displayed within the Question Commentary dialog box. Note that all preview documents will feature a watermark that is intended to denote that the document is to be used for preview purposes only. Doc Editor use this button to modify any document that is capable of being generated from the current checklist within the Doc Editor feature. The system will generate the document you choose to modify based on the current set of checklist answers and display the document within a specialized version of Microsoft Word. Note that this toolbar button will only be enabled when your system administrator has granted you rights to the Doc Editor feature. In addition, use of the Doc Editor requires that you own your own licensed version of Microsoft Word 2010, 2013, or 2016 to be installed on the current workstation. You will have to unlock the checklist before you can go back in. Help use this button to view the Checklist Entry Quick Start Guide. If a data format error is found, you will be presented with an error message at that time. However, in some cases data may be applied to the checklist externally, such as via the Data Import process. The data format error feature of the Checklist Review function is intended to catch any invalid formats that may have been entered into certain designated fields in such as manner.
