2 1. Install Global-Net 1.1 Windows Copy Global-Net_2.0d.zip to your disk. (Ex. C:\) Extract the file and open the directory Global-Net_2.0d. 3 1.2.3 Install wxpython package The suggested version of the wxpython library is or above. Download the wxpython rpm files code fc2_py2.3.i386.rpm?download k2-unicode fc2_py2.3.i386.rpm?download Login terminal as root. Type rpm ivh wxpython-common-gtk2-unicode fc2_py2.3.i386.rpm and next type rpm ivh wxpython2.5-gtk2-unicode fc2_py2.3.i386.rpm Install Copy Global-Net_2.0d.tar.gz to your home directory. Type tar xzvf Global-Net_2.0d.tar.gz Move to the directory of Global-Net_2.0d. Type python launch.py 1.3 Linux (Other distribution) Make sure the version of Python is 2.3+ Install wxpython package or above 1.4 Mac OS Copy Global-Net_2.0d_mac.tar.gz to your disk. Extract the file with Stufflt Expander and open the directory Global-Net_2.0d. Double-click launch 1.5 Other Platform Other Unix-like operation systems or Linux distributions may be 3

When you double-click the default IP address or click Setting, you could see the status under the bottom of this window. The message means that the default IP address is not in the same subnet. You must change the IP address on the IP text field. Assume that we assign to the disk array. Type new IP address in IP text field and press Save. Double-click the new IP address again, and you could see the text Pulling is successful. Meanwhile you could select the new IP address and click Add button. Finally, you could click Close button. 4

5 If you d like to set another IP address of the disk array, change the DHCP option to enable and click Save button. After a few seconds, you ll see a new IP address appeared in ListBox. 5

By this way, if the disk array reboot next time, the disk array will keep this IP

6 Double-click the IP address again, and you could see the IP information on the right part. Meanwhile, you will see the DHCP option is to be set to disable. By this way, if the disk array reboot next time, the disk array will keep this IP address. Unless you need to assign another IP address of the disk array, you could change the 6

7 DHCP option again. Click Add and close this window. 7
