3 Purpose The purpose of this document is to provide the detailed steps necessary to capture and restore an AFHCAN Telehealth Cart image to and from the Paragon Backup Capsule. Audience This document applies to persons who work in the Information Technology department within an organization and have a basic working knowledge of Windows XP. Scope The AFHCAN Telehealth Cart should be imaged in accordance with SWP-0036 AFHCAN Telehealth Cart Imaging and Software Configuration. Because of the many steps involved in imaging a computer, AFHCAN used Paragon Software to create a backup capsule which allows the technician to quickly capture a configured image and deploy that image in an emergency thereby reducing the amount of time needed to restore a cart to production ready status. This backup capsule is not visible from Windows Explorer. This document details the necessary steps to capture a configured image of an AFHCAN Telehealth Cart and the successful restoral of the configured image for both a V3 cart using Paragon Software v7.0, and a V4 cart using Paragon Software v8.5. It is important to note that this process cannot be done remotely. Additional Resources SWP-0036 AFHCAN Telehealth Cart Imaging and Software Configuration Capturing the AFHCAN Telehealth Cart Image Using Paragon Software v7.0 Once an AFHCAN Telehealth Cart has been successfully imaged and configured, but before the installation of the tconsult Cart Client and Update Client software, the technician should take a few minutes to capture the configured image. This section details those steps necessary to successfully capture that image. 1. Logon as SetupUser Page 2 of 20

5 4. Select Partition from the File Menu, and click on Create an image of partition. Figure 3 Creating an Image of the Hard Disk 5. Uncheck both Split image and Set names automatically. Use the Drop-down arrow to the right of the word Drive to select the Backup Capsule (Hdd0/Partition2). Enter a name for the Image File, then click OK. 6 6. Click Apply in the upper left corner of the Toolbar. Figure 5 Applying the Action 7. Click on Yes to apply the changes. Figure 6 Applying the Changes Restoring the AFHCAN Telehealth Cart Image Using Paragon Software v7.0 Should it ever be necessary to re-image the CPU of the AFHCAN Telehealth Cart, having captured an image of a configured cart will reduce the amount of time necessary to recover the CPU to a state where the tconsult software is ready to be installed. 1. 7 Figure 7 - Opening the Deployment Manager 3. Highlight the Partition to be restored, for example Primary C:, then select Partition from the File Menu, and click on Restore hard disk from partition. Figure 8 - Selecting the Drive Partition 4. Click on the drop down arrow to the right of the Look in and select Non mounted partitions. Page 6 of 20
8 Figure 9 Selecting the Non Mounted Partitions 4. Double-click on Hdd 0\Partition 2 to expand the list of available images and highlight the image that has been configured. Click on Open. Figure 10 Selecting the Image 5. If the C:\drive has been selected to be restored, click Yes to the warning about restoring to a bootable partition. Figure 11 Warning Dialog Box One 6. Though the process is the same, the overall look and feel is a bit different than v Logon as SetupUser 2. 13 6. Remove the checkmarks from Set image file names automatically and Enable image splitting, then click on Next. Figure 21 Changing Backup Image Options 7. 14 8. Enter a name that is indicative of the image and then click on Next. Figure 23 Naming the Image File 9. The comment field is normally left blank, but the technician can enter information here if desired. Figure 24 Comment Field 10. A summary window will open. Review, and if any changes are needed, click the Back button to make the change. If no changes are needed, then click on Next. Page 13 of 20
