3 1 Requirements One of the following software configurations is required for routing to drives: STEP7 V5 STARTER >V4.3 With the following software configurations the routing is possible too: STEP7 and S7 Technology STEP 7 and SIMOTION Scout V1.1 Issued /20

4 2 Creating a Project with an S7-300 Station In the first step you create a SIMATIC S7 project with an S7 300 station or open an existing project with a SIMATIC S7-300 and a CPU with a PROFIBUS-DPinterface. 5 3 Creating the hardware configuration The hardware used for this FAQ is a SIMATIC S7-300 with a CPU 315-2DP and the SINAMICS G120 training case with the CU240S DP F control unit. 3.1 Creating the SIMATIC hardware Open the hardware configuration HW-config and enter a SIMATIC S7-300 rack into the configuration, and then draw the desired CPU from the product tree to slot 2 in the SIMATIC rack. In the figure below the CPU 315-2DP was selected. Figure 3-1 Inserting the CPU V1.1 Issued /20

6 After inserting the CPU the property window Properties PROFIBUS interface DP opens. In this properties window you create a new subnet with the transmission rate, for example, of 1.5 Mbps via the New button. Accept the settings for the new subnet with the OK button. In the Properties PROFIBUS interface DP window you now select the Profibus address 2. Adopt the entries in the properties window of the Profibus-interface and then close with the OK button. 7 3.2 Activate the MPI interface For activating the MPI interface select the CPU on slot 2 and open the object properties of the CPU via the right mouse button. Open the properties of the MPI interface in the Interface field of the General tab via the Properties button. 8 3.3 Entering the G120 For entering the SINAMICS G120 you draw the SINAMICS G120 CPU240S DP F from the hardware catalog over the Profibus string at the CPU. The SINAMICS G120 is available in the hardware catalog at \Profibus DP\SINAMICS\G120. Figure 3-5 Inserting the SINAMICS G120 V1.1 Issued /20

9 After inserting the G120 the property window Properties PROFIBUS interface SINAMICS opens. In this properties window you set the Profibus address 3 for our example. Figure 3-6 Selecting the Profibus address After accepting the Profibus settings via the OK button, the selection window for the device version number of the SINAMICS G120 appears. In our example, device version V2.1x has been selected. Figure 3-7 Selecting the version number Note The selected Device-version must fit to the firmware version of the drive, or no access will be possible. The firmware version of the CU can be read out with the Operator panel in parameter r18. V1.1 Issued /20

10 After accepting the PROFIBUS settings via the OK button, the selection window for the device version number of the SINAMICS G120 appears. In our example the telegram Standard message frame 1, PZD-2/2 with Input/Output address 256 was used. In the Option filed the No safety setting was adopted. 12 4 Setting for Routing to G120 To enable the routing function from the programming device via the MPI-interface to SIMATIC S7-CPU and then further via the Profibus-interface to the SINAMICS G120 requires settings in the network configuration. The network configuration can be called directly from the hardware configuration via the Configure Network icon in the function bar. 13 Only one PG/PC station must be entered in the NetPro configuration. The PG/PC station is available in the catalog under the stations directory. For entering the PG/PC station you select it from the catalog via the left mouse button. Then draw the PG/PC icon into the work space of NetPro. Figure 4-2 Inserting a station PG/PC V1.1 Issued /20

14 As a next step open and set the properties of the station PG/PC. To do this select the select the PG/PC station with the right mouse button and select the object properties via the context menu. In the object properties you change into the Interface tab and there you enter a new interface via the New button. As an interface type you select the MPI-interface and accept it via the OK button. 15 As object properties of the MPI-interface you select the subnet MPI(1) with a transmission rate of Kbps and the address 0. Figure 4-4 Properties of the MPI-interface For activating the routing you switch to the Assignment tab of the PG/PC station. There you select MPI interface(1) in the Configurated Interfaces box and the interface module of your PG/PC in the Interface Parameter Assignment in the PG/PC box. In this example, CP5512 (MPI) has been selected. Figure 4-5 Assignment of the interface Then assign the routing function of the interface to the hardware module of your PG/PC by pressing the Assign button. Check whether after assigning the interface the S7Online Access setting has been set to Active. Accept the settings for the PG/PC station by pressing OK. V1.1 Issued /20

16 Figure 4-6 Assigning the S7 online access After setting the PG/PC station, the changed configuration must be saved and compiled. To do this you press the Save and compile button in the function bar of NetPro and select Compile and check everything in the dialog that follows. Figure 4-7 Save and compile V1.1 Issued /20

17 If the configuration was saved and compiled in NetPro without errors, the configuration can be transferred to the CPU. Select the SIMATIC 300(1) station and press the Download the selected station button in the function bar. Figure 4-8 Transferring the configuration Loading the selected station V1.1 Issued /20

18 5 Open the STARTER Engineering Tool After the configuration of the SIMATIC S7 station and the PG/PC station has been completed, the STARTER engineering tool can be opened. Switch to the SIMATIC Manager and select the SINAMICS_G120 object in the Details section via the right mouse button. You can now open the object, hence the STARTER, via the context menu. 19 After the STARTER engineering tool has been opened, you can call the online function. The online functions are started in the function bar via the Connect to target system button. Figure 5-2 Start online function Connect to target system V1.1 Issued /20

20 After the online connection with the system has been established, the configuration of the G120 can be downloaded to the PG by pressing the Load HW configuration to PG button.
