1 Getting Started Avid One Archive is a powerful archive solution that lets you archive Interplay Production assets in OP-1a format. One Archive uses MediaCentral UX to perform all archive and restore workflows. One Archive is installed on a single server. The required SQL Server database can run on the One Archive server or on its own database server. Installing One Archive, as described in this guide, requires a Windows operating system. This chapter describes: One Archive Overview Hardware Recommendations Installation Overview Recommendation for Virus Scanners (Optional) Configuring the Database Server One Archive Requirements One Archive Overview Installing One Archive provides you with the processes used for archiving Interplay Production assets to One Archive and restoring archived assets back to Interplay Production. All archive and restore actions are performed in MediaCentral UX. One Archive integration with MediaCentral UX requires separate installation and configuration using the MAM Connector. For more information, see Configuring One Archive for Use with MediaCentral UX on page 49. A full setup includes the following products: Avid One Archive v1.1 Avid Interplay Production, Interplay Web Services, and Interplay Production Media Services v3.2 or higher Avid MediaCentral Platform Services (MCS) v2.10.x including MAM Connector v2.10.x One Archive Basic Features One Archive provides the following basic features: Archive and Restore workflows for master clips, subclips, and sequences Assets are archived as standard OP-1a MXF files (Optional) Integration with third-party HSM vendors - Oracle DIVArchive - Quantum StorNext - SGL FlashNet - Spectra BlackPearl

One Archive Overview Support of disk-only configuration without HSM Support of partial restore of media files Full integration into MediaCentral UX Automatic proxy video generation of archived assets for playback in MediaCentral UX One Archive Processes One Archive provides the following processes: Process Auto Archive Asset (PAM_AUTO_ARCHIVE) Archive Asset(s) (PAM_ARCHIVE_ASSETS) Archive Masterclip (PAM2MAM_MASTERCLIP) Archive Subclip (PAM2MAM_SUBCLIP) Archive Sequence (PAM2MAM_SEQUENCE) Create EDL from Sequence Object (PAM_CREATE_EDL_FROM_ SEQUENCE_OBJECT) Description Archives Interplay Production assets that are pasted into the Auto Archive folder. For each pasted asset, one Auto Archive process is started. The process evaluates the type of the pasted asset and triggers the corresponding archive process: Archive Masterclip, Archive Subclip, or Archive Sequence. Archives multiple Interplay Production assets at once to One Archive. The business process is initiated in Avid MediaCentral UX when a user selects multiple assets and then selects the process from the Actions menu. The process evaluates the type of each attached asset and triggers for each asset the corresponding archive process: Archive Masterclip, Archive Subclip, or Archive Sequence. Archives a master clip from Interplay Production in a One Archive system. The business process is initiated in Avid MediaCentral UX. The process uses the PAM2MAM business process as a sub-process to archive the master clip. Archives a subclip from Interplay Production in a One Archive system. As a subclip can only exist with its parent master clip, the master clip is archived, too. The business process is initiated in Avid MediaCentral UX. The process uses the PAM2MAM business process as a sub-process to archive the master clip and the PAM_IMPORT_SUBCLIP business process as a sub-process to archive the subclip. Archives a sequence from Interplay Production in a One Archive system. As a sequence is only valid with its related master clips, the master clips are archived, too. The business process is initiated in Avid MediaCentral UX. The process uses the PAM2MAM business process as a sub-process to archive master clips. Creates an EDL asset based on an Interplay Production sequence that is archived to One Archive. 11

