19 Application Evaluation Goal: To determine whether users are able to navigate to locations more efficiently using our application. Destinations: HSB1, HSB2, HSB208, HSB316, HSB starting locations Total of 35 routes

20 Procedure 1. 9 participants were selected and briefed. 6 used app and 3 did not. 2. Complete the consent form. 3. Start at any starting location. 4. Asked to navigate to a specific room. After they reach the room, repeat with another room. 5. Mistakes made and questions asked are noted. Participants are timed. 6. Complete the questionnaire.

23 Findings Average Time to Complete Tasks: 9 minutes and 22 seconds with app. 10 minutes and 40 seconds without app. Some participants made no mistakes, while others made one or two. Control group participants took different paths to destinations, struggled with room on a different floor. Participants using app rated the tasks as easy, while control group was split.

24 Future Work Some user study responses were used to improve the app. Investigate ways to ensure users maintain awareness of surroundings. Expand upon routes, different buildings, larger scale user study Improvements could be made to aspects of the application: look-and-feel, reliability, bugs, etc.
