Welcome to the Reports lesson using PQRS. Click Continue to proceed. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 2 of 36
The PQRS Reports screen enables users to generate reports containing statistical information on providers enrolled in the PQRS Registry. The PQRS Report details provider reporting and performance rate statistics for applied measures within a specific year. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 3 of 36
The PQRS Permissions must be configured in the Security Manager for the applicable users. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 4 of 36
With the Clinical Dashboard application opened, the PQRS module may be accessed from the PQRS Registration and Utilization control on the Clinical Dashboard; OR... Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 5 of 36
Click the PQRS Icon on the Administration group. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 6 of 36
The PQRS module opens consisting of a Reporting Year field and the Navigation Bar. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 7 of 36
To begin, click the down arrow on the reporting year field. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 8 of 36
Select from the reporting years configured by the Pulse Product Department. Your system will be updated as CMS releases the new year's measures and groups. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 9 of 36
Now that you have selected the reporting year, click the Dashboard item on the Navigation Bar. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 10 of 36
Click the flashlight button on the toolbar to locate a provider. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 11 of 36
Double-click on the desired provider from the list. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 12 of 36
The dashboard displays the Tee Chart area for the selected reporting year. Click the radio button for the Individual Measures. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 13 of 36
Providers must reach or exceed the threshold of 80% eligible patients reported in order to meet the submission requirements for each measure. Measures meeting the reporting submission requirement are colored green. Measures not meeting the reporting submission requirement are colored red and a visible indicator displays the current reporting percentage (based on the number of eligible patients). Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 14 of 36
Let's look at what the Group Measures graph looks like. Click the Group Measures radio button. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 15 of 36
And the Group Measures assigned to the provider display. From here, select Reports from the Navigation Bar. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 16 of 36
The PQRS Report Window opens consisting of a toolbar, filter criteria, and the preview pane. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 17 of 36
Click the down arrow button to open the Enrolled Providers list. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 18 of 36
Select the desired provider or select all and click OK. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 19 of 36
Use the Drop Down Arrows to open the menu selections for the Individual Measures, Group Measures, and Electronic Prescribing measures. Select from the available options to include in the final report. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 20 of 36
Check the desired Print Display options. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 21 of 36
Now you can click the Print Preview button to preview the report, or the other available options include: Print - which will print the report to your windows default printer, Erase - which will clear your previous selections allowing you to start over, or Exit. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 22 of 36
For this example, we will preview our report by selecting the Print Preview button. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 23 of 36
And the report appears in the preview pane. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 24 of 36
The report displays the Reporting Statistics and the Performance Statistics for each measure and measure group selected in the filter criteria section. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 25 of 36
Several toolbar buttons exist to affect the print preview and are documented in the course companion document. A few of the more notable are: Save - which allows you to save a copy of your report, Quick Print - which will print the report to your windows default printer, and Export - which allows you to export the report in the desired format. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 26 of 36
Once complete, click the Exit button. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 27 of 36
After review the statistics and reports and completing the measure reporting, you will submit the data to the Pulse PQRS Registry. Click the Administration item on the Navigation Bar. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 28 of 36
Select the Send to Registry item. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 29 of 36
Once again, select the flashlight icon to reach the provider selection window. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 30 of 36
And select the desired provider by double-clicking on the provider name. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 31 of 36
Select the Measure Type (Individual or Group). For this example, we will use the Individual Measure type. Note: All assigned measures are selected by default. Now, click the Upload button to submit the data to the Pulse PQRS Registry. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 32 of 36
A dialog "ALERT" box will appear for each measure that did not meet the minimum report rate (you may see different Alerts such as these). Either click No to stop the upload and return to the previous actions of applying measures, or click Yes to continue uploading the data. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 33 of 36
Note: While users can submit reported measure data to the Pulse PQRS Registry database at any time, Pulse only transmits the received data to CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) once a year. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 34 of 36
Now you could upload the measure groups and Electronic Prescription Measures for this provider in the same manner. When complete, click the windows close button. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 35 of 36
You are now familiar with viewing statistics and reports and uploading data in the PQRS module. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 36 of 36