Hardware Recommendations Process Restore Asset(s) (PAM_RESTORE_ASSETS) Restore Media from Archive (PAM_RESTORE) Description Restores assets that have been archived (from Interplay Production to One Archive) back to Interplay Production. The process supports the following assets: Master clips (asset type ARCHIVED_MASTERCLIP, created by the Archive Masterclip process) Subclip objects (asset type ARCHIVED_SUBCLIP, created by the Archive Subclip process) Sequence objects (asset type ARCHIVED_SEQUENCE, created by the Archive Sequence process) The process checks for the existence of formerly imported Interplay Production subclips and makes sure subclips are transferred if the user has chosen the appropriate option. Restores the essence of Interplay Production sequences, master clips, and subclips from One Archive. It is started as a technical sub-process of the Restore Assets process but can also be initiated by users in Avid MediaCentral UX on a selected Interplay Production asset. For additional information, see One Archive Basic Concepts on page 17. One Archive Limitations One Archive has the following limitations: All One Archive services are installed on a single server. Multiple Interplay Production systems can be connected if the systems are connected in an MCS multi-zone setup. For information on how to set up a multi-zone environment, see the Avid MediaCentral UX Administration Guide. Hardware Recommendations n One Archive runs on commodity IT hardware. All host servers for One Archive Services are Intel/ Windows servers. This chapter recommends hardware for One Archive installations. Any server type that is supported by the database is acceptable as a database server, provided it offers sufficient performance. A final hardware configuration recommendation requires details about the number of users, ingests, imports, transfers, transcodings, and exports. Avid recommends the following basic parameters for servers. Operating System The entire One Archive backend is available for: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 or Microsoft Windows Server

Hardware Recommendations The database can be hosted on any operating system supported by the selected database: Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Express Edition Service Pack 1 (recommended when installed on the One Archive server), or Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1, or Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 2 One Archive Server HP DL360p G8 Two 8-Core Intel Xeon E with 2 GHz 32 GB RAM 2* 1 TB 3.5" SATA HDD enterprise class rpm Mirrored System Disk (150 GB) Dual 1 GBit/s TCP/IP Network Adapter Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Express SP1 (Optional) Database Server HP DL360p G8 Two 8-Core Intel Xeon E with 2 GHz 32 GB RAM 2* 1 TB 3.5" SATA HDD enterprise class rpm Mirrored System Disk (150 GB) RAID for database storage (750 GB) Dual 1 GBit/s TCP/IP Network Adapter Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Standard SP1 n MediaCentral Playback Service (MCPS) HP DL360p G8 Two 8-Core Intel Xeon E with 2 GHz 64 GB RAM 2* HP 500 GB 6G SAS 7.2K 2.5in HDD (system drive) HP Ethernet 1GbE 4P 331 FLR FIO Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5 incl. support contract For the latest information on the MediaCentral Platform Services, see the documentation available from the MediaCentral Platform Services page of the Avid Knowledge Base. Browse Online Storage Disk-Based IT storage (SAN or NAS) Capacity depends on the amount of content ingested File system level access required for the One Archive server 13

Installation Overview Installation Overview The following main steps are required when installing One Archive: 1. Comply with the installation requirements and prerequisites for the One Archive installation. For more information, see the following sections: - Recommendation for Virus Scanners on page 14 - (Optional) Configuring the Database Server on page 15 - One Archive Requirements on page Install Avid Interplay Access on the One Archive server. See the Avid Interplay Production Software Installation and Configuration Guide. 3. Install and configure the ISIS/NEXIS Client Manager to connect to shared storage on the One Archive server. Mount all needed workspaces. In doing so, use the One Archive service account. 4. Obtain the One Archive installer. For more information, see Obtaining the One Archive Installer on page Install One Archive. For more information, see Running the One Archive Installer on page Activate your One Archive license. For more information, see Activating the License on page Configure MCPS. For more information, see Configuring MCPS on the MCS Server on page Configure One Archive for use with MediaCentral UX. For more information, see Configuring One Archive in MediaCentral UX on page Configure One Archive processes. For more information, see Configuring One Archive Processes on page (Optional) If you want to connect an additional Interplay Production system to One Archive, enhance the One Archive configuration. For additional information, see Connecting Additional Interplay Production Systems on page 71. Recommendation for Virus Scanners One Archive is tested in a secure environment with a virus scanner enabled (Symantec Endpoint Protection v12.1 with latest updates). n Because of potential performance issues, some directories on the One Archive server should be excluded from real-time scans. The following list of directories that should be excluded from real-time scans is only a recommendation to maximize security and minimize impact on the system and users. Temporary directories in the System Workspace directory such as Video Analysis, Export targets, and Import directories. - Video analysis results are keyframes, which do not need to be scanned in real time. - Export files should be scanned on the client machine that accesses the files. 14

