3 1 Disclaimer The release notes are aimed at a technical audience with knowledge of the general architecture and functionality of Swisscom Sharespace and basic understanding of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 and the deployment process of SharePoint 2013 Add-Ins. Additional information can be found within the Swisscom Sharespace Installation Guide. 2 Requirements Swisscom Sharespace 1.40 requires that SharePoint 2013 products is installed and fully patched on the environment. Information on updates for SharePoint Server 2013 can be found here: 3 Upgrade Notes On Premise The following steps don t concern SharePoint online-users. They only need to be applied by On Premise customers. Release 1.38: User profile property MyLinks The following user profile property needs to be created (see installation guide for more detailed info): Property Value Name Display Name Type SCI-MyLinks MyLinks String (Single Value) Length 3000 Default User Profile Subtype Policy Setting Default Privacy Setting User can override Allow users to edit values for this property Optional Everyone After creating the property, run the following PowerShell script to move existing links to the new property: \\donald.corproot.net\dfs\release\sharespace\stable\updatemylinkswithquicklinks.ps1 Dok-ID: releasenotes_swisscom_sharespace_1.45.docx 3/5

4 Important! Release 1.39: Database migration Release 1.39 required a database migration. Read the following instructions carefully in order to prevent data loss, if you are upgrading from an older version. Before you install the update, some data needs to be exported. It will be imported again when the database migration has been completed. 1. Change the connection strings from localhost to your source and target database in the file Swisscom.Sharespace.Data.RoleMigration.exe.config, which is located in the root folder of the migration tool 2. Start the migration tool. 3. Press the E -key to export the data. This creates two json-files in the current folder. If the files haven t been created, please try again. Contact Sharespace support, if this doesn t solve the issue. 4. Install the new version of Swisscom Sharespace. 5. When the Setup is completed, run the migration tool again. 6. Press I to start the import. 7. Your data is now migrated and Swisscom Sharespace is ready to be used again. 8. After executing the migration tool, open each workspace configuration and save it in order to refresh it to work with the new database scheme. Further information on how to install or upgrade Swisscom Sharespace can be found in the Swisscom Sharespace Installation Guide. Release 1.40: Update Sharespace APP Upload and trust the new APP-Version contained in the package. Important! Release 1.45: License Count/User Blocking Release 1.45 introduces blocking for unlicensed users. Admins/Consultants need to make sure, the values for licensed Users, IsSwisscomCustomer and tenant state (2=active, no trial) are set accordingly in the tenant database.
