2 1. Safety Caution & System Requirements Safety Caution 1. In order to obtain optimum performance and ensure patient safety, please read this instruction manual thoroughly. 2. Do not use UB CAM PRO if you notice any signs of damage or malfunction. Contact PROVIX or its official distributor in your country immediately. 3. Do not use in the presence of flammable anesthetics. 4. Do not use any other attachments other than the attachments designed by Provix exclusively for UB Cam. 5. Use caution when inserting speculum into the ear canal. 6. Other than speculum attachments, do not disinfect UB Cam by using oxide gas, steam or any liquid disinfectant. 7. This product complies with current required standards for electromagnetic interference and should not present any complications to other equipment or devices. Avoid using this device in close proximity of other equipment. 8. Do not connect UB Cam before you complete its software installation on your system. 9. Close & save all programs before installing UB CAM PRO Software. 10. Keep out of reach of children. To be used by trained personnel only. Introduction of Software Installation Process Introduction of Software Installation Process Before installing Software, Please check the Basic System Requirements below: * Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 * USB 2.0 port Please close all windows & save all data. * Caution for users who use Video Recording Function * If you are frequently recording Video from UB CAM PRO, we highly recommend installing Video Codec in order to reduce the size of AVI file. When you install Video Codec, you have to follow the directions in this manual completely due to the Special Video Codec Installation Process. (DO NOT JUST CLICK NEXT NEXT, YOU CANNOT INSTALL the Video Codec properly!) - For detailed installation process, please refer to page 6. 2

4 Introduction of Software Installation Process 1. Please insert the CD provided by PROVIX 2. Double Click CD -Driver, or open the files in CD 1. Open UB CAM PRO INSTALL folder 2. Double Click setup file 3. Installation process will be started as above, Click Next 3 4. After designating folder, Click Next

5 Introduction of Software Installation Process 5. Click Restart computer and Click Finish 6. After restarting your computer, you can find this Icon. Now you are ready to use UB CAM PRO. Just plug in! & Double-Click this icon. If you would like to keep installing Compressed Video Codec, please see the next page and follow the directions. 4

Introduction to Diagnostic Software Operation Process Introduction to Diagnostic Software Operation Process After finishing installation process as directed, you can now activate the Diagnostic Software. This section contains useful information for users while they are operating this software. We also recommend reading this section to achieve better performance from and for complete understanding of the software. Introduction of Diagnostic Software Operation Process 1. Connect USB output of UB CAM PRO to USB Port 2. LED & Power Light turn on automatically 3. Attach the speculum to UB CAM PRO (meet each point of speculum & UB CAM PRO) Twist the Speculum to the right (counterclockwise the point of speculum has to be moved to left side)

13 Options & Functions In Image View Menu If you click button, you will have this kind of Viewing Screen. Note the 3 red rectangles with numbers. If you take a look at the next page, you can have detailed descriptions about these functions. 12

14 Options & Functions In Image View Menu 1 * View Icon: If you click this icon, you can the live image. * Pen Icon: After pressing Freeze Button, if you click this icon you can draw lines on the captured image. * Eraser Icon: If you click this icon, you can erase what was drawn. * Pen Color Icon: Choose pen color by selecting color choice here. * Print Icon: Print the current captured image. 2 * Image Control Icon: If you click this icon, you can control the Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation, Sharpness, Gamma, Backlight Comp. * Save Icon: If you click this icon, you can save the current image(s) and designate the folder & file name. * Full Screen Icon: If you click this icon, the screen will be exchanged to the full screen mode. 3 * Full Mode: If you click this icon, a single image screen will appear. * Half Mode: If you click this icon, a dual image screen will appear. * Quarter Mode: If you click this icon, a quarter screen will appear. 13

16 1 Options & Functions In Image Management Menu * Capture Tab: In this tab, you can capture the image(s) or record the video(s). Captured images will be saved automatically & shown to the below screen (#5). * Image Tab: In this tab, you can edit image(s). * Movie Tab: In this tab, you can open & play the movie(s). 2 3 * Image tools: Automatically saved pictures can be edited by these tools in Image tab. * Recording Icon: You can record & save the video through this icon. * Stop Recording Icon: If you click this icon, recording video will be stopped & saved. * Save Icon: If you click this icon, you can save the current image(s) and designate the folder & file name. * Full Screen Icon: If you click this icon, the screen will be changed to the full screen mode. 4 5 * Image Control Icon: If you click this icon, you can control the Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation, Sharpness, Gamma, Backlight Comp. * The folder for auto -saving images: If you capture image(s) in Image Management Menu, the captured images will be saved in this folder automatically. * Pre-view : This shows the images that you captured. If you click on the image, you can edit the image. If you double-click the image, you can delete the image. 15