(Optional) Configuring the Database Server - Import directories should only contain files that were delivered from secured, previously scanned drives. The System Archive directory should not be scanned in real time. Scans should be scheduled during the night, for example, to minimize impact on users. All files that are added to the System Archive directory should be scanned on the source device before they are saved to the One Archive system. Every virus scan impacts performance, but the proper configuration can minimize the impact on the system. (Optional) Configuring the Database Server One Archive requires a database. Avid recommends installing Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Express Edition with Service Pack 1 on the One Archive server. Note the following limitations of the MS SQL Server Express Edition: Maximum 4 GB of memory Up to 4 cores on a single CPU Maximum DB size of 10 GB If you install the database on a dedicated database server, One Archive also supports: Microsoft SQL Server 2014 with Service Pack 2 Microsoft SQL Server 2016 with Service Pack 1 n During the installation of the MS-SQL Database server, the following issues must be considered: The Fulltext Option of the MS-SQL Database must be activated. The name and password of the database system administrator must been known. The TCP port for SQL Server must be enabled in the Windows firewall. Typically, SQL Server uses TCP port When installing Microsoft SQL Server, the server collation must be set to Latin1_General_CI_AI. If the collation is different, the One Archive installation fails. For more information, see the following documents: Interplay MAM Installation Manual MS SQL Server 2014 Interplay MAM Installation Manual MS SQL Server 2016 Interplay MAM Installation Manual MS SQL Server 2016 Express Edition 15

One Archive Requirements One Archive Requirements Perform the following operations when you install One Archive: Prepare one or two Windows shares for files handled by One Archive. The shares should reside on a very fast, very large, and very reliable storage system. The paths of the shares must be entered when installing the AssetManagement.Core package: - System Archive Directory: The folder is used to store all media files, including HiRes video files, proxy files, thumbnails, and keyframe sets. - System Workspace Directory: The folder is used to store temporary data. For example, it contains the folders monitored by WatchFolder services or files uploaded in the context of a business process. If you want to use a single share to store all files, you must use different subfolders within the share. For the One Archive installer to be able to see domain names and user accounts, enable the Computer Browser Service, set it to automatic, and make sure that it is started. On Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 this service is disabled by default. To avoid the error An established connection is aborted by the software in your host machine, change the network configuration of Windows Server 2012 R2. Enable IPv6 by selecting the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) check box in the Properties of your Network Adapter. Create a domain user that is used to run the One Archive Control Center and One Archive Control Service web services. Avid recommends using the following credentials: - Account name: mam_service - Password: Avid123 Add the account to the Administrators group on the One Archive backend server. Create a user group in your Active Directory domain and assign all users who have administrative permissions for the One Archive system to this group. Avid recommends naming the group MAM_Administrators. If HID-compliant touch screen is enabled under Windows 8.1, the GUI of One Archive Control Center might be distorted. To avoid this, disable the HID-compliant touch screen on each client machine (Control Panel > Device Manager > Human Interface Devices). If you want to integrate with a third-party Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) system, separate configuration might be required on the HSM system. Refer to your HSM vendor s documentation for details. Before proceeding with the One Archive installation, make sure to obtain the required HSM credentials and access information. Note that a separate license is required for each HSM system to be used with One Archive. 16

