2 InSite the complete tool for InSite is a unique engineering tool that lets you both engineer SeaChange systems and access existing systems to give full information and engineering control in minutes. This allows engineers easily to investigate existing installations for trouble shooting or extension without the need for any prior data about the Site. The details of an existing installation can be discovered by InSite in minutes. All the modules are recognised along with their interconnects and engineering parameters so the whole set up of the system is revealed. The as installed information can be stored and provided to the user with the free InSite Reader which allows the stored site information to be viewed but not updated or changed.this is ideal for O & M Manuals. InSite can be used to view the real time information about the system including current values, alarms and fault status. It can also set working parameters such as setpoints and time schedules, making it a tool to operate and maintain systems as well as document them. The system can be initially installed and set up using SeaChange plug and play engineering or InSite can be used to engineer the system, setting the modules engineering parameters and interconnects directly, making it a powerful tool to fully engineer the systems. InSite runs on most PC that support Windows and can be connected locally via an SLT module or remotely connected by modem. 4 Module Registration View The Module Registration viewer on the left of the screen shows the different modules in the system and the interconnections between them. It also shows the Alarm and Manual state of each module - look for the flashing Bell and Hand symbols. The Interconnects between the modules can be viewed and changed from InSite so the system can be fully engineered using this tool. The Registration View shows all the main Modules and submodules in the system. Just Click on the + symbols in the tree to show the submodules and the - symbol to collapse the tree again. The modules can be renamed to give them site specific descriptions. The Demand structure can be displayed by selecting from the pull down menu. There are separate views for Heat Demand, Cool Demand and Occupancy Demand Interconnects. Use the InSite Helper to set or change the Demand Interconnects using Drag and Drop engineering or just click on the module and drop it into the structure at the right point. The Supervision structure is shown in one view. Put the cursor on any module to see the Supervision Interconnects that exist - Setpoint, Occupancy and Time Schedule Supervision Interconnects. The Interconnect Type can be changed when InSite is in Engineering Mode. The Supervision Interconnects can be created by putting the Master Module into Configuration Mode and Operating the Registration Button on the Slave. These can be remotely activated in the Parameter View of InSite

5 Module Parameters The Module Parameter view on the right of the screen shows the different parameters in each module to view temperatures and Input Status or to make changes to the Configuration Parameters to make engineering changes. Select a Module in the Registration Window and use Right Click or Pull Down Menu to select Device Data. The Results Bar in the Right Hand screen lets you select the appropriate information - Sensors, Configuration parameters etc. The 4 character mnemonics from the Controller give way to full Text so MAXF becomes Maximum Flow Temperature Setpoint. The Custom List feature allow a combination of Parameters from a module to be displayed on one screen which is useful when commissioning a number of modules of the same type. Graphs of logged variables can be displayed - click on the the appropriate sensor value which shows the graphing Ikon or use the chart feature to chart variables directly into InSite. Module Details show Information about the module selected including the software version and the primary Interconnects. It is now possible to change the driver type from InSite so a Module can be changed from Time Proportional to Raise Lower Output if it turns out the valve is different from expected. Select by Right Click on the Module and select Advanced Features. See Design Guide or InSite Help for settings.

Select site name in Registration Structure to see site wide alarm, or select individual module to show it alarms To acknowledge Alarms right click on alarm message in Alarm history window Alarm Mode parameter in each module determines whether module reports alarms

7 Referencing Information from SeaChange CD The module information contained on the SeaChange CD can be automatically accessed while using InSite. Select the information to be provided by right click on the module in registration view and select Configuration parameters, Data Sheet or Wiring Schedule. Insite will select the appropriate module and will track the Configuration Parameter selected. Don t forget to have the SeaChange CD in the Computer! Documentation InSite can be used to provide Site documentation for the user in a number of ways: Paper, Electronic or Interactive using HTML linking to site wide information. Paper based information can be provided as a file to print from InSite that lists all modules and their parameter settings Electronic information is disk based and is in the same screen format as shown here. This can be read only information using the free InSite Reader provided with the product or full dynamic information with the ability to make changes if a full version of InSite is used. Interactive Information means you can create HTML based documentation for the site that links to InSite and any other system information

8 InSite Free 60 Day Trial Use the Engineering Tools CD to load InSite on to your PC for a free 60 Day Trial. At the end of the trial period InSite will revert to a Reader only version so you will be able to view any information you have created but not to see dynamic information or make changes until you obtain a full license for InSite. You can load the Free Trial version on as many machines as you like but you will not be able to reload the Free Trial version onto the same machine again.
