3 Detailed Summary of Import / Export Category Extension: This extension will import/export Category, Sub Category and Assign Product. You can import/export any type of Category Related data like Meta descriptions, Meta title, Meta keywords as well as if the category Active, Anchor, category description, category image, Page layout and custom layout. This extension facilitates creation of multiple categories, ata-time using CSV files. Update and insert Categories only one CSV used of this extension. Feature of this extension: Import/Export all category and related data. Update and Insert Categories in the Magento. Export category data including Product Sku. Support multi store and multi website. Import/Export category images and thumbnail images. Supported Magento version 1.4.X 1.9.X 3

4 How to Add Dataflow Advance Profile? You must have to follow below steps: Step-1 Go To System > Import/Export > Dataflow Advance Profiles Sections. Step-2 Go to Go to support tab and download import_category.txt and export_category.txt file. Step-3 Click on Add New Profile and Call it Import Category and Paste the contents from import_category.txt then Click on Save Profile. Step-4 Click on Add New Profile and Call it Export Category and Paste the contents from export_category.txt then Click on Save Profile. 4

5 How to create CSV? For CSV header Information Please See the Below Screen. Store_code - Set the Store Code. You can enter existing store code (see the above screen). It is required field. all_store_category_name - Set the Category name use for all store view. This field use only multi store with single root categories. If you changed change Category name then is required otherwise it is not required. (See the import_category_multistore_single_root_category.csv file.) category_name - Set Category Name Store Wise. Existing Sub Category Not Created on Same level of This Extension. Note if you set multi store then in csv first row of store category_name and all_store_category_name are same. 5

6 (For Example - Level 1 -> Subcategory1, Level 2 -> Subcategory1/subcategory2, Level3 -> Subcategory1/Subcategory2/Subcategory3) is_active - Set the Category is Active or not. 1=true/0=false url_key - Set the Category URL key. If you can not set any data in url_key field then extension will automatically create that URL key. thumbnail_image- Set the Thumbnail Image. description - Set the Category Description. image - Set the Category Image. page_title - Set the Page Tital. meta_keywords - Set the Meta Keywords. meta_description - Set the Meta Descriptions. 6

(For Example PRODUCTS/ PAGE/ PRODUCTS_AND_PAGE) Products only = PRODUCTS Static block only = PAGE Static block and products = PRODUCTS_AND_PAGE cms_block Set the CMS Block. (For Example Footer Links = 1) is_anchor Set the Category is Anchor or not. 1=true/0=false default_product_listing Set the Default Product Listing Sort By.(For Example position/ name/price) Best Value = position Name = name Price = price 7

8 price_step Set the Layered Navigation Price Step. Screen 1.3 use_parent_category Set the Use Parent Category Settings. 1=true/0=false apply_to_products Set the Apply to Products Active or not. It is used if Use Parent Category Settings is disabled. 1=true/0=false custom_design Set the Custom Design Settings. It is used if Use Parent Category Settings is disabled. (For Example base/default or default/blank or default/default or default/iphone or default/modern or default/your theme name) active_from Set the Active From. It is used if Use Parent Category Settings is disabled. active_to Set the Active To. It is used for only Use Parent Category Settings in Disabled. page_layout Set the Page Layout. It is used if Use Parent Category Settings is disabled. 9 custom_layout Set the Custom Layout Update.It is used if Use Parent Category Settings is disabled. Screen 1.4 sku Set the product SKU in this filed, whatever sku you will add in this filed, that products will assign to this category. Separate products SKU with pipe ( ) sign. 10 Sample import categories CSV:- Go to Go to support tab and download IMPORT-EXPORT-CATEGORIES-SAMPLE-CSV.ZIP file. import_categories_all_fields.csv Using this csv you can import all the fields. import_category_multistore_different_root_category.csv It is only Multi store With Different Root category wise Created Sample CSV. import_category_multistore_single_root_category.csv - It is only Multi store with single Root category wise Created Sample CSV. (See the all_store_category_name & category_name Column). import_categories_min_required_fields.csv Insert min required category data wise Created Sample CSV. import_categories_min_required_fields_with_images.csv Insert min required fields with Category images. import_category_without_product.csv - Without Product Wise Created Sample CSV. 10