2 One Archive Basic Concepts The following topics provide information on basic concepts of the business processes provided by One Archive: Archiving Master Clips Archiving Subclips Archiving Sequences Archiving Assets Creating EDL from Sequence Object Restoring Assets For additional information, see the One Archive Processes Reference. Archiving Master Clips Archiving Master Clips A master clip can only exist once in the archive. If a master clip is already archived, any additional archiving action will lead to an update of the metadata. The archived media file will not be changed at all. The master clip is archived by using the PAM2MAM business process as a sub-process. This sub-process is started with parameters read from the configuration. See Configuring Master Clip Settings on page 63. When a master clip is archived, metadata is stored in AAF format and media files are stored in MXF Op-1a format. In addition, metadata (attributes, locators, restrictions) can be mapped during archiving to be displayed on the archived asset. Regardless if metadata are mapped for display purposes or not, all will be present in the AAF and used when an asset is restored. Archive Workflow If the master clip is archived for the first time: Associated media is archived as one MXF OP-1a file Master clip metadata is archived as Masterclip object in the One Archive database The metadata AAF file is archived A proxy video is automatically generated from the master clip If the master clip is archived again: Associated media is not archived again Master clip metadata is updated for the Masterclip object in the One Archive database The metadata AAF file is overwritten The existing master clip s proxy video is kept

Archiving Subclips Archiving Subclips Master Clip-Subclip Relation A subclip in Interplay Production represents a shortcut to a span of a master clip. A subclip has its own set of metadata and reuses the physical essence of its parent master clip. When a subclip is archived in One Archive, the same approach is used: The master clip asset holds the full video as the essence file; the subclip references the same essence files with specific start of content (SOC) and end of content (EOC) values; the values for SOC and EOC represent the borders of the subclip in Interplay Production. Due to this model, a subclip can never exist without its parent master clip. As a result, when archiving a subclip, the parent master clip is also archived (if it was not already archived). Archiving Subclips The subclip is represented by an ARCHIVED_SUBCLIP asset holding the subclip s MOB-ID in the PAM_SUBCLIP_MOBID property and the parent master clip s DMGUID in the PAM_PARENT_MASTERCLIP_DMGUID property. To visualize the relation between the master clip and the subclip, an association between both assets is created. In addition, the HiRes essence, proxy, and key frame set are referenced from the master clip asset. The SOC and EOC values are set to the borders of the subclip and the SOC frame is set as the thumbnail. The AAF of the subclip in Interplay Production is stored as the physical essence of the subclip in One Archive; the configured metadata mapping performs a mapping of properties in Interplay Production to properties in One Archive, as well as a mapping of locators in Interplay Production to strata in One Archive. See Configuring Subclip Settings on page 63. Archive Workflow If the subclip is archived for the first time: Associated media of the complete source master clip is archived as one MXF OP-1a file (if not already present) Subclip metadata is archived as a Subclip asset in the One Archive database Metadata is archived as an AAF file A proxy video from the master clip is generated (if not already present), the subclip In- and Outmarkers define the boundaries If the subclip is archived again: Associated media is not archived again Subclip metadata is updated for the Subclip object in the One Archive database The metadata AAF file is overwritten The existing proxy video from the master clip is kept, the subclip In- and Out-markers define the boundaries 18

Archiving Sequences Archiving Sequences Sequence-Master Clip Relation A sequence in Interplay Production represents a compilation of different spans of different master clips. A sequence has its own set of metadata and reuses the physical essences of its related master clips. When a sequence is archived in One Archive, a new asset is created that holds the original AAF of the sequence. The related master clips are also archived (if they have not been archived before). If possible, a mixdown of the sequence s compilation is created and stored on the sequence in One Archive. This mixdown is used as a preview of the original sequence in Interplay Production. It is also possible to create a working EDL on the One Archive side to perform a rough cut on the basis of the original sequence. This working EDL references the archived master clips. Archiving Sequences The sequences are archived by using the PAM2MAM business process as a sub-process. This subprocess is initialized with values read from the configuration. See Configuring Sequence Settings on page 64. The AAF of the sequence is stored as the physical essence of the sequence. The compilation of the sequence is stored in a One Archive EDL XML format in the property EDL_XML. Archive Workflow If the sequence is archived for the first time: Associated media of the complete source master clip is archived as one MXF OP-1a file (if not already present) Sequence metadata is archived as Sequence object in the One Archive database Metadata is archived as an AAF file A proxy video from the consolidated sequence (automatic mixdown) is generated If the sequence is archived again: Associated media is only archived if not already present Sequence metadata is updated for the Sequence object in the One Archive database The metadata AAF file is overwritten A proxy video from the consolidated Sequence (automatic mixdown) is generated and the existing proxy video is overwritten Archiving Assets When archiving an individual asset, users select the corresponding process to be used from the Actions menu, such as Archive Masterclip if one master clip is to be archived. If a user selects several assets with the same or different types (master clip, subclip, sequence), the Actions menu only offers the wrapper process Archive Asset(s) (PAM_ARCHIVE_ASSETS). 19

Auto Archiving The wrapper process evaluates the types of the attached assets and starts for each attached asset the corresponding sub-process: PAM2MAM_MASTERCLIP for each master clip PAM2MAM_SUBCLIP for each subclip PAM2MAM_SEQUENCE for each sequence A similar wrapper process is triggered when a user pastes assets to the Auto Archive folder. Auto Archiving Starting with version 1.1, One Archive provides an Auto Archive feature. One Archive adds an Auto Archive folder to the folder structure of the connected Interplay Production systems. Assets pasted to the Auto Archive folder are archived to a configurable folder. See Configuring Auto Archive Settings on page 62. If a user pastes one or more assets to the Auto Archive folder, the wrapper process Auto Archive (PAM_AUTO_ARCHIVE) is triggered. The wrapper process reads and validates the Interplay Production system-related configuration, evaluates the types of the pasted assets, and starts for each asset the corresponding sub-process: PAM2MAM_MASTERCLIP for each master clip PAM2MAM_SUBCLIP for each subclip PAM2MAM_SEQUENCE for each sequence A similar wrapper process is triggered when a user selects Archive Asset(s) from the MediaCentral UX Actions menu. Creating EDL from Sequence Object The One Archive business process PAM2MAM_SEQUENCE ( Archive Sequence ) imports an Interplay Production sequence and its referenced master clips to One Archive. The Interplay Production sequence is represented in the archive by an instance of a specific asset type ( Archived Sequence ). The sequence asset contains all relevant information about the Interplay Production sequence and its referenced master clips. The purpose of the Create EDL from Sequence Object process is to create a One Archive EDL asset as a working copy of the Interplay Production sequence. The process is triggered on the Archived Sequence asset. The resulting EDL asset enables the user to perform individual production steps in their specific workflow. Sequence and EDL assets are linked by a Data Manager association that allows the user to easily recognize the origin of an EDL. Additionally, the process offers the option to map specific property values from the sequence to the EDL asset. You can configure which EDL class is used for the EDL asset and which properties are transferred between the source and the target asset. See (Optional) Configuring Create EDL from Sequence Object on page 70. The following diagram illustrates the steps that are performed to create a One Archive EDL asset based on an Interplay Production sequence. 20

Restoring Assets Restoring Assets The Restore Asset(s) process restores an asset back to Interplay Production, including media and metadata. Restore Workflow If the master clip, subclip, or sequence has missing or offline media: The process can be triggered from MediaCentral UX Associated media is restored to the Nexis/ISIS workspace If the master clip, subclip, or sequence was deleted in Interplay Engine: The process can be triggered from MediaCentral UX The master clip, subclip, or sequence metadata is restored in the Interplay Engine database (AvidWG) The metadata AAF file is overwritten For a master clip, the associated media is restored to the Nexis/ISIS workspace; for a subclip or sequence, the associated media is (partially) restored to the Nexis/ISIS workspace Destination Folder in Interplay Production The following input parameters of the Restore Asset(s) process determine in which Interplay Production system folder the resulting asset is restored. Restore Target: A set of configuration settings that specify the destination folder in Interplay Production. Restore Target Location: This optional parameter specifies a specific folder in Interplay Production. If it is set, it overrules the folder specified by the parameter Restore Target. Target locations have to start with one of the top-level folders: Catalogs, Incoming Media, or Projects. 21