11 Configuration Settings You must have to follow below steps: Go to System -> Configuration -> MageBees -> Import Export Categories OR Go to MageBees -> Import Export Categories. You will get Following Screen. Here, you can Set sku field enabled or not in your export csv file. 11

12 How to import categories? You must have to follow below steps: Step-1 Prepare your CSV as per our documentation. For more detail see (How to create CSV?) Create new import_category.csv File. Note: - Do Not Change CSV header and CSV Name. Please Check Below Screen. Step-2 Upload import_category.csv File in your <Magento_Root>/var/import folder. Step-3 Create import folder in your <Magento_Root>/ media folder. Step-4 Create category folder in your <Magento_Root>/media/import folder. Step-5 Upload Category Images in your <Magento_Root>/media/import/category folder. Step-6 Go to Your Site Backend. Step-7 Go To System > Import/Export > Dataflow Advance Profiles Sections. 12

13 You will get Following Screen. Step-8 Click On Import Category then you will get Following Screen. Step-9 Click on Run Profile tab (From left Navigation). You will get Following Screen. 13

14 Step-10 Click on Run Profile in Popup Button then You will get Following Screen. Note: Please do not close this screen before completing process. It will lead undesired results if you closed before complete the process. If during import Category there is any error occurs then it will be highlighted in red alert box. Step-11 Now categories imported successfully. Check the Manage Category page. 14

16 How to Export categories? You must have to follow below steps: Step-1 Go to Your Site Backend. Step-2 Go To System > Import/Export > Dataflow Advance Profiles Sections. You will get Following Screen. Step-3 Click On Export Category then you will get Following Screen. 16

17 Step-4 Click on Run Profile tab (From left Navigation). You will get Following Screen. Step-5 Click on Run Profile in Popup Button then You will get Following Screen. Step-6 Now categories exported successfully. You can get export_category.csv in <Magento-Root>>/var/export/ file. You can get category Images in <Magento-Root>/media/catalog/category. 17

18 FAQ:- Q-1: I click on Run Profile in Popup in Import Category Section then I get the following error Could Not Load file:...\...\var\import\import_category.csv. This error showing that import_category.csv not properly upload So Please upload import_category.csv File in your <Magento_Root>/var/import folder. Q-2: I click on Run Profile in Popup in in Import Category Section then I get the following error Method SaveRow Not defined in adapter.. This error showing that this Extension not properly installs. So Please Properly installs this Extension. Q-4: I click on Run Profile in Popup in in Export Category Section then I get the following error Fatal error: Class Mage_Magebees_Importcategory on line no 182 This error showing that this Extension not properly installed. So Please Properly installed this Extension. Q-5: I click on Run Profile in Popup in in Export Category Section then I get the following below screen This error showing that because of max execution time is very low in your store. So please increase your server max execution time our limit. 18

19 Q-6: I am getting max execution time error, what I have to do? If you getting time out then increase your time our limit. For that you have to consult you hosting guy. Q-7: I am getting var/export directory does not exit! error? This error comes due to var/export directory does not exists or not having write permission. Q-8: How to import/update Multi store with Single root category? Please see the import_category_multistore_single_root_category.csv. See the all_store_category_name Column. Please insert the All Store View Wise Category Name in all_store_category_name Column. (See the below Screen). See the category_name Column. Please insert the Store View Wise Category Name in category_name Column. (See the Below Screen) More Refer see the import_category_multistore_single_root_category.csv. Q-9: How to Export store wise Category? Go To System > Import/Export > Dataflow Advance Profiles Sections. Click On Export Category then you will get Following Screen. 19