Restoring Assets By selecting the value Original Folders(s) you can restore an asset to its original location in Interplay Production. Restore Target Location Sub Path: This optional parameter defines a sub path that is concatenated with the folder defined by the parameters Restore Target or Restore Target Location. If the value Original Folders(s) is selected for the parameter Restore Target Location, the sub path is ignored. The following illustration shows the definition of the destination folder during the creation of a Restore Asset(s) process. For additional information, see Configuring the Restore Asset(s) Process on page

Defining Folder Permissions in One Archive Workspace Management Defining Folder Permissions in One Archive Workspace Management One Archive is delivered with a default folder structure that is shown in the MediaCentral UX Assets pane. This folder structure can be enhanced and edited based on One Archive folder permissions. One Archive default folders in the Assets pane shown to a Media Archivist One Archive default folders in the Assets pane shown to an administrator n You cannot set folder permissions in MediaCentral UX. You need to use One Archive Workspace Management to define read and write access for folders shown in the Assets pane. As a One Archive administrator, One Archive Workspace Management offers you options to set permissions for each individual folder. Each folder provides a Permissions dialog box to administrate its permissions. To change the permissions of a folder of another user, you must either have the One Archive User Management privilege Administration/Platform_Administration, or your group must have the Change Permissions right for a folder. As a One Archive administrator you have both rigths assigned by default. See the following topics: Accessing One Archive Workspace Management on page 55 Layout of the Permissions Dialog Box on page 56 Setting Folder Permissions on page 58 Working with Folders on page 59 Accessing One Archive Workspace Management As a One Archive administrator, you can set the permissions for the folders shown in the MediaCentral UX Assets pane. Layout of the Permissions Dialog Box You can open the Permissions dialog box by selecting Permissions from the context menu of a folder. In the Permissions dialog box you can grant folder access permissions and editing options to user groups. o Element Description 1 Owner Shows the name of the folder owner; this is the login name of the user who created the folder. 2 Inheritance check box Inherits the folder permissions of the parent folder (checked by default). Deselecting the check box allows you to convert inherited permissions to local permissions for the folder, or to remove all groups with inherited permissions from the Groups table. 56

Defining Folder Permissions in One Archive Workspace Management Element Description 3 Groups Shows groups with their permissions on the folder and indicates if the permissions are inherited from the parent folder; allows deletion of groups from the Permissions dialog. For additional information, see Elements of the Groups table on page Add button Opens a control that lists all groups defined in One Archive User Management and allows the selection of individual groups for assigning folder permissions. 5 Permissions Allows the assignment or removal of folder permissions. The permissions are arranged in four categories: Full Access Read Write Other Except Full Access, each category has several permissions that can be selected individually. Checking a permissions category check box checks all included permissions automatically. Inherited permissions are displayed read-only. For additional information, see Elements of the Permissions table on page Buttons Control the application of changes in the Permissions dialog: OK: Applies the changes and closes the Permissions dialog. Apply: Applies the changes without closing the Permissions dialog. Cancel: Closes the Permissions dialog without applying the changes. Elements of the Groups table The Groups table provides the following information and controls: Element Group Permissions Inherited Delete Description Shows the groups that are inherited from the parent folder or have been added by using the Add button. Selecting a group shows its permissions in the Permissions table. For users with Administration/Platform_Administration rights, the name of the group s tenant is shown in front of the group name for example, DEFAULT/admins. Shows the group s permissions category on the folder as defined in the Permissions table (Full Access, Read, Write, or Other) separated by a slash. If only individual permissions are assigned, and not a full category, Special is shown instead. The check box indicates if the permissions are inherited from the parent folder. Deletes the group from the Groups table. Elements of the Permissions table The Permissions table provides check boxes to apply permissions, as described in the following table. The check boxes are grayed out for inherited permissions. 57

Defining Folder Permissions in One Archive Workspace Management Category Permission Description Full Access Includes all permissions of the Read, Write, and Other levels. Read Read Grants the right to see the folder and its contents. Read Properties Read Extended Properties Read Permissions Not needed for One Archive/MediaCentral UX. Not needed for One Archive/MediaCentral UX. Grants the right to open the folder s Permission dialog in readonly mode. Write Write Grants the right to add and edit assets in the folder. Write Properties Write Extended Properties Create Folders Not needed for One Archive/MediaCentral UX. Not needed for One Archive/MediaCentral UX. Grants the right to create subfolders in the folder. Has no effect in the UI (the owner can be changed via the API) Grants the right to edit the folder s permissions in the Permission dialog. Setting Folder Permissions When setting folder permissions, consider the following basic concepts: Folder permissions operate on group level: You can grant the permissions of a folder to a group meaning all users of the group but not to individual users. Folder permissions can be restricted by the One Archive User Management group settings: If a group does not have the User Management right to create a folder, no member of that group is able to create a folder even if you grant the permission to that group in the Permissions dialog. See Assigning Create Folder Rights in One Archive User Manager on page 60. By default, the Use inherited permissions flag is set for each folder and the permissions of a parent folder are automatically inherited to its subfolders. You can convert inherited permissions to local permissions and adapt them. If you select the Use inherited permissions check box again, you add inherited permissions to the local permissions. Inherited and local permissions are cumulative. Releasing a subfolder does not automatically make it visible in the Assets pane folder structure. To make a released subfolder visible, grant the Read right to its parent folder or all parent folders of the node. A newly released folder is not automatically visible to users already signed in to MediaCentral UX. To see the newly released folder, users must refresh the display by clicking the Assets pane Refresh button. 58

Configuring the Restore Asset(s) Process Enhancing the Target Mapping Configuration The Restore Asset(s) process input parameter Restore Target (type: legal list) defines specific parameters that are used for the Restore operation, such as the Interplay Production system and target folder. These parameters are located in a configuration section of the MPI profile. The mapping of a legal list index to the specific restore target setting is realized as follows: 1. For each entry in the legal list PAM_OP1AARCHIVE_RESTORE_TARGETS, a key in the configuration section RestoreTargetMapping/Op1aArchive must exist. The naming scheme for the key name is LegalListID_<ID of LL entry> Example: LegalListID_0, LegalListID_1 2. The value of the respective key defines the path to a configuration section that holds the restore target parameters. This section must be located in its respective PAM workgroup restore section (PAM/<Workgroup>/Restore/*). The One Archive default configuration provides the following entries: In the legal list PAM_OP1AARCHIVE_RESTORE_TARGETS a default entry with ID 0 and English label Standard. In the profile MPI, section RestoreTargetMapping/Op1aArchive, the key LegalListID_0 with the value PAM/Workgroup/Restore/Standard/FromArchive. To configure auto archive settings: 1. In the profile MPI, select the newly created section PAM/<Workgroup2>/Archive/ Op1aArchiveAutoFolder. 2. Modify the following keys: - WatchfolderInterplayURI: The folder in the Interplay Production system that is used to trigger the auto archive process. For assets that are pasted to this folder, the process configured in the key ProcessClassName is started. - FailedWatchfolderInterplayURI: The folder in the Interplay Production system to which assets that failed auto-archiving are moved. - SuccessWatchfolderInterplayURI: The folder in the Interplay Production system to which successfully archived assets are moved. (Optional) Modifying the PAM Destination Folder For the new Interplay Production system that is to be connected, you may need to adapt the PAMDestinationFolder setting that is used by the Restore process. To modify the PAM Destination Folder setting: 1. In the profile MPI, select the newly created section PAM/<Workgroup2>/Restore/Standard. 2. Check and modify the key PAMDestinationFolder that defines which destination folder in the Incoming Media folder on the Production side is used for the restore. 3. If you changed the key in step 2, select the newly created section PAM/<Workgroup2>/Restore/ Standard/FromArchive and modify the key PAMDestinationFolder in the same way. 74

Modifying the Target Mapping Configuration Modifying the Target Mapping Configuration The Restore Assets process input parameter Restore Target (type: legal list) defines specific parameters that are used for the Restore operation, such as the Interplay Production system and target folder. You need to enhance the default target mapping configuration for the additional Interplay Production system, as described in the following procedure. For additional information, see Enhancing the Target Mapping Configuration on page 65. To enhance Op1aArchive target mapping: 1. Open Legal List Administrator. 2. Select PAM_OP1AARCHIVE_RESTORE_TARGETS from the Legal list selection list. 3. Click the Add button. 4. In the Add Entry dialog box, type a name for the new target in the Label(en) field (both for Tenant None and DEFAULT ) and click OK. Example: Standard_PAM2 5. In System Administrator, select the profile MPI. 6. Select the section RestoreTargetMapping/Op1aArchive. 7. Click the New Setting button. 8. In the New Setting dialog box, do the following: 75

Modifying the Target Mapping Configuration n a. Type the Name of the new key in the Name field. This must be LegalListID_<number> (such as LegalListID_1). The number must match the ID of the corresponding entry in the legal list PAM_OP1AARCHIVE_RESTORE_TARGETS. b. In the Value field, enter the name of the respective PAM workgroup restore section (PAM/ <Workgroup2>/Restore/*). Example: PAM/Workgroup2/Restore/StandardFromArchive c. Click OK. To enhance Production target mapping: 1. In Legal List Administrator, select PAM_CONFIGURATION_NAME from the Legal list selection list. 2. Click the Add button. 3. In the Add Entry dialog box, type a name for the new target in the Label(en) field (both for Tenant None and DEFAULT ) and click OK. Example: Standard_PAM2 4. In System Administrator, select the profile MPI. 5. Select the section RestoreTargetMapping/Production. 6. Click the New Setting button. 76

(Optional) Adding Another PAM Adapter Instance n 7. In the New Setting dialog box, do the following: a. Type the Name of the new key in the Name field. This must be LegalListID_<number> (such as LegalListID_1). The number must match the ID of the corresponding entry in the legal list PAM_CONFIGURATION_NAME. b. In the Value field, enter the name of the respective PAM workgroup restore section (PAM/ <Workgroup2>/Restore/*). Example: PAM/Workgroup2/Restore/Standard c. Click OK. 8. Go to the section PAM/<Workgroup2> and enter the ID of the new PAM_CONFIGURATION_NAME legal list entry as the value of the key DefaultRestoreLegalListId. (Optional) Adding Another PAM Adapter Instance For the new Interplay Production system that is to be connected, you may want to add an additional PAM Adapter instance. To add another PAM Adapter instance: 1. Open One Archive Control Center. 2. Click the Service Groups button on the One Archive Control Center s Home view. 3. Click the Edit button on the Service Group Distribution view toolbar. The view switches to edit mode. 4. Go to the PAMAdapter service group and click its Plus button. A new instance marked by a red asterisk is added. By default, a consecutive number is shown as the instance name. The instance name is used as a suffix in the identifier of the instance, the name of the configuration profile, and the URLs of the service s web interfaces. 5. (Option) Type a new instance name (suffix). If you delete the entry or type a suffix that is already used by another PAM Adapter instance, a warning opens when you leave the field. 6. Select the check box of the One Archive server. 7. Click Activate. The Activate Job(s) prompt opens. 77

Restarting the PAM Adapter 8. Click Yes. The Jobs view opens and the new PAM Adapter instance is installed on the One Archive server.
